I'm looking forward to the fantasy show. I do hope that the boys have a smidgen more screen time than they did on the Christmas fantasy episode. And it would be nice to get a happy ending, as well.
I do think they'll get more screen time simply because they won't be fighting with the entire cast for airtime and the show is building to the big storyline that starts the week after. As for a happy ending, I dunno. I love the premise of Noah returning home from the war (I assume it's the war) to Luke. I just love it. Some of the other vignettes don't have happy endings (Meg gets killed in one.... though that is happy to some).
 That made me laugh so hard. Probably made my day.

I always thought of Noah as someone who was never allowed to be a real kid, growing up without getting to be around other kids and do kid stuff, and that's why he is so into the board games and the sisters and the going to look at the new foal, and the baking cookies and the cutting the Hubbard Squash - my take is that this is the first time in his life he's ever gotten to be a kid, and know what it felt like, so of course he's gonna get into that and it's gonna mean a lot to him to do these things, and the people who are giving him the chance to do them will mean the world to him forever.

Exactly! I'm not even a huge Noah fan but I do feel like I *know* his character.

You know what, you're right. When you look at it that way, Noah does get into doing all the things with the girls that he never did as kid himself. They've established that. It's part of his character. So, I guess his doing this isn't completely out of character for who he is. He is an adult who's missed out on a lot of his childhood and this is his last chance to experience these things. I like it.

Oh, LT, you made me tear up with this. I think this is absolutely where Noah is at right now. In addition to being a sad reflection of his oppressive childhood, it is an interesting metaphor for the coming out experience as well. The sexual development of gay people very often happens later in life than for straight kids, resulting in a "second adolescence" that they didn't get to experience when they were kids. I think Noah's going through that, too.
Oh, Noah. I really do hope they flesh out his character more - there's a lot to explore here.

See this is interesting to me. So Noah doing the whole making a card for his boyfriend is something we have done when we had our crushes when we were kids and we know Noah never would have given this to the boy he probably had a crush on in school or whatever.
I'm ok with Noah doing this.
But like you he needs to say ILY. If Luke let's him off the hook again without saying it, Noah will be on my shit list again. I'm sorry but I think it's time.

Yeah, he should, and I think depicting Noah as both a child in some ways and an adult in others could make for a very interesting character, unlike any other.

So, you don't believe that Noah shouldn't have to say it because he's shown Luke he loves him in a hundred different ways? See, I think he should tell him as well, but I know others believe differently.
And anyway, I don't think they'll have sex until Noah says it and since I think they'll have sex before Ameera shows up I think that he'll say it.

It's great and all that he's shown Luke but yeah he needs to say it. My husband is like Noah (minus the gay part-I hope LOL) but anyway He has a hard time expressing himself. But he knows that while I appreciate the things he does out of love I like to hear it too so he says it and I know he means it.
If noah still doesn't say it by the time Ameera shows up, I'm going to be wishing Ameera has a twin that comes and sweeps Luke off his feet. All I hear is about Poor Noah look at how he was raised and he needs this and that but Luke *needs* Noah to say these words. It would mean a lot to him.

Well, I don't know if I'd want Luke to be stolen away from another guy, but I do think it's time Noah was able to tell Luke that he loves him. I think he will. Maybe when he gives Luke that card. I can see Noah saying that he wanted to do so much more and give Luke so much more, but it didn't work out. So the only thing he can do is give him that handmade card... and tell him that he loves him. I think Luke (and the audience) will melt into puddles if Noah does that.

Well I have to agree with Bubbles here. I am a huge Noah fan and while Noah has shown Luke he loves him in many ways, I think it's time for him to say it out loud to Luke. If he doesn't, well he won't exactly be on my shit list, but he'll certainly be knocked down a peg or two. However, I think he'll say it.

And, there shouldn't be anything left unsettled in this phase of their story before Ameera shows up, Luke and Noah should be 100 percent solid and together and on the same level before Ameera and whatever angst she brings begins. Luke and Noah have the absolute most to lose before the new storyline starts.

I don't know. Sure making the card and cookies my sound a little corny, but it's something that I could see the adorkable Noah doing. Something homemade and from the heart. And we already know that he likes to give cards
And to be honest, Luke is just as adorkable, so I could see him being really touched by a homemade effort.
As for the What If scenario, I think that sounds kinda cool. Noah being in the military, like his dad wanted, yet still having Luke in his life as the "girl he left behind" when he shipped out.

Well, as I have realized, when you first think about the card thing, you think WTF!? But, when you consider it, the characters and what not, it makes sense and does fit in line with who these people are. Growing up like he did, I'm sure this is not the first homemade gift Luke has gotten. Getting one from his BF is not what I would've expected, but I'm going to let it slide because I'm sure the writers will make it work.
More importantly, Luke and Noah are sweet and somewhat innocent, teenage boys. They are certainly not the humpy and horny boys a lot of viewers envision them to be or think they should be. They have never been written or depicted that way. And I'm glad of it.
