Chapter I: The Founding of Alchron 250-200 BC
Tornia was a small kingdom located south of Aldermere. Around 260 BC, they had set out expeditions around their peninsular in search of other lands to settle. Due to the harsh seas to the north, they were forced to go West where they discovered the Norian islands; an archipelago of forests and cliffs, forming an unusual triangle shape. When Noria was first discovered, Alchron, the leader of the expedition, was elected to try and brave the harsh seas of the north, by following a different sea route from Noria instead of Tornia.
Alchron and a small crew prayed to the god of the tides, Tha'el, before setting sail into the harsh oceans. Reports differ depending on whom you ask, but the most believed is that the tides merely parted in two so the boat gently flowed down a current, eventually coming to an island. The island was small, but Alchron declared it as a new land, and declared it Elderia, after the name of his ship, made out of Alder wood. The island, coincidentally, had a lot of Alders growing on it.
The Island flourished as more Tornians came north to live there, and eventually it became a thriving coastal city. The island eventually created its own council, to help guide the people and the island, but Alchron didn't like such a concept. Despite it being Tornian lands, he wanted this as his own kingdom, and eventually revolted against the council. The council, with the will of the people behind them, eventually forced Alchron's forces off the island.
Luckily, Alchron escaped and continued to sail north from the island, without an idea of where it is they would land. Eventually, he ended up finding a large peninsular, which he named after himself, and declared himself king.
Despite getting old, Alchron married as his settlement grew, and had a son which he named Alchron.
