News
LDL is baack, finally. We've fixed her up a bit and cleaned up old topics and made other changes. However, the plot still needs a little help. I thought maybe the best way to go would be to wait until you the members were able to see everything before we tweaked the plot so please feel free to post any ideas or suggestions you may have.

old news
There's a bunch of fun stuff that's about to happen plotwise. Also, go and take a look at the subplots, some of them need more characters before they can happen. [=

Paris, France
  • Otherwise known as the city of light, love and romance, Paris is recognized for it's contributions to Europe's fine culture. Reknowned for it's fashion, food and film exports, it's no wonder that millions flock to the country every year in tourism-hoardes. It's as beautiful as it is famous, with the amazing Eiffel Tower only being one of the many sights to see in the city, not to mention the Louvre and Notre-Dame cathedral. For tourists, they can enjoy the exquisite tastes of France by staying at the Ritz, sipping café in one of the many bistros and fine dining by candlelight in the beauty of it's restaurants. But you've seen all of this before, you're used to it all by now. So that probably leaves you wondering...
Where do you fit in?
  • L'Academie de Valmont (The Valmont Academy) has been around since the early 1920's and has served as a education centre for teenagers grades 9-12 (American) in a new atmosphere. As long as you can afford it, and there is enough space available, the academy accepts applications from all over the globe for any parents who want to send their children to finish their highschool years in a new and culturally-open atmosphere that Paris embodies. Many only stay for a semester or two, or perhaps a full school year, but there are some who come to finish off their whole highschool career. The Valmont Academy offers many of the same courses that one would be put through in a North American highschool, but with a certain focus on relating those courses to things that happen in and around Paris. Classes are taught in English and French, except of course for language classes, to give all students a better chance at becoming bi-lingual and being able to actually become part of Parisian culture.

L'Academie de Valmont offers student housing at a more expensive rate for those who can't afford a home of their own, or do not have parents that live around them. For those students who plan on staying at the Academy for their entire secondary education, many rent apartments or houses in the city, while those who have found themselves living with family in Paris can be at home as well. However, the student housing is located right on the school campus and (for the rate their families are paying) is very high-standard, and also offers meal plans in their Dining Hall to all students in an attempt to create some sort of semblance to those wishing to attend post-secondary education in America. As stated before, the Academy has students from all over the world, but most do tend to come from North America.

Whether you're a rich American, used to being sent around to posh private schools...
A British working-class, being sent by scholarship...
An average French student, just trying to be taught by the best...
Whoever you are, there is a place for you at L'Academie de Valmont.

And there is a place for you, the player, at...
