The scene opens with a montage from earlier in the day, showing the fans standing in a huge line outside of the MGM Grand Garden Arena. They are in a frenzy, with some of them wearing their favorite fighters gear, while others are draped with irish flags.

MLC! MLC!

The chants start loudly and fade with the screen before a video package starts to hype the fight.

The numerous altercations at the Press Conference play, followed by various highlight moments of the fighters who have fought before in MLC.

Badass finishing Shields with a vicious knee, Navorro decimating Terry, Cody Davis picking apart Dior, and of course a montage of P3 & Sharks hardest hits bring the PPV to a roaring open as the scene quickly changes to an overhead sweep of the packed arena and the cage set up dead center.

MARIA SCALETTA: Alright fight fans!! We’re coming to you LIVE on PAY PER VIEW from the beautiful MGM grand to bring you the much anticipated MLC 10: Shark VS P3!!!!

GAGE BENJAMIN: You've heard the buzz, seen the trash talk, witnessed the animosity at the press conference and weigh in…. Now? The wait is finally over.

MARIA SCALETTA: That's right Gage. This card should've been titled bad blood with all the beef between some of these fighters.

GAGE BENJAMIN: I don't think the WWE would enjoy that too much. We do indeed have a handful of grudge matches on the card tonight though. Aries Reed VS. Megan Treamon, Davis Vs. Fisk, and of course our main event of the evening... Shark and P3.

MARIA SCALETTA: When I asked Jason Jackson what he thought about all the hostility between these guys he told me “We are in the hurt business, some people aren't here to make friends. I'm okay with that.” I gotta agree… animosity sells fights…And we are in abundant supply tonight.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Indeed we are. So shall we get this started? Let's run down this card and get into the action! I'm ready to see these fighters go to work and do what they do best!

MARIA SCALETTA: Aren't we all! Alright guys! Our first fight of the night welcomes a prominent figure in the professional wrestling world to Mixed Martial Arts as Aries Reed takes on Megan Treamon.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Megan is a real challenge for someone new to the sport. This girl says that she learned to fight from a video game, and if that's true...then I need to know where the hell to buy this game. She's been an absolute work horse here, and in CGFC… and has found some success. She's looking to welcome Aries with an ass kickin’ and build some momentum. I've gotta go with Megan here Maria.

MARIA SCALETTA: I'm sure Aries has something to say about that. It goes without saying that this man will be able to grapple with Megan, but a lesser known fact is that Reed was a golden gloves boxer in Atlanta and has hands as well that he fully intends on throwing Treamon’s way. Speculation says that The Silver Tongued Devil is looking to rough Megan up for the things she said at the dragons way press conference. I'm excited to see how that plays out. I gotta go with Aries.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Fair enough! Our second fight of the night is being touted as a “glimpse into the future” of MMA. Boxing prodigy Zion Rogers makes the jump to MMA, taking on the new kid on the block in Carrick Price. Both of these cats are 0-0 and want to walk out of here with a successful debut.

MARIA SCALETTA: Carrick was discovered by the boss a few months ago and since then has moved to Slaughta to further building his technique with a top notch team. He tore through his amateur fights like an F-5 tornado, and his ground game is a terror…being compared to the likes of Navorro Williams, Cass Madrigal, and Ernest Cauldwell. He's not only fighting for a check tonight… he's fighting for his country and his sister who he recently lost.. So he has my vote. I think Carrick walks out of here with the W.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Condolences go out to Carrick and his family. Now with that being said… before a fight can hit the ground, it starts on the feet and boy does Zion have that area covered. His head movement, footwork, hand speed and power are all world class. This kid can knock you out with a single punch, and he does it SO well off the counter. I think that Zion is going to let Carrick swing for the fences and take advantage of a whiff to put him to sleep. My vote is Zion, by slick nasty counter punch.

MARIA SCALETTA: I guess we'll see! After that we have a grudge match for the ages. Daniel Fisk and Cody Davis have been at each other for months now and they are finally going to get to settle things inside the cage. Who you got?

GAGE BENJAMIN: Geez I'm surprised these two haven't killed each other yet to be honest. Mad disrespect coming from both sides here… with Daniel totally discounting Cody and Davis taking personal shots at .44…. this could be the sleeper fight of the night. Someone is getting hurt, and in all honesty I think it's Fisk. Cody seems to have gotten in his head, and he doesn't fight well angry. I got Cody Davis… by submission. He won't be able to knock Fisk out but those long limbs could help lock in a slick sub.

MARIA SCALETTA: You have got to be on drugs. Have you seen the comparison? Putting physical attributes aside… because we all know Fisk could break Cody like a twig… LOOK AT THE RECORDS! Fisk has fought a long list of challenging opponents and Cody folded against his first test in Lena. I think Davis has written a check that his ass can't cash… Fisk… by Knockout

GAGE BENJAMIN: You're a SlaughterHouse mark Maria. (Laughs) You should be happy though, seeing as how our fourth fight of the night is a stand up showcase between Slaughta's Bree Geneva and the ever exciting Elena Nguyen.

