Yes to both. I loved the Amazon Trail - aside the contest "We need to get moving along" "What should we do with this?" that got SO SO annoying. I don't think you realize how much time the kids in my family have individually logged on that game trying to outdo each other (especially in getting the pictures of those stupid hummingbirds)in the hall of fame.

I hold first place in the Amazon Trail hall o fame.

"Where in the WORLD is Carmen" was too hard for me to really like it when I played it, and it went missing when I could. How about the Where in TIME is Carmen Sandiego? THAT WAS SO MUCH FUN. And did anyone watch the TV series?

Oh, my sister and I could never get enough of a kick out of finding Carmen and bringing her to justice...and then she'd escape again.

Hah, in amazon trail I'd never get to the end if need be.... I would fish and go into the jungle so much... I tried to get every single animal/plant in my logbook thing once... not sure if I made it though (and once I purposely failed my mission.... kept tipping the boat over)

Rocket Ranger. That game is, if no one gets the term, "Nintendo Hard."
Myself, my brothers and both my parents have each individually (and helping each other) logged RIDICULOUS numbers of hours on that game. None of us, nor ANYone else we've met who've played it have made it farther than one certain level. We don't even know how far into the game it is, really.

and dune 2000 was strange...for some reason i never could do anything or go anywhere...couldn't access missions or recieve quests
I think you're thinking of Dune, rather than not Dune 2000 (which is just a remake of Dune II). Dune 2000 is a real time strategy game, not a role playing game. (Although, granted, Dune has some RTS elements as well. But Dune 2000 doesn't have quests.)

Yeah...Dune 2000 was a Battle For Middle-Earth/Command & Conquer/Axis & Allies -type game. You worked your way through a series of maps in a campaign based on your House (Atreides (blue), Harkonnan (red), and that green-colored House that started with an 'O' that I can never remember), commanding troops on the ground and trying beat everybody else...

I wonder where that went. I'd love to play that again. *goes off to look*

no it says 2000...but it could possibly be refering to the windows version that can run it :-/

Ordos. Dune II they were great, because they had their special missle tanks that released a mind control gas so instead of destroying the other units, you took them over.

But yeah, Atreides is the way to go.
