- All ages are as of April 3, 2015. All player's birthdays are accurate, and the player does age on it. This means if a player has a birthday of April 4, and is listed as 28, he turns 29 on April 4. It does NOT mean he is in his age 28 season, the age listed is simply his opening day age.

- The minimum salary is 540k. In all previous modern day sims, it was 380k. What this means is that you should be looking to increase ALL offers by 42%. If your offer to a player was 10 mil in a previous sim, then that same player would be worth 14.2 mil now. This is just simple economic math and if you can't handle it then you need to look elsewhere for help on that.

- And YES, inflation is on this time. This means the minimum salary will increase every season. Which, again, means the scope of contract value should also increase accordingly every season.

Some basic reminders we always use:
- Sim blog bonus is on, along with double bonus. So you can blog twice per sim period (or per week in offseason times, Sun-Sat) for extra cash (1 mil per blog). As always, blogs will not be paid if they are deemed hastily thrown up cash grabs. Blogs also do not have to be about your own team, but please make sure you sign off on them if it isn't obvious who is writing it.

- Your money is private. You need to ask me for it via slack (pissfortress.slack.com, if you aren't there often, well, sorry. It's a 24/7 chat in which every key GM is there. Not logging in to slack now is like not signing into AIM in 2003. You're at a heavy disadvantage.), you will only automatically get a notification on your cash if you are on a bankruptcy pace.

- Bankruptcy: If you go in the red, you MAY retain players who are in arbitration years, but any player up for free agency must be released. You will be given a free agency stipend for the open market, the stipend differs case-by-case and is again private.

- All sims are a month, meaning there are 6 sims per regular season. The June (3rd) sim will have the 6 round amateur draft, meaning you will have to add all your draftees before the July sim. The trade deadline takes place between the July and August (4th and 5th) sims. The amount of time between sims can vary greatly, as I am a dang adult now. It will never be less than 48 hours, which is a very reasonable amount of time to fix your roster. You are ALWAYS expected to check the injuries and retirements threads between sims. Failure to maintain this will result in both fines, and shame from everyone else in the sim. Don't be an asshole, we're trying to have a simciety here. I put a LOT of work into this. You need to check 2 threads and act accordingly. Please do so.

- Roster setup and maintenance: If you are unsure how your roster should look, check out any sim veteran's setup for the basic looks. 3 minor league levels (AAA, AA, A) The levels must reasonably even (so if you have 24 minor league pitchers, you can't put 11 in AAA, you need to even it out). All rosters will have 14 position players and 11 pitchers (meaning AL bench has 5, NL 6). The pitcher must bat 9th in NL. NL teams' top bench player will be the DH and bat 9th in games in AL parks, unless that player is a catcher and no other catcher would be available off the bench. Bullpen roles should be listed as such, and in this order:
Closer
Setup
Short
Short
Middle
Long

Every roster maintenance rule is in place for my convenience, it's hard enough as it is, so please format your rosters in a way that is conducive to simplicity and speed.

- Injuries: Mid-sim injury replacements will be decided based on your roster. The highest-listed player eligible at the injured player's position will take his position and lineup spot, using bench first, then minor league levels. This means the order in which you list everyone is important, at least on the bench and in AAA (I recommend AA and A as well, you never know what can happen, but you also probably don't need to go nuts switching 2 guys in A ball).

If anyone has anything else I should add, or any questions, this is the place.