MARIA SCALETTA: I love all the teams Gage! You can't deny the tenacity of the Slaughta crew though. This fight is another one that could be a sleeper for fight of the night, and/or knockout of the night. Both of these women have made it clear that they want to keep this fight standing and give these fans a show and I have no doubt that they will. I think in the end though, Bree takes advantage of the flashy style of Nguyen and lands that bye-bye punch to take home a W.

GAGE BENJAMIN: That flashy style is hard to train against though. Elena has vicious kicks and cardio for days that I think will carry her to a victory. Look for her to use leg kicks to slow the boxer down and then a flashy kick to put it away. Elena gets it done here tonight and continues building speed.

MARIA SCALETTA: Our Co-Main event of the night is next, as we'll see grappling sensation and ever so controversial Navorro Williams taking on the Muay Thai Magician Badass!!! Who takes it?

GAGE BENJAMIN: That’s an easy one for me…Badass. He's coming in with a lot to prove… underdog, first time main eventing… the chips are stacked against this kid and that's when he shines. He has nasty elbows and knees, and his camp informed us that he has been working on his ground game as well in preparation for Navorro. I think he uses the Muay Thai to issue a threat to Vo’s takedown and takes control of this fight in the clench and stand-up. I think Badass puts on a striking clinic for 3 rounds and gets a victory.

MARIA SCALETTA: ( Bad Navorro impression) You underestimates the So-Vo! How was that? Close? Look, I'll give it to Badass… he deserves a big fight like this especially after his last win but the level of competition may prove to be too much. Navorro is a champion and a submission machine. If this fight hits the ground, I think Darth Grippa puts it away with ease. Navorro… by submission.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Last, but certainly not least we have the much anticipated Main event of the evening. After all the speculation and all the talk… we finally get to see these two square off to determine number one contender. Maria… P3 or Shark… who goes on to fight Cass?

MARIA SCALETTA: I am one of the people who always advocated for this fight. Both of these men are future hall of famers and both of these men are on a mission. That mission? The gold that Cass Madrigal wears around her waist. There has been a LOT of cross words and shots fired leading up to this dance. Hell, they almost had to be pulled apart at the PC and the weigh ins!! At the end of the day though I think this fight is make or break for James Shark and in those positions…. James shines like a diamond. I have to go with the Captain of the Slaughta crew naturally. James Shark will be our new contender.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Shark has shown P3 nothing but disrespect leading up to this fight. He's taken personal shots, taunted him.. and now he is going to have to answer for it. Both of these men are well rounded and can hang wherever the fight goes… however, I think it will be P3 and his ruthless Kickboxing that overwhelms Shark and takes him out before the fifth round. This fight definitely doesn't go to a decision. P3 by brutal KO. That's my pick.

MARIA SCALETTA: Well I guess all that's left is to find out!! Without any further adieu, let’s get down to cageside to get this party started…. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!!! MLC 10!

5:00: The fight begins with both Aries and Megan playing it smart in what most fights always have with the feel out stage. Both corners are already yelling out instructions toward their fighters and they haven’t even met in the middle yet. Megan actually raises up her fist looking to bump with Aries in a sign of respect and overall good look. Aries looks at her fist in the air for a moment and smirks in a cocky manner before dapping her fist and circling out in a loose boxing stance. Megan keeps a low posture with her hands up in defense circling with Aries keeping in line with him. Aries is the first to fire off catching Megan well with a jab and adding a lower leg kick to it keeping her slightly off balance. Megan nods in response to the smack of the leg kick and presses forward keeping more control in the cage even though taking the small starting shots.

MARIA SCALETTA: Aries wanting everyone to know he’s in MMA and he’s here to stay.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Megan has a lot more focus in her eyes than we’ve seen of her in the past though. This might be one hell of a welcoming committee for the former wrestling star.

4:21: The feeling out stage begins to wane more and more as now with Megan keeping pace with the backing up Aries she somewhat corners him up and she scores her first points feigning a kick and coming with a straight that hits through Aries block. She uses that moment to steer in closer and clinching up with Aries gives a few knees to the midsection of Aries and even coming around with a knee to the side of the thigh as Aries starts fighting back getting distance from the knees to his solar plexus. The dirty boxing comes into play here for Aries as the ref keeps a close angle in on both Aries and Megan in their clinch but Aries in the inside of Megan’s arms takes advantage of her momentary pause giving her a short elbow making her stall further and this time Aries responses with a knee to the stomach. This one strong enough to make Megan keel over and Aries’ corner hypes up right along with the crowd seeing the young Englishwoman nearing the ground.

