Well, I think while I loved this discussion. I don't see it going anywhere. I've tried to see your point of view Bubbles and at times I have come close, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to continue to disagree. Perhaps we should all agree to disagree?

and they will be on more. I like that they showed Luke today with his family. It's not all about Noah with him. He has other stuff going on too.
they mentioned Noah today , he was in class. They didn't just forgot about him.
I think Noah does need to interact with others but I still don't think Noah needs to be on days without Luke. Scenes ...yes, Days...NO
What's the difference? Especially seeing as how a scene can sometimes take all day. That sorta doesn't make sense to me.
the difference is i think of Noah as an extension of Luke. And the writing supports that. It would seem odd to me to have Noah on for some random scenes without Luke in that eppy. I don't mind how they have done it in the past and had Noah have scenes with others but he still had scenes with Luke that day. It just flowed better that way for me. Like I've said for the 100th time it makes more sense that Luke will be in scenes with many others because he's part of a core family and he's related or friends with everyone in town. I found it refreshing that Luke was included in today's eppy. He should have been. Pat, you say the Lucinda/Luke scenes was pointless, well, I love it when shows have characters just talking about whats going on in their lives. It presents them as realistic to me. When Noah gets some family and friends then fine, he can have those type of scenes but I don't see the point right now. the difference is i think of Noah as an extension of Luke. And the writing supports that. It would seem odd to me to have Noah on for some random scenes without Luke in that eppy.
When Noah gets some family and friends then fine, he can have those type of scenes but I don't see the point right now.Doesn't that sound kind of contradictory? You don't want him on by himself but yet you're saying when they build a family around him then that's okay. I don't get it. How is he going to get those things built around him if he's always an appendage of Luke? And how will you ever see him as something other than an extension of Luke if he's not given the scenes/days/s/l to do so?
How is that contradictory? I said many times there is no reason for him to be on with many others right now and obviously the show agrees with me. When his family shows up , then he will have a reason to be on. That's when they can flesh him out. He will have someone else to talk to , so I can get inside his head.
I think JP agreed with you but obviously not CG. I guess I'm just confused b/c you sound like you're saying "I don't want him on w/out Luke b/c I don't see the point" but then you're saying "He can be on when he gets a family." That's confusing to me but....whatev.
I'm sure it is confusing to you. It's hard to explain. I don't watch for Noah/Luke. I watch the whole show and I still see no reason right now for Noah to be on with others because he doesn't have any friends or family.
When they start giving him some friends and family then we can talk.
I still don't think recurring characters that aren't fleshed out shoudl get more airtime. Maybe it's because there are so many others on the show that I feel should be written for.
I guess we shall see.
I really don't care. I got my Luke scenes and NO Noah for you all

I am glad that I no longer have to when seeing Sophie/Cole. And that's total proof that actors/characters can slowly build the
b/c I don't mind Sophie so much now and that's b/c of her character interaction and s/l.
I also think it's that you're so about getting your Luke but
about those of us who'd like to see Noah. You should
when everyone gets what they want! I look forward to the day when I don't have to that the boys aren't on enough b/c, quite frankly, a lot of the characters on the show are
right now.
So, ! We'll just have to see what happens when the settles.

I don't necessarily disagree with you , you make some good points on some thing and you might have changed my mind on things but I feel like being a bitch so GO LUKE for having some scenes this week.

I kind of see where bubbles is coming from, and I freely admit that it's a little contradictory. I have zero interest in them fleshing out the character of Noah more than they have, but I probably would like the character more if they did. I just can't bring myself to care about a character that's been little more than a cardboard cutout for over half a year now. However, I see the paradox in my own lack of desire to see them flesh out a character that I would like more if he were fleshed out.

But how do they flesh out Noah? Does him interacting with just others randomly flesh him out?

I think they made a mistake when they failed to make Noah seem very deep. We know, from context, that there's probably a lot going on with him, but I don't get the impression from the writing. If I did, I would want more of his story. Unlike most people, though, I'm perfectly content with Noah being "Luke's boyfriend" and little else. Because there's a lot that "Luke's boyfriend" can add to a story about Luke. If I saw Luke in a supporting role in Noah's story I wouldn't like it.

And there's nothing wrong with Luke being in a supporting role. I don't mind him being a supporting role in Lily and Holden't current story (although I don't really like their current story). But I wouldn't want him as a supporting character in, say, Chris Hughes's story, or Bonnie's, even though I like Bonnie. And even though it would make sense to be supporting in Noah's story (obviously, if Noah had a story Luke would be in it), I don't have any interest in seeing it onscreen. That's why when Ameera comes to town, I'm hoping that despite her "deeper connection" with Noah, Luke is actually the one they focus on, or at least the two of them equally.

Exactly! How can Noah truly be Luke's boyfriend if they *both* don't support each other? And that requires a s/l that has Luke supporting Noah in something...like Ameera or whatever her name is.

But Luke did support Noah when Noah was having a hard time coming out. So I really don't understand what more needs to be done to show support.

Of course Luke should support Noah. What I meant was, I don't want Luke to be a supporting character in a Noah storyline; that is, I don't want the story to focus on Noah and have Luke as simply a background character, like he is right now in Lily and Holden's story.

that the way i want it.. both supporting each other.. both are equal to each other.. i just don't want Noah to be arm candy to Luke or Luke being arm candy to Noah.
right now Noah seems like the arm candy.. he needs to get out of that box.
