"Quite possibly.", said Perceptor airily, amused, "But there's worse things he can complain about. Like commas. Or prepositions. Or danging participle phrases."

The scientist had watched Rodimus wobble and waver, watched him grab the chair to steady himself. The sniper couldn't help the throaty laugh that slipped free before he shifted in his seat, "Would you like some help? Or are you going to try and get through this one on stubbornness alone? You've had quite a bit more than I expected you to be able to handle."

That, and if Rodimus fell and broke his neck the sniper would never hear the end of it from Drift and Magnus.

"I get a kick outta making him complain about my grammar," Rodimus grinned. The grin was lopsided, his optics too bright from the charge in his systems from the homebrew, and his hands still gripped the chair to keep himself upright. "It's kind of a turn on when he lectures me."

He'd probably had way too much to drink. More than Perceptor had expected him to handle? He wasn't even sure at this point that he, himself, thought he was handling the amount he'd drank. He could down Nightmare Fuel better than Trailcutter, but the stuff Perceptor had made was almost toxic, the way his HUD was flashing warnings at him.

Despite that, he gave a slight wave at Perceptor's offer to give him a hand. "I'll be fine. But you might want to follow me with a fire extinguisher. Feel like I might catch fire."

At Rodimus's comment about Magnus's lectures, Perceptor couldn't help the laugh that tripped out of him.

"Rodimus, trust me, that's a dangerous path to go down.", warned Perceptor, trying to reign in his chuckling, "His spark might stop if he finds out about that."

Did that stop Perceptor from logging away that bit of conversation as a sound file in his processor? No.

The sniper rose from his seat gracefully- and wobbled.

He blinked in something like surprise, shooting an annoyed look at the bottle before muttering, "Rude. I'm your creator, have some respect."

Eccentricity passing, he looked to Rodimus, "I daresay I should at least make sure you get back to your hab in one piece. I hear there are other rooms you may wander to, given the chance..."

The grin on Perceptor's face spoke volumes on the amount of teasing he had kept stashed away for the perfect moment. But was that moment right now?

You never know.

"So don't tell him," Rodimus pointed out, as if it was the most obvious solution to keeping Magnus from finding out. It wasn't like Rodimus was going to tell Magnus; he had way too much fun messing with the former enforcer to ever tell him anything. He figured Perceptor didn't have any reason to tell Magnus, either; he might hold onto it as blackmail material, like any number of things from Rodimus' relatively short time with the Wreckers, though. "Not that he'd do anything about it if he knew, anyways."

A snort escaped Rodimus when Perceptor wobbled, then laughed when the other mech reprimanded the bottle. "Percy, it's a bottle of booze. There's no respect for anyone here."

Rodimus let go of the chair to shrug as nonchalantly as he could when he was still wavering himself. "Yeah, well, you know me," he replied. "Still wanna check on Aid first. Or maybe call Lottie and ask her how he is."

"I think the best course of action would be to contact Lottie and get a report on his condition.", said Perceptor wisely, "Just in case."

Perceptor couldn't help but snicker at the sway and waver of Rodimus as the captain (tried) to shrug. The scientist reached out and put a hand against Rodimus's shoulder in the vague worry the mech would just.. topple over onto the floor.

Perceptor prayed it wasn't a case of delayed reaction and hoped Rodimus wouldn't take a step and go immediately facefirst- Because then not only would he be obligated to get his captian back to his own quarters, but he'd have to resist the urge to find a dunce cap of some sorts for photo opportunities...

"Yeah." Rodimus' voice was soft as he agreed with Perceptor. He wanted to go see First Aid, really, but he'd be lucky if he could actually take a few steps. He still hadn't moved, save for letting go of the chair he'd been gripping. Calling Velocity would probably be better, not just because he wasn't sure he could make it out of Perceptor's quarters, but he doubted Velocity would want him pestering First Aid while he was plastered. "Yeah, probably a good idea."

With Perceptor's hand on his shoulder, Rodimus felt a little less like he was going to fall over, felt a little more grounded than he might have been on his own. Taking a moment, with one hand coming up to his helm, Rodimus tried to get his bearings so maybe he could actually lift his foot and take a step. Once he was half-convinced he could move, he pulled away from Perceptor's touch and headed for the door.

He got all of three steps forward before his body betrayed him and he tripped over his own feet, crashing to the floor without an ounce of grace, dignity, or pride. A groan escaped him from where he ended up sprawled out on Perceptor's floor. "Don't tell anyone I did that."

Perceptor watched the fall with raised eyebrows.

As Rodimus sprawled on his floor with the resigned plea for secrecy, the impossible happened. Perceptor snorted, wheezed through his vents... and burst out laughing. A few moments of mirth, and he was mostly under control, wlaking to Rodimus's sprawled form and reaching down to help him back to his pedes.

"A-Are you-", a snicker, "Are you alright? I'd give you a ten for form but you seemed to have flubbed the landing a bit there, Roddy."

For what it was worth, he was trying very hard not to cackle again.

"Yeah, yeah, laugh it up, Percy," Rodimus groaned from his place on the floor. He propped himself half-up, forearms against the floor and back arched, a bit of dopey grin on his face because Perceptor was laughing. That was a rarity of its own and Rodimus could probably count on one hand how many had actually heard the scientist-slash-sniper laugh, so he didn't even care that the laughter was at his expense. In fact, it was such a rarity that he found himself recording a bit of it, just to prove to himself later it wasn't a drunk hallucination.

