It didn't bother me that they didn't show it, because I try to watch the show when it's on imagining it from a "spoiler free" point of view, because that's what they intend for me to do. And I think most of the average viewers are spoiler free, they just tune and watch the old fashioned way...and really, going into the show knowing what's going to happen can change one's perception of what they see. So anyway.... Watching from a spoiler free point of view, it seems like they were wanting people to think "gee, same old Noah, running away again" when clearly that wasn't the case. Doing it this way probably made all those "average viewer" people feel much more for Noah by doing it this way....making them think Noah had just run off again, and then surprising them. We take for granted that we're very smart viewers who know what's going to happen, that sometimes we can't perceive just how the average spoiler free viewer perceives things. From their point of view today's show was probably very exciting with lots of twists and turns, and I always try to watch the show with their blinders on, like it used to be before the days of soap mags and spoilers and internet, etc.....and maybe that's why I seemed to enjoy the plot and the show more than the majority of people??? Who knows??? I hope this makes a little sense :-) |

I knew we would see it either, that would require a good EP and HW. I'm still beyond pissed though! LOL Edited by dkp, Apr 15 2009, 03:39 PM.

Yeah, I get that, but they already previewed Noah kidnapped twice in the previews. So even spoiler-free people, unless they live under a rock, already knew Noah was being kiddnapped/something would happen at some point this week. I get the show trying to go the "OMG, where the hell is Noah/Typical Noah took again route", but from the parts I saw, they failed and certainly not the route I would have chose. Can't wait till clips are up on youtube! |

Ok I watched: God Aweful show. I give it a D. If wasn't for the amazing acting, it would have been an F. Noah Kidnapping plot: BEYOND DUMB. First off, doesn't the writers know kidnappings are only supposed to happen on Friday's as cliffhangers? I know the show was going the "Where is Noah/Noah took off again" route, but to me that FAILED miserably, due to the terrible writing and not the route I would have gone. Even though I knew we wouldn't get it, we should have seen Noah get nabbed, I feel SO jyped. Luke: That phone call from Noah should have raised so many flags. NO WAY in hell Luke should believe Noah would just "take off" for Lisbon. GMAB! Lily/Damian: Loving their scenes Baby Drama: Don't care, boring and dumb. Overall: Like I said above D! I HATED the show. Edited by dkp, Apr 15 2009, 05:26 PM.
