Last year on my birthday I was going under to get my toothers ripped out of my head/lying on my bed feeling my pulse through my gums afterward; so it really wasn't that I forgot it but a "Why do I CARE? I wish I were DEAD". XD

Eh, it was the only time I've been allowed to sleep 20 hours a day for about 2 weeks. All things considered it didn't hurt when I wasn't conscious - so I just stayed unconscious.

?? Dude, they made you sign something confirming you HAD a ride - you weren't lawfully ALLOWED to drive yourself home after! I would have if I could have! (Though, considering the nurses said hey kept barely catching me before I hit the floor 3 times over and that I kept climbing out of my chair insisting I was fine and protesting being held in, it's a good thing I couldn't.)

That probably depends on how they did the procedure. Did they give you a full anesthetic or something? I can't imagine what else would have you so groggy you nearly hit the ground three times.
I just had a local anesthetic both times; there would be absolutely no reason why I couldn't have driven myself home had I a car and a license. I wouldn't be inclined to steer with my teeth at the best of times

Oh, ok. Yeah, they put me WAAAYY under -with an IV, heart monitor and everything. Laughing gas first, then whatever they used to knock me out. I remember thinking: "I wonder how long this will... oh, there it is." when he put the shot in the IV. It felt like someone reached into my brain and hit "Off".
And I think the weirdest thing about it is the slight amnesia that comes with it. I can't remember actually falling asleep or waking up. I remember hearing him ask me to open and feeling tools for a few seconds but then it was like I blinked and everything was gone. 0.o Then all I can remember is a nurse walking me to dad and dad putting me into the car.

I will never allow them to put me under. EVER. NO. THANK. YOU. Bad enough whatever they used to keep me from thrashing around when I was in a coma - took me as long to recover from that as for them to patch the hole in my spine. X_X

Give me a local. Yeah, I'll still feel some probably but SO WHAT. I do every freakin' day of my life. I deal.

But it was even better than NORMAL sleep - it was BEAUTIFUL, even! And it didn't make me sick, just groggy - which (they said I wouldn't feel pain for at least 6 hours, and it bloody hurt after 10 minutes because of the complications that had broken blood vessels all outside my cheek as a result) at the time really was a blessing.

they had to put me under because i refused to get the fourth shot...4 teeth, 4 shots in the mouth...ouch, no thanks >>
of course trying to put me uder was worse...but i'm still here ^^; and i got twenty bucks from the tooth fairy, so it's all good ;D

they tried the laughing gas...no way i was breathin that stuff...smelled funny (hehe...laughing gas smelled funny  )they were confused, "why is having no affect?" duh! cuz i'm too smart to fall for that >:O
i tricked doctors when i was little...they thought i was behaving just to get the stickers or a lolly...haha! suckers!

so we had to go the hard way :/ but it was worth the 5 minute dream...last i saw were lights and people, woke up on a bench...good stuff @_@

XD Shots? I didn't get a shot - he put it into the IV. The only way I can see myself resisting being put under would be if I were on my own 'cause I don't trust humans as a general rule. But since I had my dad there I knew I'd be fine.

I wish I had gotten 20$ - I couldn't even have Christmas Eve dinner! I could only eat the Jello that my little sis made me as a surprise.

Laughing gas didn't do anything for me other than regulate my heart. It wasn't a novelty or something that made me do anything - it was just soothing. I'm told I take well to things, though. It's hard to affect me past the desired outcome.

well i'm a rebel (yeah, yeah...big surprise) getting me to take a shot is a tedious task...the nurse would have to have a lot...and i do mean A LOT of patience....
when i was little they tried to bribe me with stickers...what they failed to realize is that i had resovled to cooperate before i eve knew i'd get any and the day they stopped giving them to me, i was upset and still did nothing outrageous (i make my own independent decisions)
but four shots in the mouth...and they had to do that twice...well three times since the first was incomplete ^^;
they were upset with me...but ya can't push me :/ they tried to convince me....they couldn't even get me to inhale that gas...no way, jose, am i gonna do something i'm being pushed to XD

no shots for me >>

I didn't mind shots. I kinda didn't care. It was something that had to be done and there was no getting out of it, so I just figured there was no use thinking about it. (Though the ones in your mouth do hurt - I got one a few weeks ago.) Actually, I have never resisted doctors in any way except for one thing: The part when you're little and they want to take your pants and drawers off during your check up - I held tight to my pants and growled "I'd want my mama to, please."

But what's wrong with the gas that you didn't want it? It was pretty normal. It was just breathing cold air, pretty much. Smelled a little funny, but if I need it to not feel anything, I was THERE.

When they injected the local anesthetic in my mouth, it didn't really hurt the first time, but the second time was a bit more painful. Although that might just be because I expected it to hurt the first time, and so it was better than I expected; and then the second time I expected it to be alright, and it was worse in comparison.
Or maybe the second guy just was lousy at sticking needles in my palate properly. He had a better bedside manner though; although I'd say the first was better technically. (But then, they were dealing with different situations, so it's hard to compare).
