You guys are starting to make me a little nervous - I seem to have stopped the thread again XP

Well, it's what, a one in four chance these days for anyone that's here to be the last to answer in a thread?

Something like that. Sorry Dark- I usually check in time gaps between other things, which means that if a post takes a while to formulate- I'm probably not going to post then. Once I get past round two of the test-dump, I should post more often. :ermm:

Ooh, point.

It's just the last three 'breaks' I was the last post - starting to wonder if I have a weird talent for interrupting conversation. Not that I'd be surprised (one way or the other), it just struck me as interesting.

Maybe you're just the only one not being squashed to death under schoolwork? I think you and towr are the only ones not school-aged.

There we go with more rational thinking. Obviously we just need to get some sure-fire crazy interesting line that's just that right mix of funny, awkward and enticing to make people come out of the woodwork and type more. That is exactly what needs to happen.
...
Uh, towr, :-/ maybe you can come up with the line?

.......
Maybe I shouldn't speak here at this time of night.

Isn't he in California these days? So that would make it only 11:35 in the evening.

To be honest, I have a lot less free time now than when I was still in school or at university. Although, I suppose, when all your professors hand you assignments due in the same week, you can get pretty high peak workloads. And history is probably a lot more essay-intensive than my studies were.

So, how is live in the dorms, anyway? You've been there over a month now, right? Gotten used to it yet? Decent roommates/hallmates/classmates/primates?

*groan* you could say that. My history midterm is going to be writing three page-length essays in one hour (classtime).

Life in the dorms is fun- aside from the fact that the showers are tiny and I've got a pretty lame view from my window (I can see the dorm right behind mine). I actually don't have a roommate currently- kinda fun, cause now I've got privacy and room for my mess to spread out. I've made a number of casual friends from my hallmates, and most everyone gets along. There's a bunch of people that gather in the lobby sunday afternoons and have friendly disagreements about footbal teams (we have a good number of Patriots, Browns, Bills, and Colts fans hanging around with the Steelers fans). I think I've mostly gotten used to living here....I miss Shadow, though. And our kitties.

Heh. My sister-in-law could tell you all about that... She has a bachelor's in English- Creative Writing.
....
Ooh, ooh! Does this mean you has writings? That we could bribe/cajole/threaten/steal out of you for to see and enjoy? Cuz that'd be seriously awesome. Just sayin'

@ Me: I would expect no less. ;-)

@Deepdark: You could always try, but she doesn't even let me see them. It is sad.

@Me: Yeah, if I tried that......failing grade, definitely.

Feel no pressure, Shadow. I fully understand and support you in any sentiment you may have about not disclosing your work!
<pointedly glares at a certain someone>

<cough>

@Lyssa: ? That's pretty much all I call tapping an essay out. Flying by the seat of one's pants and prettily expanding on a topic even when you've no idea what you're going to write next with material you only half-know. Only way to go. XD

I'm not sure how you'd write an essay that displays your understanding of a subject if you don't have such an understanding. It will be glaringly obvious when the facts are wrong, or absent completely; any half-competent teacher or TA should easily spot BS for what it is and grade it accordingly.
