the latter meaning the first one?
Huh? When does "the latter" ever mean the first one? *confused*
Out of two options, the former is the first one, the latter is the second one.
They assumed I liked to read, but I didn't.

I eventually end up reading every book I get, even if I think it'll be boring- it's this curse called insatiable curiosity. :P It may take me a while to get around to it, but it'll get read. Which is why if I start a book and then never finish it, you know I think it's really bad.

If you try to get me to read a book, I usually don't pick up an interest in it, but if you just say, "That was a cool enough book" I'll read it.

The Famous Five? My sympathies extended.

*sticks out tongue* I was the difficult little sister of my sweet older siblings.
*dryly* Somehow I find that...very hard to imagine. *choke*
Hmmmm....I- I think he just might have used sarcasm there...
Naw...not me...I never use sarcasm...

Oh really?
I read most books I come across, though there are some I find too boring and so quit in the middle. (ex. Captains Courageous, I HATED that book)

I almost bloodied my knuckles once... I punched the wall and forgot it was rough and had lots of little bumps (I was really mad at the time)

I don't tend to do that, primarily because it could lead to complications (read: broken hands) that get to be a problem when one has to type...

Ehe... I also wanted to figure out what it was like (reading about people punching walls, punching holes in walls, etc.)

Yeah...punching holes in walls is possible when the wall is drywall. It's a little bit harder when it's brick.

Or concrete. I would recommend doing that only if you actually like bloody knuckles. It hurts. :sweatdrop:

ok now it makes sense (and yes...i am often confused by those -i like first and second :P - i guess you can call it a dislexia of the mind...same happens with stalagmites and stalegtites...)

i can give you my reasoning for my confusion...but i don't wanna confuse you

It's stalactites. And you can remember it by stalagmites are on the ground and stalactites are on the ceiling. ;)

I actually read the first Harry Potter book by accident. I was home alone, bored and someone had left it sitting face down on the couch. I never looked at the cover until I finished the book an hour later. :P

I started reading those about 2-3 years ago. They're pretty good, but nothing of Salvatore/Denning/Tolkien/Lewis/Eddings caliber.
