Our M reg AE101 Levin finally failed its first MOT with dim headlights. Our local spanner chap has done what he can, but they're still too dim to pass. He says he can find lamps for an AE100, but even though they look the same in the pictures he's not sure they'll fit. So I have some questions:

Is there a straight forward UK market replacement available?

Could it just be the plastic covers need replacing?

Are those plastic covers even a separate item?

Will these fit?

Car looks like this:

Any help would be very gratefully received.

Thank you!! ;)

I'm Pretty sure they wont fit, as ae101 levins have different headlights to ae101 corollas, which have different ones to ae101 trueno's, which have different ones to ae101 marino's/ceres... But like I said when mine failed a warrant of fitness here in NZ i just used a good cutting compound and a polisher and it got rid of the dullness on the plastic lenses which were the problem. also now i have put in bright white bulbs which are def better than the standard type of bulbs, and are far more visable, just the park lights look more yellow next to them now!
