Helloooooo Nurse
Morning came all too fast. Though, unlike the past mornings, this one was different. Aid couldn’t really put his finger on it, what had been so different compared to normal. His optics still remained off, hands tucked gently beneath his chin for personal comfort. If nothing was different why did he feel just so much better than usual?

Well, asides from a minor heaviness in his processor, but that could be a lot of things.

It would take awhile for the medic to recount over the past events. Ordinarily a bot with no experience to this sort of thing would be a total mess, but Ratchet had of course passed down all his little tricks and tips for not having to deal with hangovers. If Aid had learned one thing from the grump-bot it was that. But, gosh, this was the most relaxing recharge he’s had in so long. Had he found his habsuite? Was the berth in there really that much cozier? No.

Optics coming online, First Aid could make out a mass of… blue? Blue? That wasn’t right. What in the medbay was blue? Wait.

Oh no. Oh Primus, what he done!?

Well that was an eye opener, falling stiff First Aid had finally registered that he was comfortably cuddled up against Brainstorm. Brainstorm. Mr ‘I refuse to go to the medbay because it’s creepy’. How on all of Cybertron did he end up here?

Wait…

Oh no…

First Aid was almost afraid to sit up, not wanting to wake the scientist, but it was a little hard to swallow back the oncoming panic attack. What HAD he done and why was Brainstorm here!? He’d have to hope that the other remembered at least something, as First Aid could only recall going to Swerve’s bar but not much else.

Pit.

Brainstorm shifted when he felt rapid panic pulsing in an em field nearby.

Oh, ow. He reflexively reached up to press a calming palm to his forehelm. His other systems racing to boot up, it was disorientating to have motor function while the rest of his systems hazily tried to catch up.

"Aid?" Brainstorm cleared his vox coder, his voice sounded retched to bits. He dropped his helm back against the berth with a sigh.

"What's a matter?" Well, at least he was physically comfortable. His processor was pounding.

Brainstorm sat up a little, his em field lazily rolling over First Aid's. He went for calm, and he tried for content but it was a challenge with the oncoming migraine.

“So-sorry, Brainy…” There was static to his voice, a quick reset of his vocalizer would fix that. Still, he was left feeling uncertain and scared, scared that he had somehow messed everything up. Brainstorm didn’t sound… upset? Perhaps that was a good sign.

“Mhn…” First Aid pushed with his palms to sit up, reluctantly at that, figuring that Brainstorm would want to sit as well. “Brainy, oogh… I don’t really remember much from yesterday… I-I’m sorry…”

Panic soon dissipated, lulling to a calm all thanks to Brainstorm’s comforting field. Had he not felt so rested, he might have pushed Brainstorm back down so he could press his helm beneath the other’s chin. But now was not the time for that, it was time to get up and face a new day, unfortunately.

“S-Sorry if, uh, I dragged you down here…”

"Hey, it's alright." Brainstorm was only mildly surprised to find himself in the medibay. If he hadn't been so comfortable it'd probably bother him more. Despite the desire to just roll over and go back to sleep, he pushed himself into a sitting position.

Last night... he could remember some of it? He thought so, anyway. They'd gotten drinks, and that would explain the migraine. He was pretty sure nothing else had happened.

"S'okay." Brainstorm grimaced at the nausea that curled in his tanks when he was upright. Seeing First Aid shaking and upset had him frowning. Brainstorm settled back against the berth with a long exvent. He couldn't remember the last time he'd slept that well.

"Can't we just recharge some more?" It was a little selfish, Brainstorm knew the day cycle had begun already. It was still pretty early though, and it was bound to be a lazy day of shore leave regardless of whether or not they got up early. Couldn't they indulge a little? Besides, Brainstorm wasn't needed anywhere and if there was a medical emergency they were already in the medibay.

Brainstorm held out his arms, the offer open for First Aid. He wouldn't be too discouraged if First Aid refused, he could always try to get a little more recharge by himself. He knew that the comfortable berth and the engex had probably served to knock him out, but they probably hadn't been the reason he'd slept as well as he had.

Heating up his servos, First Aid let them slip down Brainstorms chest to rub soothingly at his middle. Even sleepy and disorientated, Aid could tell that Brainstorm was getting a little nauseous. He felt relief as the other lowered back down, not only because First Aid would need to fight him to stay in bed but because he had essentially asked First Aid to continue cuddling with him.

Rubbing soothing circles, First Aid used his other arm to support himself at the elbow as he lowered down once more, stopping to nuzzle their face masks together briefly. Once he was satisfied with the affectionate little jolts he'd given off, Aid quickly made way to slump back into place, feeling that comfortable weight between them.

They had all the time in the world to move, now was simply not the time. It was almost a blessing, as far as Aid was concerned.