"I'm fine," he replied, staying where he was. He pushed himself to his side, one hand at his jaw to prop himself, the other splaying over his chestplate in a dramatic gesture. "It's my ego that's shattered. It may never fully recover."

"I'm certain First Aid will kiss it better; you'll make a full recovery in no time.", snorted Perceptor with a roll of his optic. He leaned a little farther, hooking an arm under Rodimus's legs carefully- his other supported the mech's back and the sniper lifted him with a huff, carrying the captain like a princess.

"But for now, let's make sure you make it to your hab without falling down a disposal chute or some such nonsense."

With that said, Perceptor shifted Rodimus carefully in his arms before taking his smooth steps to the door and nudging the interior keypad with an elbow and stepping out into the silent hallway.

"He'll be kissing more than just my ego." If Rodimus had eyebrows like Rung, he would've bounced them playfully. Even in his drunken state, part of him was aware that he and First Aid had decided to keep the going-ons between them secret, not wanting the crew to find out and cause any sort of rumors. However, this was Perceptor he was talking to and he knew he could trust him not to say anything.

He would have commented further, but then Perceptor was picking him up and Rodimus slung his arms over the sniper's shoulders. "I can totally walk, y'know," he told Perceptor. He wrinkled his nose at him, but made no move to try to hoist himself out of the other mech's arms. Instead, after a brief moment, he tightened his grip a bit and leaned into Perceptor's hold. "Won't Drift get jealous, you carrying me like this? I mean, handsome hero carrying off the hot prince? So romantic, Percy."

Perceptor shook his helm as Rodimus spoke, heavy steps taking them down the hallway carefully as he kept an eye out for anyone passing by- well, until Rodimus got sly.

"J-Jealous?", said Perceptor, almost too quickly, "Aha, wh-why would you say something so foolish Rodimus, Drift would have no need to be j-jealous of this scenario. I am merely assisting a comrade back to his hab after he went facefirst into my floor."

The sniper's optic darted about, praying no one chose then to pop out in curiousity at the hushed voices that suddenly seemed far too loud.

"Don't b-be ridiculous."

Perceptor internally cursed his stammer, a trait he had been able to push to the back of his processor... until he got nervous, that is.

Oh, Rodimus was going to have a bit of drunken fun now. He grinned at the sound of Perceptor's voice stuttering, something that he never knew even happened. It was rare that he got to tease Perceptor to begin with, since the other mech was so often hiding away in the lab or his quarters, and the few times they'd been in the same place at the same time were too often battle scenes or during emergencies where even Rodimus knew better than to tease.

But right now, oh, this was too good an opportunity to pass up. Shifting slightly in Perceptor's hold, Rodimus brought one hand to drag a finger teasingly over Perceptor's shoulder-mounted scope as he leaned in, face close to the other mech's, optics half-shuttered. "Maybe jealous isn't the right word," he all but purred. "I'm just saying, he might get ideas."

Perceptor shivered at the touch to the shoulderscope- halfway between oddly soothing and hellaciously ticklish, he prayed Rodimus at least left the lens alone.

He raised an eyebrow at Rodimus's behavior, an amused grin on his face.

"...Rodimus, if you are suggesting we have you as a third, you really should talk to Drift about it first; and when sober.", he said nonchalantly, shifting Rodimus in his grip to quickly pat the top of the Captain's helm before going back to the princess carry. He turned a corner, eyeing the security camera as it beeped softly before scanning the hallway before him for any signs of other crewmates.

"A-And please don't fiddle with my shoulder scope."

Hand still at Perceptor's scope, fingers trailing down the shaft of it, Rodimus matched Perceptor's raised brow with his own. That hadn't quite been the reaction he'd expected. He'd known about Drift and Perceptor for a while, since there was no way for Drift to be Rodimus' best friend without the fiery mech figuring out how to read him and it wasn't hard for Rodimus to work out that Drift had feelings for Perceptor. He'd never really managed to get any confirmation about the two of them, though, since Drift seemed determined to keep Rodimus guessing. Having Perceptor all but confirm it had another grin crossing his lips.

"I knew it!" he proclaimed after tilting his head away from Perceptor's hand. "You and Drift are totally fragging! Primus, I was just teasing, but oh man, I called it!" He gave a triumphant laugh and let his head fall to Perceptor's shoulder. "I'm too drunk to drink to this."

Letting his hand continue to move at Perceptor's scope, just needing the action of moving - his hands always itched to move, never quite holding still - Rodimus did the exact opposite as the scientist requested. He'd always been one to do what he was told not to. He dropped his fingers from the shaft of the scope to the mount, running over the lines and angles of the mount. "I don't fiddle, Percy."

Perceptor tripped and stumbled over his words, trying to refute the truth but to no avail. He finally huffed, faceplates warm and optics looking anyway but the pleased lump of Captain he was carrying. The touches to the scope made it twitch, and he shifted his shoulders to chase away the tickle... Unil the touches moved down.

A rumble of a tank engine as Perceptor suddenly stopped moving and stood far too straight, the soft touches at the mount of the scope pinging his sensornet like a pleasant shock.

"Rodimusdon'ttouchthat.", he hissed, his grip on the Captain tightening in tiny increments, "Ahem, it's, ah, uhm, a bit uhm... Sensitive."

He cleared his throat, briefly narrowing his optic at Rodimus as he continued to walk.