GAGE BENJAMIN: OOH! Hard knees might do it here early!!

4:10: She never hits the ground though not even as Aries starts a rapid fire of punches that Megan rapidly backs away from. The small size coming to her benefit as she’s able to speed out of what could've been a very sticky situation for her she’s rounds out at the other side of the cage trying to knock the light cobwebs out.

MARIA SCALETTA: Can’t call Megan out yet!

4:02: Aries fires forward fast but catches counter strikes from Megan throwing a four punch combo and lands the last two punches perfectly throwing Aries off guard now. Aries backing up and Megan regains a bit of control as they start to trade a little in the middle of the cage punch for punch and kick for kick. The moment moves into Aries favor as he used his size against Megan clinching up and pressing her back against the cage. Closer to Megan’s corner they yell out instructions and overall moves to make to get out of being cornered by the larger man. Megan starts off strong attempting to slide out of grip and slip her way into a more dominant position but Reed completely kills that momentum taking his right hand and throwing them low to the ribs making Megan seize up and cover up the area he’s working on making more tender than a filet mignon steak.

3:38: The ref starts to close in more noticing Megan wincing about her side but the fight in her nowhere near over they start jockeying for position arm fighting and Aries putting pressure along Megan’s chest near her neck but that quick motion gives Megan the small space she needed to move her arm under his and pull up fighting for the better position and getting it with a vengeance as she uses the inside position to sneak a mean short elbow right at the side of Aries face near the temple which is enough to get him slightly discombobulated. Aries moving slightly back gives Megan the time to jump up pushing off the cage fenced in wall behind her and pushing off of that….SUPERMAN PUNCH...directly to the mouth of Aries Redd. Might not of been exactly the place she wanted to place it but it does more than enough damage causing Aries mouth to ripen red and fill with blood.

MARIA SCALETTA: Megan with the cage assistance out of completely nowhere!!

GAGE BENJAMIN: The form was excellent and it looks like it’s first sight of blood for the first fight of the night!

3:11: The crowd hypes at the sight of blood and Aries simply spits out the little bit that fills his mouth. He is only slightly rattled before he takes a breath and centers himself pushing forward to fire a hook in Treamon’s direction. He doesn't land flush but it gives him the opening needed to get low and rise with a thunderous uppercut this bringing the crowd to their feet as Megan wobbles and waves trying to stay on her feet. Her back lands against the cage keeping her from going down and Aries hurriedly comes looking for the kill.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Now it’s Aries looking to end it!! This is madness!!

2:39: The whistles and cheers pick up with Aries zeroing in on Megan. The wind up for his overhand right shows the amount of power he plans to place on the punch and Megan’s eyes open and in full desperation mode she dips for his right leg lookin for the single leg takedown with Aries’ punch meeting nothing but air. Megan is able to take him down after a momentary struggle and fight from Aries his back to the mat and a number of cheers for Megan’s resiliency.

MARIA SCALETTA: Megan saving herself with that well timed takedown. She needed that to save herself.

GAGE BENJAMIN: No kidding, I thought it was the beginning of the end for Treamon there.

2:06: Megan postures up in Aries guard looking to fire off shots and get the better of the situation and starting off does a great job and neutralizing the larger Reed. It doesn’t take long for people to realize Treamon being the more overall seasoned MMA fighter is taking advantage in this position firing off quality shots some getting through Reed’s defense. “The Emo Princess” continues to keep Reed guessing going from head to body changing what she throws and how she throws them. The crowd volume begins to grow again people thinking they are seeing a stoppage in the future with Reed not exactly doing as far as defending against Treamon’s attack. What he does do in the heat of the moment is give take a few shots before firing at Treamon with a good hook to the same rib area once again. The area already obviously bruising and tender and Megan can’t help but pull back and seize in pain. This gives the moment the blooded Silver Tongued Devil needed most locking up Treamon’s wrist and putting all his effort with his right leg sweeping Treamon from underneath in an impressive fashion getting the mount position on top of Megan completely changing the momentum!!

GAGE BENJAMIN: OOOOOOOHHHH!!!

MARIA SCALETTA: Aries showing his ability early!! What. A. Sweep!!!

1:31: The crowd goes ballistic as Reed starts to go from hammerfists to hooks to throwing everything but the kitchen sink at Megan. Both corners screaming to high heaven at their fighters with instructions and demands. The ref starts to call out toward Megan letting her know she was now the one in the danger zone as the larger Reed looks to end it here and now. Treamon still has the wherewithal to defend herself and keeping a motion to try to make it as hard as possible for Aries to hit her. She does a decent job of it starting off but when an elbow lands flush on the top over her eyebrow the blood begins to rush now her face and desperation comes calling for her once again. She answers this call by taking one of Aries’ arms and pulling him in taking his head pushing it down and her dropping back looking for a triangle choke from the bottom of Aries mount position. The crowd goes completely ballistic seeing this a rare submission being pulled off in such a fashion from such a dominant mount position. Problem is, she doesn’t have it in all the way as Aries fights realizing he’s been setup for trouble. The crowd still continues their excitement at the struggle between Treamon trying to finish the lock and Reed fighting it off. Both of them looking worse for wear in this physical chess match but Treamon looks to be overpowering with her legs almost locking in...

