News
LDL is baack, finally. We've fixed her up a bit and cleaned up old topics and made other changes. However, the plot still needs a little help. I thought maybe the best way to go would be to wait until you the members were able to see everything before we tweaked the plot so please feel free to post any ideas or suggestions you may have.

old news
There's a bunch of fun stuff that's about to happen plotwise. Also, go and take a look at the subplots, some of them need more characters before they can happen. [=

LUXURIA FOR POWER DROVE THEIR THOUGHTS.
[size0] The year is 2088, and the wizarding world had been quiet for too
long. Forced peace through the Ministry's 'patient' compromises
with pureblood powerhouses including the Malfoys and Lestranges
gave way to nearly ninety years without so much as a stirring from
the wizarding world. Many called it 'The Golden Age of Modern
Wizarding', but, many grew bored with little to nothing stirring in the
shadows of the underdark. Knockturn Alley had long since been shut
down and cleared out, deemed as unnecessary in this new world of
peace with new ways to flourish and live the good life popping up
on every corner of Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade. Children could go
and play outside with nary a fear, and those who were once high
society were seen mingling amongst names such a Finch-Fletchley.
But not everyone was exactly happy with this new and peaceful way.

GULA FUELED THEIR FIRE LIKE COAL.
[size0] May 12th, 2088 - The Daily Prophet's headline that day was loud
and clear, decorating the yellowed parchment paper in a blood
red tinge to announce the Ministry's newest campaign that would
quickly become the subject of every tongue on the wizarding side
of London. The Ministry had made moves to attack the muggle
parliament. Their motives were unknown, considering that the
muggle and wizarding worlds had been totally separate since
the bleak winter of 1689, when the Ministry had enough of witch
burnings in the cities of the world. Everyone was in a flurry for
that day and the week after. Young men and women were being
recruited into the Ministry's Amplitudo Exercitus, an army built
wholly upon the donations of yet unnamed supporters of this new
campaign, though everyone had their opinions of who exactly had
donated such large volumes of funding. The world was on edge.

AVARITIA BROUGHT THE MUGGLE WORLD TO ITS KNEES.
[size0] Prime Minister Dorlan never saw it coming. When he had grudgingly
agreed to allow the wizarding world to reconnect with the magicless
populace of London and Great Britain, he had only thought of the
possibility to renew Britain's economy; in fact, give it a jump start.
He never expected that a month later, after many successful and
jovial negotiations, that London and its outlying towns would be
attacked and quickly brought under the rule of the Ministry of Magic.
The whole of Britain was thrown into panic, but the Ministry had no
pity for the poor and defenseless non-magic folk. Soon after they
issued their intent to the world. They intended to finally bring the
lesser, non-magical beings beneath them where they belonged.
Camps had already been constructed, covertly disguised using
powerful spells and jinxes. Caught muggles were either sold into
slavery as replacements for house elves, or were sent to the camps
if they were deemed unsatisfactory. No one knew what their fate was.

ACEDIA MADE RESPONSE PRACTICALLY USELESS.
[size0] The assault went on without interruption. All too quickly, the Ministry
had reached out to all other wizarding strongholds throughout the
world, asking for their best and brightest to come and hear their new
insidious plans. Of course, their true intentions were hidden beneath
cheery facades of unity between wizards and muggles, and young
ambassadors of all ages and sexes were soon catching portkeys to
the seemingly bustling and cheery city of London to be educated in
the ways of the English Ministry and their successful plans to
reintroduce muggle and wizarding lifestyles. In actuality, few
non-magical folk had actually been allowed to be outside of their
concentrated neighborhoods, negating those who were squibs or had
produced wizarding children who attended Hogwarts. Meanwhile,
wizarding life went as smoothly as usual, as if there was no muggle
holocaust going on underneath the English Ministry's cheery facade.

IRA DROVE THEIR ENTHUSIASTIC DESTRUCTION.
[size0] Soon enough, every street and alleyway was not without a member
of the Amplitudo Exercitus to maintain the order and peace, though
the guard was significantly thicker within the poorly constructed
muggle ghettos. Each guard has his or her ears piqued for the
slightest rumble or squeak of dissent or uprising, and any flashes of
hope were quickly smashed to rubble. All communications except
those by paper were completely dismantled, and only were afforded
upon privilege to wealthier families within the muggle ghettos who
consented to cooperate with the Ministry. Wizarding London still
carried on with light-hearted fervor, though each street was likewise
monitored for any clue of corruption or disagreement with new
policies. Azkaban soon became a excruciatingly bone chilling name.

INVIDIA DROVE THEM TO FIGHT BACK.
[size0] With their new knowledge of the wizarding people and their ways,
the incarcerated muggles became increasingly agitated and flighty
in their day to day doings, and more attempts of battery and other
harm against members of the army were seen day to day. All of this
was attributed to the sin of envy. Muggles envied the new wizarding
splendor. They envied their freedoms, their homes, and their
families, even envied that they had power over them simply through
some inane principal within a wizard's blood that made them able
to do things a normal person couldn't. They were envious, but quiet,
hoping that they could each earn a salvation of some sort by being
taken in as a servant or slave; a new fashion that sprouted up fairly
quickly after the initial institution of ghettos. After all it was cheap labor.

SUPERBIA SIGNED THEIR DEATH WARRANT.
[size0] They were too proud to admit that their new conditions were doing
exactly as planned; breaking their spirits and minds. As their media
and daily lives were increasingly more enclosed in the strangle hold
of the Ministry of Magic, muggles soon found themselves to be the
puppets of whatever insidious plan the wizards around them had
planned. A dreary fall set in, and all seemed wholly and truly lost.
But hope springs eternal, and can people really be held captive for long?
