News
LDL is baack, finally. We've fixed her up a bit and cleaned up old topics and made other changes. However, the plot still needs a little help. I thought maybe the best way to go would be to wait until you the members were able to see everything before we tweaked the plot so please feel free to post any ideas or suggestions you may have.

old news
There's a bunch of fun stuff that's about to happen plotwise. Also, go and take a look at the subplots, some of them need more characters before they can happen. [=

Seven friends with the new trend of starting over and making new.

Their lives were far from what anyone would consider perfect. They didn’t wear Dolce and Gabbanna Sunglasses. They didn’t shop at Buckle. Or drive Mercedes. They had never owned a Sidekick ID, and weren’t soaking up the skyline known as Los Angeles, California. They weren’t living off mommy’s and daddy’s credit cards, but life experiences – ones no one should have ever had to go through.

They didn’t all grow up together, living down the street with manicured lawns, swinging from their front porch swings. They didn’t carpool or walk to school together, talking about the last big neighborhood birthday party and how Andrew Carson fell head first into the cake and EVERYONE was mad. They weren’t the kids whose families drove them to the beach every summer so they could feel the sand underneath their feet and experience a sunrise.

These are the kids that watched their lives fall apart, but never completely hit rock bottom. The kids that had to look forward, without looking back, making a choice to stay with it. The ones that decided enough was enough, packed up their lives, in hopes to find something better – the kids that hopped in the car and drove to the gas ran out, hoping that they could be something to each other, but most of all themselves.

They met somewhere along the way and just fell into sync together.

WELCOME TO KEISER, IOWA.
Population: Picture Perfect.

The town is what fifties television is made of – naivety and good behavior. The kids here grow up on strong beliefs and good behavior. They’ve never experienced sex, drugs, rock ‘n’ roll, and don’t know the taste of chaos. Their mother’s stay home, having dinner on the table by five every evening, and their father’s have jobs more respectable than not. Mornings come by the sunrises and Sunday’s are days to be shared with their family, together, constructing their beliefs out of the traditions that have been passed down.

These are the kids that are virgins till marriage not by choice, but because if one of them starts, the entire town will know and fall to it. The town has been built on stability and the belief that salvation is for those who seek it, who crave it, and who believe it’s only right to date once you have turned eighteen.

And this is where they all ended up – the seven of them and their car.

This is where they took their bags out of the trunk, booked a motel room, and started job hunting. The town’s raising eyebrows, and whispering in a polite manner behind their hands and everyone’s back because they’ve invaded perfection – these “kids” have tainted the water and now their children are susceptible to the truth – the word “reality.”

This is a learning experience to open the eyes of everyone to the colors of the world, to the people who were too scared to see. This is dancing on the other sides of the tracks because these kids, these seven young adults who didn’t have life handed to them have seen the way the world looks from six feet under, and they’ve gained the strength to climb out.
