News
LDL is baack, finally. We've fixed her up a bit and cleaned up old topics and made other changes. However, the plot still needs a little help. I thought maybe the best way to go would be to wait until you the members were able to see everything before we tweaked the plot so please feel free to post any ideas or suggestions you may have.

old news
There's a bunch of fun stuff that's about to happen plotwise. Also, go and take a look at the subplots, some of them need more characters before they can happen. [=

[size=0]___________________________________________

twenty-five years ago, the theatré zampanò was little more than a
dream; a single television set and VCR in a spare bedroom. People
would come over to watch movies, anything that was rented that week.
The Levander family was poor, but they were popular, with their
friday-night movies. It soon became obvious to Mr. Levander, a risk taker
above anything, that they might just be able to profit from this. He bought
a small commercial building and with the help of some family friends made
the theatre into what it is now: theatré zampanò.

After he retired, his daughter took over for him as the owner and manager
of the theatre, and she brought along her own ideas- a little refurbishing,
new seats in the theatre, and... the Zampano Film Festival. The theatre had
stuck to showing smaller productions and independent films, and The theatre
had gained a lot of popularity considering its size, so why not? she decided.
The festival is now in its sixth year, with seven independent films to show the
ever-faithful movie-goers. From the almost-famous directors to the ones just
starting out, it's here. And whether it's a lowly extra or a rich freelance
screenwriter, there's people here, too, watching their movies on film.
