Lol, Dark. :D I discovered at age 6 if you whipped up a batch of tears fast enough they'd leave you alone. Not.. that I was good at that.. or anything.

No one sulks in my house unless they've got good reason; and you have to state those reasons to Mom or Dad before a sulk is allowed. So it's best to leave them alone till they're nice and normal again if they actually get to the point they're mad, since said person loses all sense of humor, patience, and help-acceptance anyhow.

Sulking is quite frowned upon here. Maybe because you're rather useless to the family as a whole if you're only thinking about yourself. *shrugs* Not that the little kids don't still do it.

Or the big kids sometimes. We sulk when we get overwhelmed cause we're all control freak workaholics, but that's easily taken care of since everyone's more than willing to help if you ask, so we have no good reason.

So in other words, you do it specifically because it is illogical, stupid, and fun?

Can't argue with that!

Or sometimes we can't be helped by other people. Then we push through, but when we're truly stuck waist deep in a mess with a deadline and more to do, we tend to shut off. :P

"Look, being angry ISN'T GOING TO HELP ANYTHING!"
"OH YES IT DOES! IT MAKES ME FEEL BETTER!!"

(Also, we get overwhelmed because accepting help is cheating.)

Nah, I'm pretty sure crying is what got them to feel either bad for your situation or guilty for picking on you.

in my case, i am not allowed to be angry, frustrated, or sad...it only gets me bad reviews and people abandoning me for being alive...and i don't like being annoyiong (unless that was my goal for the moment, which only occurs when i can't get attention for an important matter)

Kari, hon. If they abandon you for being disagreeable.. read your purple quote and hang out with better people. ^_^

There are three things you could be tch tching about immediately Jason, not even mentioning the less obvious ones in the first line alone; and I don't feel like giving you one you aren't referring to. /suspicion.

I'm trying to decide if our "forum family" here has an unsusual concentration of dysfunction, or that their simply more evident because of the medium. <shrug>

But then, the only thing I really fear is normal.
