sakura's older brother had a friend who's name was yukito and he was probably either in highschool or college and sakura and lee were both in 3rd or 4th grade at the start of the series i think and the both had crushes on him and eventually sakura confesses to him and he says he can't return sakura's feelings because he is in love with her brother and then her brother also has someone that he likes but he never reveals who it is. one of sakura's classmates ends up getting engaged to her teacher and that is a pretty risky thing to do as an elementary school student and even moreso as an elementary school teacher i imagine tomoyo loves sakura but never directly says it but she's inherited some sort of tragic lesbian ideology from her mom and intends to devote herself to sakura forever without ever being with her i guess. Tomoyo's mom was in love with sakura's mom and might have feelings for sakura. |

the english dub was def censored they removed most of the gay parts but i imagine the original anime was probably pretty watered down too because there was some risky stuff in there |

clow reed combined eastern and western magicks and became the strongest sorcerer to ever exist, and as a result could constantly predict the future with nearly perfect accuracy. The burden that this excess of knowledge placed on him tortured him, and he ended up taking his own life, I believe. His magic was too powerful though, so the best he could do was to kill himself which resulted in the magic splitting into two new reincarnated bodies. Eventually, in these two new forms, he guided sakura and eventually passed his powers onto her, and she surpassed even him at the height of his power. She was so powerful that she was able to "turn off" the omniscience that tortured clow reed. sakura is the most powerful sorcerer who has ever existed |

i really like the theme of "the power of a god but the wisdom of a mortal" and it is used in a few of Satoshi Mizukami's books. |