DING DING!!!

MARIA SCALETTA: What a first round!! This is MLC folks!!

GAGE BENJAMIN: For those wondering, Aries Reed is game here!! Impressive first round.

MARIA SCALETTA: So it Megan, so much growth since her saga against Elena Nguyen.

The round ends with the surprising ground struggle. Treamon calmly lets go of the hold getting to her feet as Aries comes to his knees and nods at that skill shown in the first round from Treamon before heading to his corner.

END OF ROUND 1

Both corners are taking aim at the blood messes both seem to have. Treamon’s cut above her eye and Reed’s bloody mouth being washed out. The time taken is short before both come to a stand and the 2nd round begins.

Posted Image

DING DING!!

5:00: The round begins with both coming into the middle a lot quicker than round one this time. Megan’s stance being a little more taller this time than before perhaps giving her a better chance for Aries’ head when throwing up top. Aries keeps it just like before with his boxing stance and sound footwork pressing forward toward Treamon. Treamon starts with a low leg kick which Reed checks. Treamon throws another, Reed checks. Treamon then fakes like another is coming and instead Reed comes forward with a counter mindset but Treamon ducks out from the shot and comes up close getting inside of Reed’s reach advantage throwing a stiff 1-2 right to the body of Aries giving a little bit of overall payback considering Reed has been making light work of Treamon’s ribs in the first round. Aries feels the shots wincing just a little with Treamon following up looking to go for the face. Her fingers are pointing forward as she reaches upward and before she can clench her fist back to throw another round of hands her fingers poke Aries right in his eye and shortly after Treamon’s punch from her other hand lands flush to Aries temple making him stagger.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Eye poke. That looked like an eye poke ladies and gentlemen.

MARIA SCALETTA: Doesn’t look like it with the punch that followed so quickly after. Was it intentional or not?

4:22: Reed doesn’t even have enough time to react to the eye poke and his face already catches leather. The ref never even sees the out of nowhere eye poke and only has time to respond to the punch from Treamon as Reed staggers back.

MARIA SCALETTA: This is a bad place for Reed! Red still hasn’t addressed the poke.

GAGE BENJAMIN: I don’t think he saw it Maria.

4:12: Treamon takes advantage of the wobbily devil springing to actions as she uses her legs to cover the distance coming with a high kick from the worst order hitting catching Aries as he wobbles in the direction of her rising leg. Aries continues to stand on completely shaky legs and Treamon starts forward again looking for the kill or continued attack but there’s none to be found...The REF is already placing himself in between her and Aries saying Reed is out on his feet and calling the fight pulling Treamon back and looking toward Aries to make sure he’s balanced.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Whoawhoawhoa!! Is he…

MARIA SCALETTA: It sure does look like it. This fight has ended!!

Aries is immediately disputing the call saying he’s good enough to go and yelling at the ref with numerous “What the fuck are you doing?!” lines. It leaves the crowd boo’ing heavily and many questions not answered.

Eventually the madness leads everyone to the middle of the ring with Redd refusing to have his wrist held by the ref and Treamon smiling to herself.

LOUISE SIMONE: Ladies and Gentlemen, this fight ends at 1 minute and 51 seconds in the second round. Declaring your winner by TKO!!!.....MEGGGAAAAANNNNN TREEEAAAAAMOOOONNNNN!!!

The ref throws Treamon’s wrist in the air as her smile widens and Reed’s face scowls toward the ref and overall call even harder.

Zion Rogers versus Carrick Price
Favorite: Carrick PriceUnderdog: Zion RogersWeight Limit: 165 lbs or Less

All is quiet in the arena until the lights drop. ‘One’ by Shy Glizzy booms starts up over the PA, a lot of fans not sure who this debuting fighter is. Out through the curtains emerges Zion Jones wearing some large blue fuzzy Cookie Monster hat. Some of the crowd cheers his unorthodox ring gear as he raises a glove to them. He jogs down to ringside with his Kings Boxing trainers in tow, rooting on their man on the way to ringside. Zion stops to high five a few fan hands before stepping up to the prep point.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Well that’s one way to get attention in your first fight. While he may look like cookie monster, Zion is a hell of a boxer coming out of Kings Boxing. 5-0 amateur record, 19-2 professional record. This man has power in both of his hands, and is looking to transition that knockout power to MMA.

