That's only assuming that those you know you really know, and those you think you don't you don't, because you might know you think you know the ones you know, but you'll never really be sure until you're sure you know, eh?

Although, you know you're never really sure you know until/unless it's become academic to know (ex: the person in question is dead).
Which is what makes it so fun. B)

On the other hand, you wonder why people don't understand my mortal fear of people. <shrug>

exactly...but i have found an inverse proportion between what i 'know' and what i really know and it drives me crazy to the point that i don't know who i do know and either way i feel lost because i don'y know if who i think i know ends up being the one i never knew and stabbs me in the back like all the rest

another reason why people tend to label me as distant when in realiy i am actually quit freindly :(

actually i found someone i hardly knew to care more about me than anyone i think i know/knew and i even found out how much i cared without really knowing him

(that may not seem like much but i'm holding back tears just thinking of it)
the world fell apart with his death...but i found that i can still talk to him (no i am not an insane person who halucinates...but i have seen him he has visited me a few times)

more details later maybe

/pats Dark. *Sigh* My cousin did the same thing.

/hugs Kari sympathetically

See, I know how different I am on here than in real life - here I'm as cheery as I am at home, but in life outside my comfort zone I'm a very serious, reserved, and (unfortunately sometimes irritable) calculating person who thrives on logic. So I assume that people are just as different and the person you know online could be totally different than they are in real life.

(Dark and I would still probably be scary, though. And I'd get along with just about everyone here as long as long as I acted not like my quiet calculating self.)

Yeah, I'm a lot different than this- except with people I'm comfortable with. Then I'm pretty much like this. It's fun, although there's more interruption in real life conversations.

Yeah, trust me - if you met me on the street, you'd forget I was even there after thirty seconds. I kinda fade into the background. I'm one of those people that likes to let others drive the (metaphorical) car - I prefer the backseat, 'cause there's more room to stretch out and get comfortable. I like to take it pretty easy.

But I don't handle stupidity well.

Not really what you'd think of me, considering what I'm like on these forums, huh?

Wow. I think we are related. That's kinda freaky. :)

@Jason: How do you do that? High school was kinda like that because everybody knew me, so nobody really took note when I was around and when I wasn't. (now that's a story...) :P But otherwise I stand out too well for my taste.

Not so crazy. I actually have a pretty good idea what you mean. <gives Kari a warm sweet roll and a hug>

Shutting up a lot helps. I'm really quite quiet outside my house - which is my comfort zone, not to mention it was also my preschool, kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high school. The only person in high school with me was my older sister, and we don't really have a problem with fading into the background when we're together.
