DUDE I ACTUALLY READ A FICTIONAL BOOK JUST NOW!

...I totally finished The Hobbit; picking it back up five years after starting it. My family is so proud of me. Though the only reasons were a) I started a race to finish it with a nine year old at my church, and b) my mom found and bought an edition with pictures in it. :P

Surely it's a real book, not a fictional one, if you managed to read it.

But more importantly, was it any good?

Great Job, Me! Did you like it? I actually liked it better than the Lord of the Rings Trilogy (a bit easier reading, too).

I nearly cried for about 20 pages... I was so bored.
 But tedious descriptions of terrain aside, it was pretty good. I liked it, even if it was rammed down my throat metaphorically speaking. Now I just have to start and finish the trilogy before Saturday.

I especially liked the part with Gollum. ^_^

I'm re-reading my Narnia books...There just too good to read once! And reading it again is like I never read it in the first place. I can't believe I missed so much. 8D

Oh, and if anybody was going to go see The Dawn Treader....

DONT. BECAUSE THEY DID EVERYTHING WRONG.

I watched the trailer for that.... I was wondering why they had glowing blue swords and the white witch (again) when they weren't in the book..... :stare:

And the dragon with the sea serpent. Those were two completely seperate events....

Is worse than Prince Caspian for things done wrong?

I actually can't help but here Gollum from the old animated "The Hobbit" whenever anybody mentions eggs. ANd then I started texting my oldest brother every time this would happen, so now He can't either. BA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!!

"Eggs! Eggs!!"

LOL I watched that when I was a little girl - like six or something. I don't remember anything but my older siblings started hissing about "my birthday present" every birthday as a result.

I really liked Bilbo at the beginning with the 'good morning' scene.

It's allowed, but not advised.
