Doing all the heavy lifting.....
Monday, February 18, 2008

A disheartened Gwen and Will needed someone to testify that Sofie was willing to give her baby up or they were screwed. Alison nominated Aaron! She hightailed it over to convince him to help... but to no avail. Meanwhile, Sofie's shady lawyer promised her she'd have Hallie back tonight. When Bonnie dropped by to take them to court, Team Munson was mighty bummed. In court, the judge decried Babs and Iris's meddling and Aaron (fresh from a heart-to-heart with Holden) magically arrived ´ la the Oakdale Transporter to testify. With the caveat that he felt bad for Sofie, he said Sofie had willingly given Hallie up and that Will and Gwen deserved to be her parents. Sofie looked like he'd run over her puppy. He chased after her to apologize and she wasn't havin' it. At Chez Munson, tense Will and Gwen got a call from Barbara. Tense Sofie ignored a call from Aaron, who turned down Ali's olive branch offer of a mocha. Ouch.

Holden came home, finding Lily cooking, and he was in a celebratory mood. Wary Lily was contemplating moving back to the house. She didn't want to take advantage of him (or maybe she *did*...wink wink!). Holden wanted to give them the ol' college try. Too bad skittish Lily ran off to help Carly. Luke and Noah debated post-lecture coffee choices in Old Town and Noah dropped a folded up letter from Col. Homophobe. (Yup, he's baaaack!) At Java, Luke opened the letter and read it aloud for the class. "Everything I did, I did out of love," the murderous colonel opined. Needless to say, Noah wasn't moved. Luke wanted him to let go of the hate, which Noah took to mean Luke was *siding* with Col. Homophobe. Oy. Back at the ranch, er, the farm, Holden set up a candlelit dinner and Aaron arrived for Sofie advice. Good Daddy Holden told him to make sure *Hallie* isn't hurt. Lily magically arrived home via transporter to Holden's romantic set-up. Holden didn't want another secret to come between them, so Lily copped to Carly's crazy plan. "What would you do if it were Luke or Ethan?" she wondered. Speaking of Luke, now at the farm, he assured Noah, "No matter what, I'm going to be on your side." And they hugged. As they often do. Lily angsted over snitching on Carly to Jack and Holden told her about his talk with Aaron. Holden then took his own advice about not taking the easy way out. "I want to try again. I want to work at it," he admitted, asking Lily to stay on the farm. Aw! Back in the barn, Noah found his bag open and his letter missing. He and Luke interrupted Holden and Lily's hug to ask if the girls had gotten into Noah's stuff. Hmm....

In Milltown, Carly tried to boost pouty Parker's spirits as a grim Jack arrived. He told them Parker was being tried as an adult. "He's just a boy!" Carly gasped. "He only shot Sam because he was defending me!" Prison-bound Parker stormed off, depressed, and Carly interrupted the Holden-Lily reunion talk with an emergency phone call (Grr!). Carly wanted a favor: the use of Lucinda's jet so she could get Parker out of the country. (At least this time it's her son and not Simon!) Lily tried to talk sense to guilt-ridden Carly, who pleaded. Lily immediately called for the jet. Carly kept mum about her plans to Jack (as usual!) and then told Parker to pack. Parker wanted to stay and face things like a man, but agreed to his mom's stricken request. On the jet, he regretted not saying goodbye to his siblings. Of course, Jack arrived! (Yes, Lily called him.) "Skipping town, that's not an answer," Jack reasoned. "He'll be free, he'll be safe!" Carly declared, as Jack pointed out Parker would be ripped away from family and friends. The angsty duo went back and forth and tormented Parker interrupted, saying he wants to go home! There, Carly apologized for her trademark impulsiveness and Jack told her they had to stick together. "We are gonna get through this," he promised, holding her close.
