I don't wanna think what a brief existence any C.J. Cherryh novels would have in front of your eyes. Though with her fantasy that's not a bad thing. |

One of the very few cases (two) where I couldn't finish a book bad. Her SF is great though - I highly recommend "The Pride of Chanur" to any-everyone pretty much. |

Hm. I find that if I'm not all that thrilled with a book, it's not all that hard to put it down. *shrug* So I've done it - rather a lot with authors like Ed Greenwood. He's got a couple, but most... |

I actually find it difficult to put down a book if I don't like it, but once I've put it down, even more difficult for me to pick it back up again. I have three cases where I couldn't fnish a book....one of them Harry Potter. It was a small library and there weren't many books I even recognized...yuck. |

Well, I'm of the sort that doesn't like to get too attached to the book. Makes it that much easier to drop if I don't like it.

Whereas I'm the sort of person who will get so into the book, that I will get seriously embarrased if a viewpoint character does something I would consider stupid or embarrasing, and usually have to put the book down for a little and yell at the character before reading on.

Started reading the Landover books, finished the first one now halfway through the second. Also while looking through a website that lists fantasy books, I came across one that interested me, The Secret of the Unicorn Queen. I'm trying to get my hands on this book but the search isn't an easy one since it's also sadly out of print. Btw; Has anyone here heard/read this book? |

Sorry Feyna, never heard of it. *shrugs* I just finished Daughter of Prophecy, which was pretty good. I'm also reading The Warrior Heir now, which is great! |

I started The Legend of Drizzt series (by R A Salvatore). The first book was good. Unfortunately, the libnrary doesn't have the second book. |

Question. When you say "first" book, which do you mean? I actually read them in close to the order he wrote them, and loved the Icewind Dale Trilogy (first ones he wrote, I understand). Though I only got about 6 before I was like... This is kinda the same as I read last book. Though Transitions was sufficiently different that at least "The Orc King" was good. |

Oh, right. I started them in order stroy-wise chronologically, so I've read Homeland. |
