Ordos, that's the one. Yeah, I prefer playing the Atreides in Dune 2000 'cause of your ability to call in an Ornithopter strike. The Harkonnan Death Hand missile was pretty cool, tho...

I don't know about 2000, but Dune II that missile had only one draw-back - unpredictable targeting. I think the by-line was something about the payload decay actually messed with it's 'brain' but what it amounted to was firing the sucker became a game of Russian roulette. You might kill the other guy, yourself, a random sandworm or nobody at all (though only rarely the last)

It's an AoE wep in Dune 2000...and it only hits 'kinda close'. Fortunately, it just blows the heck outta whatever's nearby, so you don't hafta be all that accurate...

Hence the danger if it hit near you, instead... <shudder>

That's why you drop it on the enemy base BEFORE you attack, not WHILE you attack.

It's fairly obscure, yeah. :P But hey, I could talk about "Impossible Mission" and have NO ONE know what I referred to (And you know that Commodore 64 had a "Summer Olympics" game decades before these ones popping up for console systems now?)
Pit Stop is still the best racing game, in my opinion.
...
<looks at above plethora of extremely geek game references> Err... :-/ Pong, anyone?

I'm playing Knights Of The Old Republic (I'm pretty sure that's the name, anyhow) and I managed to get what's his face all mad at me. Now he won't talk to me, and apparently that's really bad 'cause according to my friend who has played it 11 times you're supposed to get him to love you if you want to win. (And apparently it's supposed to be impossible to get him angry at you)

I guess I'm not winning.

What do you do in the Jedi Academy?

Eh, sorry, just as lost there too. I'm currently playing (when I can find time away from my books) Civilization II: Test of Time.