MARIA SCALETTA: While I think he does have an outstanding pre-MMA record, you need to be ready for wherever the fight goes. I feel we’ll get to see how well rounded Zion is tonight as he faces off against Carrick Price.

Once at the prep point Zion removes his obnoxious blue furry cookie monster hat, along with his black ‘KINGS BOXING’ hoodie. He steps out of his Adidas track pants and shoes, down to his black and gold trunks. One of his team members slips in his gold and black mouthguard with a squirt of water. Zion swishes, spits it out, then gives each of his team members a hug before stepping up to the cut man. From there the cut man applies vaseline to his face, Zion lightly swaying as he finishes the application. Once done he checks his mouthguard and gloves, then allows him to enter the cage.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Zion really didn’t have much to say coming into this fight, but I take it he’s one of the types that likes to let his actions speak for him. With KO power like that, he could speak very loudly tonight.

MARIA SCALETTA: He’s really going to have to do all he can to keep this fight standing. I have no doubt in my mind that he can catch Carrick, but he can’t do that if Carrick puts him on his back.

Zion does a quick run around the cage, showing off a few combos before settling into his corner. His crew massage his shoulders and give him a prep talk as he stares straight ahead at the curtain, waiting for his opposition to enter. As soon as his theme ends and is replaced with Carrick’s, Zion smiles and bats his gloves together.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Oh man, Zion can’t wait to get this fight started. I love seeing a debut fighter who doesn’t get nervous before his big fight.

MARIA SCALETTA: It’s all the experience he’s put down before even entering the cage. He’s used to that pressure, those lights, and that crowd.

‘Amazing Grace’ by Dropkick Murphys plays, getting a few cheers from the irish fans in attendance. Out through the curtains comes Carrick Price with his SlaughtaGym teammates following him. Carrick has a giant Irish flag draped across his shoulders as he walks out, getting an even bigger pop from the irish in attendance. He walks down the aisle with a scream, showing how amped he is for this fight.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Coming down is the rookie prodigy known as Carrick Price. Not a lot is known about this fighter other than the fact that he was invited by Jason Jackson to come and train with SlaughtaGym. Ever since then everyone at that gym is calling this kid the next big thing.

MARIA SCALETTA: Well you can’t blame them. I’ve only seen one amateur fight from the man, and I must say I’m impressed with his all around game. His strengths are BJJ and Karate, which make for a good, but unorthodox base for MMA.

Once they get to the prep point Carrick hands one of his teammates the irish flag, then removes his white ‘SlaughtaGym’ hoodie. He then removes his black Nike track pants and shoes before going to one of his teammates and being given his irish flag mouthguard. He inserts it with a squirt of water, swishing and spitting out the remainder. From there he gives hugs to his teammates, stopping to give a good one to the man that found him, Jason Jackson.

GAGE BENJAMIN: And there he is, Jason Jackson. The boss came out to wish him good luck, but he isn't cornering his fighter...out of fairness. Do you think that bothers Zion? That the boss walked out with the opponent?

MARIA SCALETTA: If anything it should be motivation. If you can knock out the boss’s golden boy, you deserve some attention.

Carrick makes his way up to the cut doc, giving out another scream before getting a face full of vaseline. The doc does a full round of his face, checks his mouthpiece, then checks his gloves. With him properly inspected, the doc sends him off to the cage, which he raises a fist to the crowd upon entering.

GAGE BENJAMIN: While he’s hiding it real well, you know Carrick has to be anxious heading into a fight like this. Zion isn’t afraid to take his head off and leads the experience edge.

MARIA SCALETTA: Carrick has trained hard for this fight with one of the best gyms around, and has the more well rounded skillset. We’ve seen before that just because you’re a pro in one sport, doesn’t mean you’ll transition properly to MMA. We’ll see if that’s the case with these young men tonight.

Carrick does a round about of the cage, ignoring the stares of Zion as he focuses on the capacity packed crowd. He goes to his corner, taking a deep breath as his team drapes the flag over his shoulders. They prep him for the upcoming fight, telling him pointers on how to come out the gate, and the camera focuses on a very intense looking Jason Jackson who takes a seat ringside.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Don't you think it's a little unfair that this kid LIVES and TRAINS with the chairman of this company?

MARIA SCALETTA: Jason, much like Jackson Magnum, has an eye for talent. He discovered this kid and gave him a shot, just like he's given Zion here tonight as well. The kid needed a place and the boss was there. Say what you want, but Jason Jackson cares about this sport and the future of it.

GAGE BENJAMIN: I can't argue that. With a whole slew of new signings… it looks like he's willing to give everyone a shot… if they earn it. Let's see if the golden boy earns his keep tonight

MARIA SCALETTA: Shut up Gage.

