Bubbles and I (sorry, bubbles, don't mean to speak for you) are a minority on this board and the VH.net board, but I think in the more general sense, we hold the majority opinion. The fact that they're looking to make Noah more likable to the general audience is an indication of their own failure to do so the first time around. So I would think that Goutman and the scab writers will know that they have to tread carefully, and in my opinion the worst thing they could do for Noah is all of a sudden make him out to be a saint and make Luke (and, to a lesser extent, Henry) out to be the bad guy(s). That would only make me resent Noah's character even more. The way that they can fix it, in my opinion, is to make both Luke and Noah's positions understandable and sympathetic--in other words, give Luke a reason to be suspicious while at the same time giving Noah a reason for his suspicious behavior. It won't make me like Noah any more if Luke treats him like crap. |

I think they'll tread lightly and be careful. As we learned today, Goutman seems to be doing the writing at the show now. Luke and Noah was his idea..... and he and the show seemed fixed on making this pairing work. So I think they'll keep that in mind when crafting this story. And I agree the show didn't do a good enough job with Noah from the start. There are too many holes in his life and in his personality that need to be filled. Clearly this story is designed to do just that. |

Violette, go ahead and speak for me. We are on the same page. I completely agree. Them making Luke the "bad guy" would not make me root for Noah at all either. They have to make them both sympathetic. The audience needs to know up front what Noah is hiding. It's fine if Luke doesn't but we need to know and it better be damn good. |

That's true. If he's being manipulated, he may not know what's going on either. But..... I think he might be hiding something, but for what he feels is Luke's own good. That's what I think. After all, Luke said to Noah "There's so much I don't know about you". I really think that episode set up a lot of this story: Henry being involved, Noah's secret past, them facing some serious problems. I think that show set things up for this because since then they've been in the Holden/Lily mess. |

Luke/Noah stalker

something i was thinking about is Amaam is Noah's fatrunal twin. yes i know i just trying to cut out the DD. Cheri had them in a different country. an atttack happens but she had to take one of the babys and it was Noah. Ama was addoped by a Irqie Couple. she comes to Ameraic to find her brother. she does not know that Noah is her Brother, but she feels a connation. becuase she has a arange Marriage she thought of Noah. then she learns that Noah is her brother. then Luke has to Marry her but her guy that she should be marring does not like it and is after the boys and her!!

I don't understand why Henry is getting involved in this. He has no ties to Luke, other than his misgivings about Noah b/c of Maddie, which still doesn't give him much cred to butt into their lives, especially since he has no real idea what's been going on between them. I really feel sorry for Trent w/ all these shitty, prop up the other character s/l he gets. I, quite frankly, and looking forward to Noah being fleshed out more. I'm really kind of tired of the Luke centric s/l that JP has been giving us. I think there's enough of an established background with Noah's father that a story centering on what's going on around him could be interesting, if it's done right. |

On the topic of whether it is fair or justified for Luke to be suspicious of Noah having feelings for Ameera, if Luke managed to be suspicious of Holden committing murder, for goodness sake, poor Noah doesn't stand a chance. Luke WORSHIPS Holden. Interesting. |

I think today it was just partly Luke worried and thinking out loud, and partly the show having Noah be genuine and helpful to Luke for his characters's sake. Having Noah pretty much say in hindsight, he should have figured his dad out, was quite the statement too that they're trying to let the audience come to realize Noah's on the Snyder track. And this makes me think, later on when Luke for whatever reason wrongly doubts Noah, if the rest of the Snyders will stick up for Noah to Luke. That would be a good way to try to raise up Noah's good nature to the viewers, maybe. |

Well, Lily had the same doubts as well. Frankly, I think it's only natural for your mind to wander when you have time to think about it, especially under the circumstances. I mean there is reason to question things, I think. But Luke quickly came to realize he was wrong. |

This all sounds soooooooo good. The only thing I'm not happy about is the Henry factor? I've always loved Henry, but him putting doubts in Luke's head isn't going to sit well with me. I don't understand how Luke and Noah's relationship is any of his business? Luke doesn't need any more "unsolicited" advise. I'm happy to hear about an increase in PDA's, but I'm curious as to when our guys will finally have sex? I understand the writers wanting to take it slow with couples like Will & Gwen and Casey & Maddie, but I think it's completely different when you're talking about two 18 year old guys. They are still 18, aren't they? Thanks for the info Anthony, I'm looking so forward to their new "frontburner" storyline. |
