Here you can find information and resources required for bringing a character back from the dead.
Resurrection Rules
- Here on Lazarus we acknowledge two concepts existing in Warcraft of bringing a deceased back to life from death, "Revival" and "Resurrection". A "Revival" requires an intact body and can only be performed immediately after death just as the soul leaves or is preparing to leave an intact body, a revival is exclusively performed by Fel & Divine (i.e Divine & Nature) Spellcasters. Revivals do not require applications buts leave the subject disorientated and incredibly weak. The Spellcaster will be strained by performing the spell.
- A Resurrection is a far more ambitious task than a Revival and it requires some tangible piece of the host to be successful, whether that be their whole body, limb or an item they have enchanted part of their life force into. It also often requires lengthy preparation and more than one participant attempting to resurrect the deceased. Demons who die retreat to the twisting nether to regain their strength, a Warlock performing a Demon resurrection involves the Warlock ripping open a Portal on Azeroth for the Demon to enter the world.
- characters can be resurrected one month after their death, and both the player of the deceased character and nominated resurrector must state their consent on the application topic.
- A resurrection can only be achieved through Divine (i.e Holy & Nature Magic) and Fel magics. Arcane spellcasters cannot perform a revival or resurrection.
- If a character is resurrected or revived as an undead creature, you will not be required to write an application to resurrect them, this includes any subsequent resurrection.
Application Template
Staff are required to vote on resurrection apps and can either support or rebuke it, a score of +2 or -2 is required after no more than one week for the application to be eligible for a verdict.
- Code: Template

Character: (Name of the Character being subjected to a resurrection) Resurrector(s): (The main character(s) responsible for the resurrection, resurrections are difficult to perform even for the most powerful casters, so sometimes multiple may be required) Preparation Details: (This would include details of the divine or fel ritual and other pertinent information) Motives for Resurrection: (Why is the Resurrector performing the ritual on the Resurrectee? Are they a friend, loved one, national hero, potential ally?) Other Information: (Any other details pertinent to the resurrection?)