Carrick’s music silences, allowing the buzz of the crowd to be heard as announcer Louise Simone steps up to the mic. A spotlight shines down on her, bathing her in blue in the center of the dark cage. She looks out over the crowd with a gleaming white smile, ready to scream.

LOUISE SIMONE: Fighting out of the BLUE corner, this man is a BOXER! He has an MLC record of zero wins, zero losses. Tonight he weighs in at 155 pounds…..hailing from Brooklyn, New York….ZZZZZZZZZIIIIIIIIIOOOOOOOONNNNNNNN RRRRRRROOOGGGGGGERRRRRSSSS!!!!

Zion bares a big mouthguard smile at Carrick as he flashes his right fist at him. Nods of confidence come from Zion at the announcement of his name, leading him to step forward to Carrick, kiss his fist, then make a shooting motion at him.

LOUISE SIMONE: PRACTITIONER! He has an MLC record of zero wins, zero losses. Tonight he weighs in at 165 pounds, hailing from Belfast, Ireland….THHHHHHHEEEEEEE IIIIIIIRRRRRRRRIIIIIISSSSSSSHHHHHH SSSSSSUUUUUUPPPPPPEEEERRRRRMMMMMAAANNNNN, CAAAAAARRRRRRIIIIIICCCCKKKKKK PPPPPPRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIICCCCCEEEE!!!!

Carrick raises his hands up and closes his eyes, taking one last deep breath as his team continues to prep talk him. The lights go back on and the referee signals for both men to come to the center of the cage. Louise approaches the referee, allowing his words to be heard to the live audience.

Referee: You both have been briefed for the rules in the back. Obey my commands at all times, protect yourself at all times. Fight clean, if you want to touch gloves you may do so.

Zion stares at Carrick, pacing back and forth while Carrick keeps his eyes down. The two touch gloves then retreat back to their corners, awaiting the start of the fight. The referee checks with the timekeeper, making sure he’s prepared before signaling to both gentlemen. With a wave of a hand he gets this fight underway.

Posted Image

5:00: Both fighters come out of their corners to the center of the cage. Zion tries to get in some offense right away with pawing jabs, Carrick doing his best keep away from those traps. Carrick throws a timing snap high kick his way, trying to gauge Zion’s distance. Zion swats away at the foot and presses in, trying to cut off the cage as Carrick backs up. Right when Zion thinks he has him where he wants him, he races forward with a big hook that luckily hits the cage as Carrick dodges! Carrick wraps him up in a single tie clinch, doing his best to keep Zion from landing those bombs.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Carrick has Zion temporarily tied up and is doing a good job of avoiding those shots. However at the same time he’s allowing Zion to control the cage.

MARIA SCALETTA: This could very well be to Carrick’s advantage. Maybe he has a plan involving the cage.

4:27: Zion goes to throw two uppercuts but they’re blocked by Carrick. Carrick is then able to flip around Zion on the cage and press his head into his chest. Zion tries to roll out but it’s useless as Carrick bares down his weight on him to sap his energy. Zion once again tries to power out but Carrick slides right back in, maneuvering him against the cage. Carrick drops levels just as Zion goes for a body hook, sweeping him to his butt with a takedown! The crowd cheers as Zion is trying to stand up, even accidentally grabbing the cage and getting a light warning from the ref.

MARIA SCALETTA: Now the moment of truth. Can the boxer find his way to his feet?

GAGE BENJAMIN: Well if he’s reaching for the cage to stand, that’s not a good sign. Thankfully the ref is showing him leeway being this is first professional fight.

3:38: Somehow Zion is able to push back up to his feet without use of the cage, but Carrick is still on him. Luckily for Zion the referee steps in and calls for a break, getting the fans to cheer. The two fighters reset, the ref waves his hand, and they fight. Zion is much more aggressive this time out, stepping in with a 1-2 body hook combo then catching Carrick with a big left bomb to the chin! The crowd is on their feet as Carrick backpedals to the cage, not even wanting to feel that big blow again. Zion comes in for the kill with a big smile, and darts forward with a power right hook. Luckily for Carrick he’s able to drop down and hit a double, intercepting that shot and putting Zion on the defense. Carrick is nearly successful in his takedown, stumbling around Zion until he finally shrugs him off.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Zion has landed some punishing blows right off that reset. Carrick needs to do his best to protect his head at this point.

MARIA SCALETTA: If he doesn’t find time to clean out the cobwebs, Zion will clean his clock.

2:58: A small trickle of blood comes down from Carrick’s nose as he rounds Zion. Zion paws away with confident jabs, several clapping the side of Carrick’s face. He shrugs off the blows and lands a three hit combo of his own, causing Zion to shake his head with disapproval. Zion rushes in with a blitzing combo but it’s cut off with a big leg kick from Carrick that nearly takes Zion off of his feet! Zion smiles to the stumble and comes back at Carrick, waving him on. Zion bunches down and launches forward with an uppercut, grazing Carrick’s chin to “OHHH!!!”s from the crowd. Carrick is quick to push kick him in the chest, knocking him back a few feet.

