Doing all the heavy lifting.....
|
Well, let's be fair to the writers. We're forgetting it's the scabs that came up with this story for the boys. So we can't look at JP's work and see what they'd do here. Let's face it, if JP was still head writing, Luke and Noah wouldn't even have a story. She only wrote for Katie, Carly, Meg and Gwen. That's it. The rest of the cast got scraps. So clealy the new writers are actually interested in writing for the boys, a change within itself. I admit I'm surprised by this casting annoucement. It's not quite what I was expecting. That in itself makes me happy. |

Oh, the power! So I dropped the casting note about Ameera in a few places I usually post... along with my crazy speculation about Ameera using drugs and a Noah wig to seduce Luke and ultimately bear Holden and Lily's first grandchild. Suddenly people were treating as a spoiler and saying this was going to happen and were freaking out (because -ahem- I'm usually right about these things)! I had to step in and tell them that I was only JOKING. Because the show wouldn't really do that, would they? Would they? |

They just might, and then Ameera will beat her half brother to death with a gnome while she's in the process of giving birth. :-) |

I truly don't believe that the show is going to go anywhere near Luke and/or Noah being converted. It would go against over 2 years of storytelling. Plus, the new head writer is gay, and CG has been very dedicated to telling this story and doing it right (yes, I know many believe that it's been terribly handled, but bear with me). If anything, this story could be a way of having Luke and Noah battle something together, give Noah some much needed family, make the Luke/Noah bond even stronger.... and then we can bring on another fella to tear them apart. I know it's hard to think, but this casting note might actually be good news.

I also would like to give CG more credit than he's been given. For the past two years-at least with Luke's story-the writers have been true. I don't believe (and I'm more of a optimist, I know) that CG and his writers would wreck nearly 3 years worth of story telling and slap not only "ordinary" ATWT''s audience in the face but the gay community as well. Can you hear the the outrage from Afterelton, not to mention soap mags etc.? I'm a believer that CG and his writers will continue to handle the Nuke sl with care as they have thus far and provide strong scenes and dialog. I'm really curious as the weeks progress to see how this goes. More airtime is what is needed for Nuke so let the party begin

ITA. With the exception of airtime, I have always been pretty optimist as far as the Nuke s/l is concerned. It may move at a snails pace, but it has moved forward. I'm looking forward to the next few weeks and I truly believe, regardless of what involvement Ameera has with Nuke, they are still our endgame.

Yes, I also believe that Luke and Noah are also the endgame. The fact that they brought in a girl tells me that. |

Yeah, they are endgame but for me I still don't know why I'm supposed to be rooting for them other than they are a gay couple. I support minorities but give me some reason. I wanted an all male triangle because I wanted to see Noah fight for Luke and Luke learn the difference between Lust and Love. Because if I go back to the time he wrote Invisible Girl, He was writing about Noah but he was writing about these deep feelings he had for Noah and I was like huh?! When did this happen. |

You don't think Luke and Noah feel more for each other than lust at this point? I mean, they haven't even gotten to the lust part yet. |

Yeah, I think Luke feels more than lust for Noah. But I remember being that age and in love and when I was tempted it made everything confusing. I might not be explaining this right. Oh well LOL!

i agree with you... I think it stuped that wirter didn't play it out.. they need to build up Noah, flush him out ect. right now after the NYEve ep Noah seem more of an Arm candy. he need to be able to stand alone with out Luke. I think it funny that alot of people use arm candy that i said a while ago. |
