Fade stumbled into the city after midnight. She could barely keep her eyes open, and had even more trouble driving the car she stole awhile ago. Of course, she left it on the side of the road, made sure there was a lot of gas in the tank, dipped a rag in gasoline, shoved it into the gas canister, and blew the vehicle up. Burying the man who owned the car took a bit of effort, but she didn't want it to be found easily. The man had eyed her creepily at a gas station, and said something lewd. She tried walking away, but he grabbed her and dragged her behind the gas station, which was a stupid idea. His life ended with many little holes in his chest and other places. Fade enjoyed the kill, smiling slightly as the light left his eyes. But, the smile was wiped away when she remembered the last couple days. She could drive the car because she did get her license before she ran away.

It took the girl some time to find a place to stay. It wasn't easy because she refused to stay at an inn, had very little money, and had blood on her clothes. Plus, she didn't want to invade any random home, with or without people. So, she went into one of the most dangerous places in the city, and waited for someone to try and steal her.

"Hey baby, you wanna have a good time?" A deep voice asked as a rough hand grabbed her arm. "Either way, I am going to give you one..."

He dragged her into an alleyway, and she didn't resist at all. He threw her into the wall and eyed her up on down. He was taken aback by her bloody shirt and the crazy smile forming on her face.

"Whoa! What the hell, girl? What have you been into?" He backed against the other side of the alleyway, fear clear in his eyes, his hands scrambled at his belt, but stopped at the crazy goth girl's next move.

Fade drew two knives and placed them at the man's throat. "Where do you live? And give me your key."

"What the hell? I am not telling you girl." He tried to gain some composure, and also tried to move to grab the girl, but she pressed the knives harder, drawing a bit of blood. "Ok, ok. Here is the key. I live a block up in apartment 2b, the address is 317. Now can I-" His words ended in a gargle, as Fade stepped away from the blood splatter. She wiped her blades on the body and dragged him farther into the garbage of the alleyway.

Five minutes latter she found herself in a messy apartment with clothes, trash, and other things all over the place. She just moved the trash aside and walked inside, locking the door behind her. She spent her first hour searching for anything useful. She found a hidden stash of 5,000 dollars, some bags of drugs, that she did not touch and left there. Surprisingly she also found a neatly kept dresser, separate from another messy one, with nice clean, black girls clothing. They were slightly larger than her, but she didn't care. That actually helped, tight fitting clothing made her more noticeable as a woman, and she would prefer to hide that at most times. "****. I wonder where this guy's girl is. I don't like to kill innocents, that often." Fade grabbed all that would be useful to her, placed most of it in her bag, and went into the bathroom. She closed and locked the door, but not before bringing in a chair to bar it shut, just in case. She threw her bloody clothes in a corner, and got in the shower, she really needed one...

...Awhile later when she starting to put cleaner clothes on, she heard a key in the door. "Hello," a feminine voice called, "Are you there baby?" There was some rustling. "Has someone been through are stuff? Is someone there?"

"Oh ****, here we go..." Fade pulled out two of her blades, carefully moving the chair away from the door, but it fell and made a loud noise.

"I hear you! I am going to kill whoever you are!" The sound of a gun being cocked could barely be heard through the door. Fade jumped in the bathtub at the last second, as bullets flew through the door like paper, causing tiles to shatter and dust to fly. The woman also shot the door knob and burst through the door. It was the last thing she ever did. Two knives stuck out of her throat, both just missing the major arteries.

Fade threw the dying woman backwards to prevent the blood from spilling on her stuff, which was stuffed in a corner of the bathroom. "Stupid whore. You shouldn't have went for the gun." The woman thrashed around on the floor as her blood leaked out, and she struggled for breath. Her lips moved as if she was trying to say something. Fade grabbed another knife and squatted above the woman. "Rest in peace. Goodnight." She stabbed the woman in the heart, to quicken the death and make the pain subside faster. Fade stared in her eyes as the woman died, feeling the life drain away. It always gave her a thrill, but felt weird and slightly wrong at the same time.

She changed her clothes again and piled anything with blood in one spot. She relocked the door, and cleaned herself off again. Fade went to sleep, with a dead woman hidden in the bathtub, locked in the bedroom, and all of her stuff close by. She didn't want to get caught, but didn't mind too much at the same time, and wasn't worried that she would be found.

Fade woke up early in the morning, not yet fully rested. She didn't have time to waste though. She had to destroy the evidence and fast. Quickly, she gathered the body and the bloody clothing all into a pile. Then she doused the pile and a lot of the apartment in alcohol that was just lying around. She pocketed a couple lighters from the dead couple, and lit up the place as she walked out with all of her old and new belongings, minus the clothes in the fire. She threw the key into the flames, and walked out the door, ready to wander this new city and stir up all sorts of mischief just trying to survive, and to find herself. She found herself flipping a butterfly knife around her hand again, just enjoying the relaxing and distracting movements of the knife.