GAGE BENJAMIN: If that shot landed, it very well could have put out Carrick!

MARIA SCALETTA: No doubt about that. Carrick needs to stay away from those bombs and find a way to put Zion on his back.

2:36: Carrick tries thwarting another blitz from Zion with a big swinging roundhouse kick, getting Zion to back off to the oohs and ahhs of the crowd. The two circle with Carrick throwing out a leg kick to keep Zion at bay, followed by a couple jabs that hit. Zion acts like they never did and presses in with a jab-jab-right hook combo which Carrick ducks and locks up with Zion! He goes for a judo trip but Zion is able to shrug Carrick off in time, then hit him with a cracking body hook on the way out, making Carrick wince!

GAGE BENJAMIN: Nice shot from Zion! As good as Carrick’s cardio is, if he catches too many of those body hooks he’s gonna run out of gas real quick.

MARIA SCALETTA: I honestly don’t even know why Carrick is trying to stand with this guy when he should be pursuing the takedown.

1:53: Zion smiles and presses in, getting the hurt Carrick to retreat. Zion rushes in with a cross to close the distance, which Carrick is able to step to the side. However that leaves him open for a clinch from Zion, followed by a couple short shots to the body. Carrick shoves Zion out of it then goes a push kick to the chest right away, getting him to back off. An oblique kick hits his opposite leg, getting him to grimace. Out of frustration Zion rushes forward with another big lunging uppercut, but he finds himself caught upside the head with a vicious left head kick from Carrick!! “OHHHH!!!”s from the crowd as Zion hits the mat looking dazed, and Carrick looks shocked he even caught him with it. Jason screams to finish!

GAGE BENJAMIN: YES WHAT JASON IS SAYING! YOU GOT HIM DOWN DO SOMETHING!!

MARIA SCALETTA: Oh the head kick, a boxer’s pet peeve.

1:05: Carrick snaps out of his shocked trance and dives in with a big punch, missing Zion but getting him in close! Within seconds Carrick is isolating an arm and locking his torso in place. Zion tries to slip his arm out, but Carrick has the hooks in. With a twist backward he applies the americana, making Zion scream out in pain before he’s forced to immediately tap out!!

GAGE BENJAMIN: AND THERE’S THE FINISH!! WHAT A SLICK AMERICANA TO END THIS!!

MARIA SCALETTA: You gotta give Carrick credit though for striking with a much more dangerous striker and knocking down en route to victory!

GAGE BENJAMIN: I do give him credit, I figured he’d be too nervous to stand and trade with a former professional boxer.

The teams enter the cage, with a clearly distraught Zion shouting angrily at himself as his team consoles him. Carrick goes over first thing and pats Zion on the back, letting him know this was a good fight. Zion gives him a hug, nods, then looks down to the ground as the trainers prep their men with merch for the announcement. After a couple highlight replays of the head kick and americana, we go to the center of the cage where the fighters await the official decision.

LOUISE SIMONE: The referee has called a stop to this contest at four minutes, five seconds of the first round. Your winner by way of SUBMISSION, CAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRIIIIIICCCCCCKKKKKK PPPPRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIICCCCCEEEEE!!!!!

Carrick looks overjoyed over his debut victory, yet still takes time out to give Zion another hug. The dejected Zion leaves with his team as Carrick hops atop the fence, waving the irish flag proudly to the crowd.

Daniel Fisk versus Cody Davis
Favorite: Daniel FiskUnderdog: Cody DavisWeight Limit: 210 lbs or Less

MARIA SCALETTA: Next up we have a battle of two men who are surely going to be looking for the knock out.

GAGE BENJAMIN: You know it’s interesting, Maria. The things that these two well, and the areas of their game that they struggle with, are nearly identical. Both men are solid strikers, although I think Fisk has proven himself a bit more. And both men have a desire to keep things standing.

MARIA SCALETTA: Undoubtedly, and both men take great pride in their cardio and in their ability to outlast the person standing across from them. Where the concern has to be for Cody is that Daniel Fisk stands taller than he does, and outweighs him by ninety pounds.

GAGE BENJAMIN: It’s no surprise that Fisk is the favorite coming into this fight. We all saw what he did to Byron McCall. And Cody has a tendency to try and use his reach to his advantage. Fisk eliminates that advantage undoubtedly.

MARIA SCALETTA: This one has all the potential to turn into an all out war, the sort of blood bath that the fans love to witness where two people stand toe to toe and just swing for the fences looking to take each others heads off. That’s not necessarily the best for career longevity, but it brings in the ratings.

