It's always handy to have resources. Or people willing to look for sources :D

This. I know people have lives, but now that I'm back semi-regularly checking the threads, I wanted to talk to people :(

So.... what's everyone been up to lately that's keeping them so busy? (yes, I'm being nosy)

The problem with talking to people is that it has to come from both sides; and when both sides are introverted neither starts the talking :P

Hey, if I were, at least we're talking on the internet rather than person-to-person
Although I suppose that's maybe more a matter of safety than creepiness. (?) On the one hand creepiness is less a matter of distance than one of how difficult it is to keep your mind off the creepy thing, but on the other hand, proximity does make it much harder to keep your mind off it.
If that hypothesis is correct then we can predict that "zombie in person" is creepier than "zombie via videochat" is creepier than "zombie on forum" is creepier than "zombie locked in your mother's basement (as long as that isn't were you're living)".
Now we just need to find some volunteers for a controlled experiment... (Oh, and some zombies.)

And of course we should, for good measure, repeat this with other types of undead, like (non-sparkly*) vampires.

* important safety rule, lest we risk being overrun by hordes of rabid fangirls.

i've been catching up with a dear friend o//o as well as trying to help set up a Star Wars RP

and...roaming other sites for stuff to do/people to talk to...

whatchu been up to, Shadow?

and....how many hands do you have, towr? O_O
how would we determine zombies and to what level of zombification would we measure for our experiment?
do you have any clue what may constitute a good sample size?
what would our operational definition of "creepiness" be?

details! we needs them! this should prove to be a fun experiment :>

Creepiness would be a bit hard to quantify, I suppose...

You'll quickly run into some problems with other undead, I think- how are we going to keep insubstantial undead (ghosts, ghouls, etc.) locked in a basement?
Though I agree with your safety rule- the rabid fangirls are as dangerous than the vampires. :P

o.0 towr, you never cease to amaze (and slightly scare) me...

@Kari- Oooh, RP sounds fun! (and catching up with friends). Me... besides camp last week, not much. My grandparents visited this week, and I picked up my diploma yesterday (I missed graduation because of camp) but other than that, pretty much nothing.

Hmm... I think before we can even begin trying to lock undead in basements we need to find them first. I hate to be the voice of reason, but usually ghosts aren't that easily found, (not to mention ghouls, zombies, vampires, etc.) even if they did exist.
Sounds like a fun experiment though ^-^

(I've been on other forums too much... I just tried to italicize using HTML instead of BBC >.>)

I'm quitting my papers job end of the month (part of why I haven't been around the last bit. For some reason as soon as I gave my two weeks notice I started acting like I already didn't have to get up at 2 every morning so I've been going on three hours a night and trying to make an up-to-date route list for the couple taking over from me (200+ papers wouldn't be Nearly so bad if they weren't from five seperate publishers)).

Also I've been going to rehearsals for a theatre-in-the-round production of Oklahoma - not a 'title' character, but I've got some lines. Also theatre-in-the-round is wild; I can only imagine how it'll be once we have an audience.

Hehe, good luck with that Kari... I've kinda gotten used to it, but BBC is still easier.

o.0 sounds like you've been busy Dark. We're glad you're still here though  (still, get some more sleep, that can't be healthy)

Oooooh, you're in a play? That sounds like it would be awesome!