As Fade walked out the door a body landed in front of her lying on the ground unconscious. The body was Teran Reuna though he looked like he had seen much better days... His entire body was blackened by ash like it had been partially burned and caked with blood. He had several thick burned and bleeding lines running along his torso, neck, spine, and shoulders which cut straight through his thick leather armor showing the blackened skin. His hands were covered in blood and his muscles looked limp and worn. A pool of thick blood was forming under him fast. But perhaps the most odd thing about the grusome seen was the fact that man was smiling like a child who just went to the toy store though that just made the rest of him look even worse. He was also still clutching a sword that Fade had never seen before, it was black and had runes lining the blade looking almost like flames.

Had he told her then and there that he had just fought one of the most powerful demons in the astral plane the girl would have laughed, but then looking at his torn form it didn't look so far off...

Fade stepped on Teran, not knowing he was there, but only lightly and stepped back immediately. "Who- Oh my... Teran!" Fade knelt by his side, taking out a couple towels that she just stole. "What in the hell happened? Are you alright? Can you hear me?" She gently shook the bloody man as she cut strips out of the cloth to make rough bandages. She was careful to wipe the wounds down first, but couldn't do much else without water and soap, and she was running out of time. The fire was slowly growing while she was busy bandaging up the worst of the wounds. She tried to be gentle as possible, not wanting to irritate his cuts and burns, but she wasn't perfect.

Fade sat back. "He is way too heavy for me to just drag down the stairs, and I might end up hurting him more anyway." Fade knew how to get him out, but she was afraid of not doing it right, or being seen. But, there was no time to find a different way, her back was really starting to feel the heat. With a quick bit of focusing, Fade tried opening a portal. She hesitated a moment and decided to open it to the astral plane and not somewhere outside. Hopefully that will give her time to open a new portal or for him to wake up. She opened up a portal to the Astral Plane. Fade gathered her things again, and started to drag the heavy man, or at least tried to. "Gah! Why does he have to be so heavy! It's all that metal in his arms! Er...maybe it's because he is HUMONGOUS and I am a tiny little GIRL! Why do men have to be so heavy? Anyways, aren't they supposed to help, I don't know the damsel in distress, not the other way around! I am not going to forgive you for this. You hear me heavy fat man? You need to turn into a cute little puppy or something so I can just pick you up and cart you around in a purse." Fade mumbles and says all of this while she slowly drags Teran through the portal. It is hard for her to keep it open for so long, but she does it, just barely. When they make it to the other side, the building has started to become an inferno, and an explosion erupts from within just as she lets go. Fade collapses beside Teran. "This is ALL your fault! I had everything planned out, then you just had to show up! Well, I will open...a...new portal soon...once I catch my...breath..." Winded, Fade lays down, her eyes slowly closing.

Valen thinks for a moment, then stands up and puts out his hand to help Min up. "Well, the way I see it is you can either do what your brother says....or you can defy him and just leave. So the question here is, do you have the lady balls to defy your own flesh and blood?" He gives her a questioning look.

Min laughs, and pushes his hand aside as she stands up. "No one rules me pretty boy. He won't stop me if I want to leave, he wants to protect me yes, but I have always been the boss of him. He did everything I told him, always wanting to keep me safe and happy. I think I will leave. I would only be a hindrance anyway, he still wants revenge and I don't want to watch any more death." She walks towards the hole in the roof. Turning her head back to Valen. "Are you going to join him on his crusade? Or do you want to follow me as I disappear to find my own peace? It is up to you." She crawls down the ladder and starts to gather her belongings and other supplies for traveling.

Valen follows after Min and watches her pack quietly, and deeply lost in thought. After awhile he speaks up, his tone nervous, "I don't know your brother, nor his crusade, and I don't really feel like helping a crusade. My time here is done, and I would like to travel now, so...it would be an honor to follow you for I have nowhere else to go. I do have one request though. I need some...closure on something that happened many years ago, and that involves going back to where I grew up...the place I thought I'd never see again. Will you be so kind as to come with me while I visit the home I grew up in for ten years of life? I don't think I could handle the memories alone...." His face was dark and depressing, and he seemed to almost be pleading with Min. His eyes were both afraid and deeply saddened by whatever happened to him when he was a child, and he seemed to be nearly falling apart just thinking about it.

Min walked up to him and put her hands on his shoulders. She smiled at him as she replied, "Alright. I will go with you. We will go together then." Min became all excited. She really wanted to go on an adventure, and would prefer to not go alone.

Valen's eyes become cheerful again as he smiles back at Min, "Thank you, now hurry up and finish packing. Then we'll head to my apartment where we can take showers and get some money. I also need to pack...plus, I have a car which should make travel faster." He then promptly picks Min up and turns her around to face her stuff. "Now finish packing," he says, then he takes a seat and watches her, waiting her for her to finish.

Min sniffed as she was turned back to her things. All she had were a couple changes of clothing, some essential supplies including soap and such, and several packs of food and bottles of water. She quickly finished packing her meager supplies and shouldered her pack.

"You ready then?" she asked as she turned around, looking excited, yet nervous at the same time.
