Bookstores and food, the two most essential parts of life. Yup, those I can handle. That, and an Army surplus store or technology store. Aside from that - I'll pass.

Army surplus store?
I think shopping for clothes is my least favorite, there's nothing good there, and I have to try those that actually seem somewhat good i have to try on >.<

Army surplus...since clothes shopping does, at a point, become a necessity, I go there. I STILL haven't worn through the pants I got there. You only have to shop there once every fifteen years! It's great for people who hate clothes-shopping.

I could go look to try to figure out how we got on clothes shopping, but I won't.

A good friend of mine in high school (female) actually bought men's pants, because back then you just had to know your measurements, buy pants that size and you were good to go.

Good for you...the other alternative is having a grandmother who always buys you clothes for Christmas (and pretty nice ones at that), and who asks your mom for the right sizes so that they always fit...

My grandma does that- which is why I have a surplus of skirts hanging unused in my closet...

We also get used clothes from people grandma knows, so I haven't been shopping in a while ^_^ (there was 7 whole boxes of used clothes.... sadly no good pants)

I used to get all of Elys's hand-me-downs, but then I got as tall (or taller) than her, and that didn't work anymore. (we've pretty much stopped growing anyway)

My grandma bought me clothes. But they were FUGLY, and I HAD TO WEAR THEM WITH A SMILE!

I never run out of hand me downs, but they never make it from me to the next sibling, because I'm apparently 'too rough' on them, so the stuff my mom wants to keep for grandkids or the smallest ones I never wore (or wear), because my older sisters were all nice to their clothing. >_> I was the only little girl in my family to look at a kneewound that needed stitches and look at my dad pitifully and cry "I tore my pants! And got blood on them! What am I going to do? Mama's gonna be home soon and she's gonna see 'em! :sob:"

Shadow: Even if all the stuff wasn't out of my personal price range at the stuck up malls, I wouldn't wear ANY of the stuff there. I wear ties. And fedoras. And ponytails with ribbons tied in bows for dressy, and jeans and shirts and tennis shoes for casual, AND THEY SELL NONE OF THAT. They try to sell me these weird boot slipper things for 80$ instead. *eyeroll* It's bad enough I have to go to the men's section for my fashion assemblies, but being dragged through a mall? I'd rather watch veggietales with my little sibs. ;)

Seriously. I don't get jeans anymore, because all the ones that fit me are low riders, and those things are so uncomfortable and immodest and feel unsafe. My pants pants are pretty much 3/4-length pants and track pants (I think that's what they're called). As for shoes...I ended up getting boys sneakers when my last pair wore out. I'm with you on the hair- ponytail for dressy, braid for everyday.

I rarely wear jeans anymore. I just don't find them comfortable. Most of the time I wear my pajama pants around the house, and I don't wear them during winter because they're not as warm as my other pants. I do wear them in summer for hiking or horseback riding, though.
