Tailgate laughed, clutching the gun to their chest as they watched Brainstorm huff and get the nanites off. Oh, this was going to be fun.

"So, just send everyone to you? Is that the only way to get the paint off?" They gestured - with the paint gun in their hands - to the one Brainstorm was holding. They were already plotting out a route in their processor - they'd have to wait until closing to get Swerve, since Ten would just confiscate the gun, and the red wouldn't be too noticeable on his plating anyway. Better to wait for Brainstorm to make the blue gun, then. Until then, they knew Rewind was back at his hab, doing...archivist stuff, or whatever. Maybe Chromedome would be there too - catching the both of them by surprise was going to be a riot.

"I promise to only use this for good," Tailgate vowed, visor glinting mischievously.

Brainstorm sighed when he saw the floor all red and dusty beneath him.

"It can be removed with some scrubbing in the washrack too, that'd probably take a lot longer though." Brainstorm had this weird feeling that Tailgate was probably just going to let his victims find out for themselves.

"Go easy on them? And only one bullet at once, if you overdo it its not gonna come off easily." Brainstorm wasn't sure how the paint buildup would even be removed, several hours on a medislab with a buffer at your back, maybe.

"Wha- only one at once?" Tailgate tried very hard to keep the whine our of their voice, and failed quite spectacularly. "What's the point, then? One's not enough!"

Perhaps the image of Swerve covered helm-to-pede in a rainbow of colours wouldn't be a reality, after all. Shoot. They debated hitting Brainstorm with another round, and then decided pettiness probably wasn't the answer, in this particular situation - what if he took the gun away?

"...Alright," they huffed. "One bullet at once. Got it. Are you making more, by the way? Sneaking up on mechs is gonna be fun, but what if we wanna have a real game?"

A sigh of relief drained away a little bit of the irritation he'd previously felt. Only grinning momentarily at the mention of making it into a game.

"I was actually in the process of building another one. It's gonna be a bit until it's done. I can drop you a comm line when it is finished though." Brainstorm was back at the work bench he'd been tinkering at, disregarding the mess of nanites on the floor.

"The bullets are easy to make, and I can make different colors too. I'll just have to be careful with how solid the color is." Too solid and it wouldn't be very breathable for sensors.

"Try not to shoot anybody in the face either?" Brainstorm added as an after thought. As interesting as it'd be to see how the nanites react to spreading on such an uneven indented surface, he could also picture First Aid spending the rest of his day trying to remove the nanites magnetized to the optics and inner mechanics of whatever poor spark Tailgate managed a head shot on. He'd rather not make extra work for the medics if he could help it.

"Try not to shoot anybody in the face either?"

"Right. No faces." Tailgate wasn't planning on aiming up that high - most mechs they were thinking of would just get doused in paint around the waist. They'd have to be careful with the other minibots, though. "Got it!"

They inched towards the door, inclining their helm at Brainstorm as they passed. "Comm me when the rest are done, yeah? And thanks for the, uh, glue thing." They'd have to swing by their hab anyway for their hoverboard for maximum pranking potential; they could touch up the paint on their servos while they were at it. "Bye!"

And with that they were out in the hall, keeping an eye out for potential targets as they raced back to habsuite 14.
