We, the Nobles and Commoners of Merridel, assembled together as the States-General, do hereby legislate the following, be it enacted by the Monarch


Article 1 Establish the Ranks of the Knights of Merridel

1) The Following ranks will be attainable by members of the Knights of Merridel:

2) Additional Ranks may be included by the Monarch upon consultation with the Lord Commander.
3) The Lord Commander shall establish requirements for Knights to advance in rank.
4) The Lord Commander, after completion of missions, can recommend to the Monarch a knight be promoted. It is the Monarch's discretion to elevate a knight's rank.

Article 2 The Lord Commander

1) The Lord Commander shall be appointed by the Monarch upon consultation with Prime Minister.
2) The Lord Commander shall be solely responsible to the Monarch, but will give regular reports to the Small Council that are not considered sensitive.
3) The Lord Commander shall serve for a term that coincides with that of the Prime Minister. They can serve for unlimited terms.
4) They shall have the authority to authorize missions, appoint personnel to require positions, make recommendations for elevation in rank. They may also appoint a deputy to assist with their duties.
