Civ II is pretty fun, though I hate the barbarians >.<, Civ I was rather odd, and I didn't like it much. Saaaay, Math Blaster anyone? They were pretty fun when I actually had to think to beat it....
(Hey Elys, do we still have that Journeyman game thing?)

Journeyman....thing.....? Do you mean Schizm: Mysterious Journey and/or Mysterious Journey II? Nope, big brother took them to college with him (which stinks, cause I still haven't managed to beat Schizm yet :( ).

So, the first time I played Columns (a match like-with-like game somewhere between Bejeweled and Tetris) I didn't know what it was or I was supposed to be doing (and I think it first I was having a fairly engaging conversation as well). As the thing kept going, and dropping sets of stones faster and faster I went from randomly pressing buttons to panic-pressing buttons rapidly. After I finally died (with like 1.5 million as my total score) I figured out what you're supposed to do in the game.

I haven't broken 10,000 points since.

Aaaagh, nooooo, I hate spinning my players in foosball. Can't control them that way, and they don't have much more force than when I hit them normally. ^o) And speaking of foosball, I wouldn't suggest substituting ping pong balls. We did that once with the game at the church (cause we lost the regular ball) and then had to make up new rules about balls flying out of the field. :ermm:

On the other hand, skittles on an air hockey table work surprisingly well. :D Plus you don't really have to worry about them flying off - plenty more to try to score with.

0_0 That exact thing happened at my church. Except the ping pong balls were busted with huge teenage boys playing to boot - so we didn't have ping pong for a while, either. (And our leader Curt said he wasn't getting new ones for a while to appease the annoyed higher ups. Which really meant, "Don't let any adults see the new pong pong balls for a few months". We really got him in trouble a lot of times, poor guy.. :ermm: ;) )

Man, I miss 7th grade.

You know what doesn't work? ROCKS do NOT work for football even if they ARE the same size. (Yes, I am serious.) Long sleeves do NOT work well for protective gear when rollerblading, cattails do NOT make good rafts for those who can't swim, and a seesaw MAKES a PERFECT brick catapult as long as you can duck while jumping on the other end (which seldom do).

Spoons do NOT make good alternatives for cutting cakes.

Just thought I'd throw that in there. ;)

@Dark: <giggle> And those are just a few of the things we tried...

But one of the things that everyone thinks was dangerous that wasn't: Our playing with the random garter snakes around the yard. They were sweetie pies. :P

Right... So you can see I am highly innocent holding this spoon near you, Nommie.

Eating cake with a spoon is good if the cake is so crumbly that a fork just makes it fall apart faster.... (or if the icing is on the bottom). Though I do agree it would cut rather unevenly....
You got to play with snakes!?! I practically never see any :'(
Oh, and who needs protective gear when rollerblading? (unless you're rollerblading on gravel or something like it....)
