Doing all the heavy lifting.....
|
Tuesday, February 19, 2008 Brad and Katie's flirting at OAKDALE NOW was quickly curtailed by Bonnie's arrival. Katie's Green Eyed Monster soon followed. At Al's, a distracted Henry was off his mark. When skeevy Gray arrived, Vienna asked Henry for the truth and he admitted he lost Al's in a poker game! Margo totally called Katie on her green eyes (much like your recapper) as Brad enjoyed Bonnie's company. Henry saw their reversal of fortune as a chance to go have adventures, but a devastated V said she was willing to do "anything" to save her puppy-diner-customer family. Henry was forced to tell Vienna Gray's offer: they could keep the diner if she spent the night with him. "Why not?" Vienna tearfully replied. "This is not happening," Henry told her, insisting their relationship meant more than a diner. Gray gave them one week to vacate the premises. Back at WOAK, Brad told Katie not to interrupt his outing with Bonnie and Katie admitted to Margo that, okay, it bothered her. Margo told her to suck it up and go for it. Henry refused to share Vienna with anyone and she said the one night would "mean nothing." When Brad and Bonnie arrived, Vienna told them about Gray's proposal. Bonnie implied Vienna had traded her body before and Vienna threw eggs and flour at her. (LOL!) Finding the boys unyielding, Vienna went to Katie for advice. She asked why American men are "such prudes." Henry, meanwhile, didn't want Gray reminding Vienna of the high life she'd left. "She loves being poor with you!" Brad assured. Katie, an authority on cheating, told Vienna accepting Gray's offer was cheating. But she admitted she herself hadn't been able to separate sex and romance. As they chatted, Vienna received a diamond necklace — yes, delivered to WOAK. (Stalker much, Gray?) "There's no way I'm giving this back!" she declared. Ironically, Brad assured Henry that Vienna "can't be bought." Paul stalked Meg outside Java (seriously, he was lurking) to tell her that Craig had left town, but she wasn't havin' it. "We're going to run into each other at some point, Meg. It's a very small town," he pointed out, working the Paul Ryan puppy face and being so generally adorable she had a hard time resisting. Still, she soldiered on. Meanwhile, Paul called Emily with a proposition. He got in some potshots about her and Chris and she pointed out, "You got dumped, too." Meanwhile, Meg came home to a miraculously empty farm, found a red rose addressed to her, and muttered, "Damn you, Paul!" Paul offered Emily a sweet business deal with the Intruder and Meg rushed in to plunk the rose down. She told a bewildered Paul to leave her alone and Emily was mighty amused. When Meg returned to the farm, she found another rose with a note saying, "I knew you'd think it was from Paul." As for Paul...he found Craig! Casey was twigged to see Matt getting a job at the Lakeview. Sofie, meanwhile, thanked a smitten Chris for testifying at her hearing. They went for a walk together. She told him her whole orphan-wah-birds-do-my-hair Disney heroine backstory. Back at the Lakeview, Matt offered to leave if his dealings were freaking Casey out. Of course, we all know he won't. Matt and Casey then ran into Ali. Casey turned down Ali asking him out, but then Matt asked her out. Back in the park, Chris found a random hat sales stand (very common in Oakdale!) and he and Sofie tried silly hats on. Of course, she randomly found the hat she had knit for Hallie there (!) and started sobbing all over him. She then spoke random Spanish to the hat stand lady and admitted Chris is "guapo" (that's "handsome"). Elsewhere, Matt promised an edgy Casey he wouldn't tell his folks they were prison buddies. They arrived home and found Margo preparing lunch and beaming cluelessly. Of course, shady Matt made a shady phone call. Now back in Old Town, Sofie thanked Chris for buying her gloves and raising her spirits — and she realized he spoke Spanish. "I'm glad you think I'm cute," he grinned. Naturally, Emily spied the sweet moment. |
