Doing all the heavy lifting.....
|
Luke tries to stop Noah from joining the millitary this week. "Noah is just so confused", sighs Jake Silbermann. "He says, 'I need to go somewhere where I know what to do. I don't know what to do out here. [ In the military], I can follow strict rules." Luckily, Luke follows him during his bid to enlist. "Luke knows it's not the right thing for him, and deep down Noah knows that, too. He's dealing with this guilt concerning his father. A big part of Noah still blames himself", says Silbermann. While Noah festers with that guilt, Luke makes a bold play for his heart. "Luke lets the recruiters know that Noah is gay and they are together", says Silbermann. "There's no sabotaging. He's just trying to remind Noah that he can't be who he really is in a military setting. Luke seems to feel that "Don't Ask, Don't tell" won't work". Noah doesn't pretend to be straight. "He just sidesteps. But it's not long before he feels the need to tell the recruiters the truth", insists Silbermann. The military rep wastes no time in reminding him that he'll have to keep his sexual orientation to himself-leaving Noah with a big decision to make. "He's looking at his life and what direction he wants to go, as many young people do. But he has to overcome a big hurdle", teases Silbermann. |

And it's an amazing step forward to Noah, that he declares his orientation to, of all people, the army recruiter. |

I wonder if maybe that's why Jake said, "there's no sabotaging" to try to squelch that feeling. Best thing for me, to do, is just wait and see how it plays out. Doesn't sound like Noah feels violated by it at all, and Jake did say, deep down, Noah knows this isn't for him, too. |

Me too. Maybe he just bursts into the office and blurts out he loves Luke or whatever. Then Luke would be outing Noah indirectly, so that might be as bad. I dunno, I guess we'll just have to wait and see. |

I like how this is all backwards, in other words LUKE doing this thing to NOAH instead of the other way around, and it makes people want to throw down on Luke for "what he's doing" to Noah. Kinda makes people want to defend Noah. Hmmm.....you'd think they were doing this on purpose or something to bring Luke and Noah to equal ground in the eyes of some viewers...... |

I just hope that Noah doesn't hold it against Luke forever. Luke was totally wrong, but Noah joining the military would be the worst mistake of his young life. |

From that article, it looks like it's not a issue for Noah at all. Because Jake makes it sound like, deep down Noah knows what Luke is saying, is right, and this is a mistake for him. That makes me want to come to the conclusion that Noah tries to back out or something. We'll find out next week what happens next, I suppose though ! |

I heard a rumor that Noah does try to back out... but getting out proves to be a bit of an issue. But it'll be a small hurdle for the guys to contend with. |
