That's the sense I am getting from reading some comments. I'll have to watch it for myself though whenever it becomes available online. |

Doing all the heavy lifting.....
|
It wasn't very exciting, I'll say that much. Maybe it's because unlike mist weddings, it wasn't interrupted or anything. Luke and Noah had some nice scenes and it was clear that neither of them were happy to be rushing into his marriage...... but they gave a lot of airtime to a fake marriage. I find that kinda strange. I also find it kind of strange that these two 18 year old boys in their first relationship who haven't even had sex yet, are talking about wanting to have their own wedding some day. I swear these guys are SO intense. But the strangest part was Aaron basically telling Luke that he and Noah wer e headed for a breakup and it was best that Luke prepare himself. Nice advice, bro! |

Yeah, it doesn't sound exciting. I thought they would play up the angst more. I can tell this storyline isn't going to be as good as I had hoped. It's going to start getting even more choppy for Martha's exit. |

I thought they'd play the angst more too. There was some.... but I thought there could have been more. Frankly, there was too much of the wedding itself and the preparations and what not and not enough of the guys. I loved the sick look on Noah's face when the preacher said he could kiss the bride..... and he basically kissed on her ear. LOL! Of course, the writers could NOT have him kissing her. Could you imagine the letters and phone calls? Not pretty. |

And it sucks that their story is going on hold because of it. Not fair, especially since this was supposed to be a big storyline. Who knows how long it'll be stalled until they get the Lily situation worked out since she was supposed to be a big part of the story. Hopefully not too long. |

What I don't get is why did they have to do the reception? No one was watching, so why put Luke through this. Why didn't Noah say enough? I just don't get it. |

I agree. There was TOO much of the wedding... they were treating it like a real wedding, not the difficult and sad occasion that it truly was. I didn't understand that either. Oh and I love that Ameera gets Aaron's room..... so Noah is STILL on that sofa! My sense overall is that these boys have NO idea what they are getting into. They are sad about doing this, but I don't think they have a clue. I don't think they realize how hard this is going to be. I really don't. Keeping their relationship secret is going to be a big problem.... and I'll bet it will eventually force Noah and Ameera to have to move off the farm (and into Gwen and Will's soon to be vacant house). Makes me wonder about Aaron's words of 'wisdom'. |

I just watched and I was really disappointed. The Aaron/Luke scene was the highlight to me. |

So I was finally able to watch the entire thing. Nearly the whole thing seemed bad. At least Jake and Van's acting was great. The marriage was boring. It seemed to me that the show could decide if they wanted to make the marriage all "angsty" or if they wanted as sort of Luke and Noah's wedding, thus happy, but instead we got a mix both and didn't come across as either to me. I think nearly the entire episode could have just been done off screen and I would have gotten the same out of it.
there was a couple of ok scenes, but the only scene I loved was the last one when Noah promised to marry Luke someday. Although, that moment actually happening is probably a long way off. |

Van and Jake were good..... Van's got that sad and pathetic look down pat and they had some sweet moments. I think I realize why the show played it the way they did. Luke and Noah had decided together that they were doing the right thing. They truly believe they made the right decision. So to have them looking pitiful, as if someone kicked their dog and burned down the house would have viewers wondering if they're so devastated, then why do it? So I think they had them play it as bittersweet more than sad and depressing and downbeat. Because that's what it was pretty much, bittersweet. At least, that's what I think. |

Van is such an expressive actor. I mean I felt Luke's pain but you can tell he was proud of Noah too. It was bittersweet. I definitely think they would marry each other if they could like right now. |

I agree. While I think if this fake marriage thing was happening, Luke might not have brought it up, but I totally see Noah bringing it up if this fake marraige wasn't going on. If this wasn't happening and instead just had their first time togehter, I can totally see Noah thinking the next step is to get a place with Luke (something he already wanted) and then shortly later marriage. |

I do think if the show was smart, they would wait a while before Luke and Noah got "married". I think the couple will only grow their fanbase in time and I think waiting a few years, could result in huge ratings and media coverage. Not saying they wouldn't get that if it happened 6-8 months from now, but I think it could be even bigger if they waited a few years. |

Isn't that what the moving in episode was about? It was like they got married. |

I definitely think they should wait a couple of years before 'marrying'. I'd like to see them get through this story and weather a couple of more storms (including another guy chasing after Luke) before finally settling down. Let's not marry too soon. Then you become Will and Gwen. And who wants that? |
