Doing all the heavy lifting.....
Yes, I know Luke and Noah were not on..... they weren't even mentioned, yet the show was pretty entertaining.

I loved the Holden and Lily stuff, him being so protective and sweet and loving. Protective!Holden is the best. But please, Lil, get your act together. Now as much as I love Holden, hiding that needle in a cabinet that probably little Ethan can get into? I don't get it. You live on a huge farm with lots of places to hide it. Makes. no. sense.

Loved the final scene with Bonnie (and the show is having characters just show up any old time during any segment..... another sign of different writers). They both knew it was over before it was begun. I loved her 'see ya around'. Why would she show up there anyway?

The scenes with Babs were great. Her learning the details of her cancer were very well done and real and that's thanks to the actress of course. And I felt for her learning about Dusty. She really did love him and they were close so it's natural that she would mourn him. It's also a reminder of how much Babs has lost on the past 2 years. And soon she'll only have Paul. Ugh.

Speaking of Paul. I wasn't a fan of Paul and Em. I hated them in fact. Them going over their twisted history wasn't entertaining and only reminded why I did hate the couple so much.

Brad and Katie? Nuff said. The only interesting note was that Brad rolled down the same hill that Luke did, even though Brad and Katie are supposed to be in another state.

Tommorow? Sam and Carly, Ro and Meg and more of Brad and Katie? I can miss that for sure.

Longtime

Good show today, I liked it because we saw a lot of people on during the same day.

Holden should have gone to the barn and hidden the needle in a haystack, nobody would ever think to look there.

haha

I also noticed that there were a lot of people on today.... actually the show is using a lot more of the cast lately and there's much more going on. Yet, it doesn't seem stuffed. For example, in the past you'd have three stories and the show would bounce back and forth between those three, that's it. They would also have a lot of repetitiveness (especially if it was any of the quads). Lately though you have a lot more stories/characters on any given day with a lot more ground being covered, but it doesn't seem stuffed. On Friday's show we had the murder mystery, Luke and Noah and Brad and Katie. Today we had the murder mystery (with lots of characters moving in and out of that story), Babs' story and Brad and Katie. Plus, they tossed Paul, Jack and Bonnie in and in Jack and Paul's instances, they were breaking out of their story bubbles to talk to other folks for a change. In the past, we'd never have that much going on with all those characters moving around and interacting. Another thing I'm seeing are longer scenes (though there is still too many short cuts and jumping around) but it's not as bad as it used to be. I'm seeing little changes and I like what I'm seeing and I'm looking forward to what's to come, especially with new stories for little used characters. This new team actually seems interested in writing for EVERYBODY, not a chosen few. And that is a good thing.

I second everything you said, and I really believe all this can only help ATWT by getting audience members to watch more often. By doing certain stories on certain days, and sticking to the day to day spoilers, everyone knows when to watch to see "their people" - and they also know when they don't need to watch. This is a much more sensible way to do it.

Well, tomorrow is a prime example. The day to day spoilers indicated there's nothing on the murder mystery, but I found out that in fact, there is story movement on that plot even though they've already got Brad and Katie, Carly/Sam/Jack/ and Meg/Paul/Ro/Craig going on. Most days that would be enough and I wouldn't have watched because I knew that's all I'd see. Now I'm going to because I don't want to miss the murder mystery plot stuff.
