I think we've come to the conclusion that we've hit this slow spot in life and feel almost bored to post in the key forums...especially since Shadi is on hiatus.

AND LET'S FACE IT; WE RARELY EVEN TALK ABOUT KEY. THIS IS THE KEY FORUMS RIGHT?

...

Okay, so only I've come to this conclusion.

But really.

We've seen better days. =__=''

Sure you've seen worse, too. (This place gets more action in a single day than SC does in a month.) It because no one's fighting - so there's nothing to do. That's why it's quiet. (also, most students are in the midst of midterms or spring break)

And DARN IT DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME IS HERE AND I HAVE TO GET UP AN HOUR EARLIER! CURSE YOU BENJAMIN FRANKLIN!!

When I first came to the forums it was less active than it is now. There are always ups and downs.
Maybe it'll pick up again when Elys and Shadow get back after Easter. Or if someone thinks up some topics to talk about.

I'm not saying it will last forever, we've had these little potholes plenty 'o time before, lol. But maybe we do need some epic topic.

(Serenian Century is SC, right, Rue-chan? I joined that forum, but I rarely go there because they don't really talk so...)

Well, I will use this epic topic to wish you all:

HAPPY NATIONAL PI DAY!!!

Yeah - Pi, not pie - it's 3/14!! :D "National Pi Day - A day celebrated by math geeks across the world on march 14th."

I actually like this one better than National Pie Day - simply because I'm a math geek and yeah, love pi to the point of knowing too many digits for it. :P AND you eat pie on Pi Day, too, so really Pi Day is a double whammy! :D

(Yeh, Nommie; SC = Serenian Century. Don't really talk? Mm. Well, when Muki, Ruina and Me are the only ones posting and we get busy, it dies very easily. Plus it's kinda boring with only 3 people posting every few days between each other.)

If you REALLY want Elly, I'm sure I could start throwing all kinds of debate-inducing/divisive/uber-post inviting statements onto various threads. I have all KINDS of interesting things I could say.

But I'm not sure you'd want that more than the quiet, really.

Yeah, Elly - be careful what you wish for: Because I'd probably respond to all those debate-inducers hook, line, and sinker to the point of asking towr to ban me before I fail school.

It's okay, Kari. As long as you acknowledge the awesomeness of Pi and math in general.

Did you know that all communication between people is, at it's core, manipulation?
I'm manipulating you all RIGHT NOW as Each one of us does Every time we post.

(sorry, couldn't resist)

You'd have to stretch the concept of "manipulation" quite a bit for that to be true.

We could do discussions...if you have topics. Your Christian, ey Darkish? I'd love a good Godly conversation on here! I think there are other Christians somewhere on here...(Or maybe its just my imagination.)

I think most of us on here are Christians, Elly; I think Jason and I also already proved that being "Christian" is no guarantee there's no bloodshed over concepts within the camps as we've had like, 3 word wars. 'Sides, what's the point in a discussion if you all agree? :P
"I think this."
"I agree."
"Wow, that's awesome."
"No, YOU'RE awesome."
"We're BOTH awesome."
"Yes."
<snort> There's nothing to discuss/debate/argue/fight over if you all agree!

(Or maybe there is, and you'll all have to enlighten me on how you hold an interesting conversation that doesn't even nicely ask questions about something you don't agree/have info on or learning of any sort. (How's THAT for open minded? :D ) )

Even if you agree, you might still learn something from a discussion, because you might not have thought about all the same things. Discussion is about exploring a topic, not about settling a point about it. The interesting aspect is to learn more, which you might do even if you agreed with every single word uttered by your discussion partner(s).
Frankly, I usually don't find debates/arguments/fights half as interesting as a good discussion, because when everyone's pushed on the defensive you rarely get anything interesting out of them.

Of course, as far as arguing goes, one needn't let a bit of agreement get in the way. Even if you agree with everything someone says, you can still play Devil's advocate; you don't have to let on you agree.

I tend to mark that on "Exploring a new topic", since there are neither agreements nor disagreements on anything, and it's the greatest fun talking about it and learning so much, so it doesn't get anything but discussion.

Yeah. That's exactly what I mean by discussion. I would rather just have a nice conversation about a difference and learn about it, but people aren't interested in learning from as they are to fight. Which is a shame, because you'll change my mind a lot faster if you prove you can discuss with me instead of just cuss at me. One of the most interesting I ever learned from was from a Satanist; and I'm pretty sure there is pretty much no one I could disagree with more. But I learned a LOT, and even what the difference between the different types of Satanism were. ('Course, I was terrified completely and utterly shitless the whole time, but still, it was interesting.) Same with an atheist friend. I'd rather discuss things with him than argue with my fellow Christians on things I don't agree with. If nothing else I learn better what they're thinking to defend against it. It depends on the person.
