.........................../listening to Amaranth.......... Would you really believe me if I said "True"?

The next person had actually solved a Rubik's Cube without peeling the stickers off.

You can't do sit-comms in animation. :P
(Of course you can. Haven't you watched e.g. minami-ke? Actually, tons of anime are sitcoms.)

False. I think I solved it once with peeling the stickers off, but I really don't find it an interesting puzzle to play with.

The next person is sleepy.

(But not like Big Bang Theory or Frasier. Some situations just can't live to their full potential unless you have real people acting them out.)

True.

The next person thinks that the only people allowed to take offense at something are the people to whom it actually APPLIES. (As in, the actual gay people are allowed to get mad at "That's so gay", but the straight people need to shut it. Same for racist jokes.)

(I would say that similarly some (comedic and other) situations can't live up to their full potential when acted out by real people. To be honest, I often don't find characters in live-action sitcoms believable; yet live-action, as opposed to animation, implies they ought to be, so it irritate the hell out of me).

False, generally.
People are allowed to feel strongly about issues that don't directly involve themselves. They should, in fact; empathy is a basic component of humanity. On the other hand, this does not mean they (or even the people it does pertain to) should take offense at remarks that were not meant to be offensive. And then, again, that doesn't mean you shouldn't address such remarks anyway; even if you recognize that no ill intent was meant, and take no offense, it is not a bad thing to speak out against careless slurs. Because, ultimately, it reflects a bias that will be reflected in how they (unconsciously) treat people. And people should be aware of their biases, so they can work on countering them.

The next person thinks offense is the best defense.

(that's also true. which is why we have good and bad sitcoms in both animation and live action. )

Right. But there's quite the difference between addressing something and yelling about how you should burn in hell for your insensitivity.
If you know the person speaking or it applies to you, you have the right to ASK them to be more careful with their words. A random person 3 feet away whom it does not apply who overhears you telling your guy friend trying on a dress that he looks gay does not get to chew you out.
As far as I'm concerned, also, telling someone they look like something when they do is not a slur - it's an observation. Telling a white boy in rapper attire he looks like one isn't racist. I could start flying off the handle every time someone dons a sombrero and starts "Ay-yay-yay!" ing, being half Spaniard.

It just seems to me a lot of overreacting on only a few peoples' behalf when you have no business doing so is out of line. Even more so if no offense was intended, and it doesn't apply to you.

True. I gnaw on a lot of things.

The next person knows who Simon & Garfunkel are.

True, some of their songs are in my winamp playlist; well, one at least, I don't really keep track, but I've definitely seen their name in there.

The next person has enough anime and J-pop in their music list to be slightly embarrassed should anyone get hold of it.

False; I don't really listen to pop of any type.

The next person would take the assignment of writing a 5 page essay on the symbolism of this music video off my hands gladly.
(I mean, yes, there is a LOT of material in there I can use - society, segregation, governmental dividing, apathy, denial, societal gluttony and psychological imprisonment, to say the least -but still... depressing.)

False. I hate writing essays. Besides, I assume you have a deadline and can't wait till next year for it to be finished.

The next person think people oughtn't have to write essays when it still ought to be vacation.

Basically if it can't be done in a week, it won't be done for a year.
