Well Overall I thought the show was ok. Managed to be entertained nearly the entire time. It was great to see people mentioning what's been going on in other people's lives. No more isolated characters. There wasn't an Luke and Noah scenes, but Luke had a couple scenes with Lucinda. I thought they were good, but honesty I don't want to say they were " completely pointless", but they kind of felt out of place and unnecessary, especially since Luke didn't show up at all later on in the show. I guess it just seemed like the show threw those scenes in there just to say Luke was on screen this week and that he finally had a scene with his grandma Lucinda. |

Just a tiny rant, the audio person in post-production needs to mix the music down a tad more. |

Another observation about today's show, no Jake in the actors' credits, we will see the both of them next week most likely. |

Today sounds really good. I don't think Luke and Noah have to be attached at the hip so it's nice for Luke to be on. The Paul/Lucinda scenes sound really great. |

I don't think they need to be attached at the hip either. But now they need to do the same to Noah and start having some scenes and days that he is on without Luke. |

That would be a smart move, more of both....and even some little things, like we always see Luke sitting at the farm when Noah walks in - it would help make Noah seem more in place to change it around, have Noah at the farm by himself and Luke the one to make the entrance....little things can go a long way. |

I don't think that will ever happen. And I don't think it should. Van is the contracted actor and the story will always been more seen through Luke's eyes. Luke is related to half the town. He should be in scenes with others. Noah doesn't really know anyone. When Ameera shows up , I bet he has scenes with her alone but Luke will still be on that day with scenes with who I hope Casey or something. I understand people love Noah but let's be realistic. |

I think I am being realistic. I totally get because Van is on contract the story is going to be told more through his eyes and he'll probably get more scenes than Jake and that's fine for now, but if Noah is to ever be a long term character, he's going to have to get some more "equal treatment". I'm not asking that for every show Van appears in with Jake, that Jake should get equal. But Noah needs to be shown interacting with other people without Luke sometime. If the couple is to ever reach "super couple" status like many would like, they to start treating both haves more equally or else all it's ever going to be seen as is "Luke and his arm candy". |

You have a point. But I don't think he will ever be treated equally. But who would he be interacting with? Until Jake gets a contract it's not gonna happen. I mean have you noticed lately that Luke/Van is getting more scenes with others. Noah/Jake shows up later or something. I don't mind Noah in scenes with others but I don't think Jake should appear on episodes without Van. |

Obviously Van is a great actor, has been on the much longer than Jake and has a contract. I'm not denying that Van deserves scnes and shows with Jake and is understand more of the storyline is from Luke's point of view. And I'm fine with Luke and Noah not being completely equal for a while, if ever. I'm not asking for that. I'm saying more equal. I don't think there is anything wrong for Noah to show up in an episode without Luke. There are plenty of people Noah could interact with, Lily, Holden, Emma, Lucinda, Aaron, Allison, Will, Gwen, Dallas. All people he has met before (granted some he hasn't interacted with in forever, so a scene may be pretty random). Correct me if i am wrong, but wasn't it back in November when everyone blamed the lack of airtime on the play, that you said you would have liked them to use that opportunity to develop Noah more and could show him without Luke? He was recurring then I believe. |

Do I sense some snark, I love it! Pat, I do think they missed an opportunity to flesh out Noah during Van's play days. I would have been ok with him on without Luke because Van was unavailable. But Now that Van's available I don't think it will happen nor do I think it should. I'm sure Jake will have scenes with Tala without Van. I mean he's had many scenes without Luke. For the show as a whole I think the fact they are having characters interact with friends and family more is good and that's why we got that Luke/Lucinda scene today. |

Well I have to admit, I don't follow your argument here at all and not really sure what to make of it. Saying it's fine that Jake can be in an episode without Van only if Van is unavailable, but if Van is available then it's not ok. I don't quite jive with that. I agree that Jake will probably have some scenes with Tala without Van. I'm also happy that overall the show is having characters interact with more family and friends. |

Well, It's hard to explain. I just think it would be odd to give Jake more screen time than Van if Van is available. If they really wanted to flesh Noah out they could have but they didn't for some reason. I won't be mad if Jake appears on a eppy without Van. But I just don't see the point. That's all. |

Um, I never said that Jake should get more airtime than Van. Not sure were you got that idea from. I'm not advocating for quotas in which if Van appears in 5 episodes one month, than Jake must too or if Van has 321/2 hours worth of scenes one month than Jake must as well. I never said that or expect that. Well, I certainly didn't see much of a reason for a Luke and Lucinda scene today. Sure it was nice to see Luke interact with his family and long overdue, but it didn't advance either of their stories all that much. Obviously if Noah appeared in an episode without Luke at all, it would have to make sense. I'm not saying the show should just throw them in willy nilly or have it happen that often (probably rarely at this point), but I think there could be scenarios in which such an episode wouldn't have any less of a point than what the Luke and Lucinda scenes today did. |