As Maria and Gage continue to chat the lights around the building begin to flicker and flash as Cody Davis emerges from the tunnel, the men occupying his corner surrounding him as he bobs his head to the electronic beat that reverberates throughout the arena. As he walks he jabs his fists forward gently as the fans give him polite applause, anxious for the third bout of the night to get underway. There’s no question he has some support in the crowd judging by the smattering of cheers, but the majority of those in attendance seem to be waiting for his opponent to come out.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Cody Davis looks to be all business tonight. Focused and ready to go. At one and one, coming off of a knock out of the night at MLC Fight Night Four against Dior Johnson, you expect him to be coming into this fight fresh and ready to pick up where he left off.

As he reaches the outside of the octagon he pauses as the referee comes and looks him over carefully. While the referee does so he reminds him of the general rules of the fight, applies the petroleum jelly to Cody’s face, and then wishes him luck before motioning for him to enter into the cage as his corner moves around the outside to find their place. Raising both of his hands in the air, Cody jogs around the edge of the cage before coming to a stop in his corner, bouncing back and forth on his feet, throwing punches into the air briefly before one more raising his right hand in the air as he was announced.

MARIA SCALETTA: Well they say styles make fights. I’m just not sure Cody knows what he’s gotten himself into with this one.

Before Maria can say much else the lights dim and then begin to flicker and flash once more as “Run Ricky Run” by Manolo Rose blares over the public address system. Around the arena fans erupt, some booing and some cheering but all on their feet making as much noise as they could. Slowly, from backstage, Daniel Fisk begins his long walk to the cage. The camera’s follow him closely and those paying attention notice a slight smile form on his lips as he hears the reaction of the fans. As soon as he gets out of the tunnel and into the arena his pace moves from a slow walk to a brisk jog down to ringside. Much like the referee had done with Cody moments earlier, he goes over the rules and through the usual pre-fight routine before motioning for Fisk to enter into the cage, following him in closely behind. Fisk pays no mind to Cody as he jogs passed him in a circle around the Octagon before stopping in his corner. Once he’s settled in Louise steps to the middle of the octagon and brings a microphone up to her mouth.

LOUISE SIMONE: Ladies and gentlemen our third fight of the evening is scheduled for three five minute rounds. Introducing first…. FIIIIIIGHTING OUT OF THE BLUE CORNER! Standing Six Feet Four inches tall and weighing in at one hundred and sixty five pounds. He is a kickboxer and Muay Thai practitioner. Fighting out CLEEEVELAND, OHIO! HE is… COOOOODY…. THE G COOOOOOODE… DAAAAAAVVVVVIIIIISSSSSSSS!!!!!

The crowd applauds as he throws a few punches toward the camera and then nods his head, holding his right fist up in the air.

LOUISE SIMONE: And his opponent…. FIIIIIIIIIGHTING OUT OF THE RED CORNER! Standing Six Feet Five Inches tall and weighing in at two hundred and fifty four pounds. He is a boxer who employs greco-roman wrestling. Fighting out of Brooklyn, New York. He is DAAAAANIEEEELLLLLLL……. 44….. FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSKKKKKK!!!!

Once more the crowd erupts as Fisk smiles for the camera and makes a slashing motion across his throat, telling all those watching at home that it was over already. The referee then brings both men to the center of the octagon and quickly reviews the rules and instructs them to have a fair fight and that they could touch gloves if they so chose. Both men do before backing to their corners and preparing for the fight to begin.

5:00 Cody comes out of the blue corner with urgency, throwing his jab early on to get a feel for his reach, causing Fisk to step back out of his range, sizing up his opponent and looking for an opening. Davis continues to press forward, cutting Fisk off and lacing a brutal inside kick to Fisks right knee. It doesn’t stumble him but Fisk isn’t able to fully check it and the sting of the initial kick is evident as he gingerly touches his foot back down to the canvas, throwing a quick one-two jab combo that forces Cody to back off and return to the more central area of the ring. When Fisk steps forward, Cody again thrusts a jab out, which Fisk expertly avoids and connects on a vicious right uppercut that Davis only barely manages to avoid catching fully on the chin. A knowing smile crosses the face of Daniel Fisk as Davis retreats, putting distance between the two of them.

MARIA SCALETTA: Nothing of any real merit here early on in the fight but you could see just how seriously Cody Davis is taking the striking power of Daniel Fisk.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Indeed but Davis is doing what he needs to, pressing Fisk into action and not simply sitting back and letting him bring the fight to him

4:13 The initial pressure from Cody fades after nearly catching the uppercut moments earlier from Fisk. Instead Cody makes the decision to rely on counter punching, waving with both hands for Fisk to bring it on. The crowd cheers at Cody’s insistence which only fuels Fisk and his desire to put on a show. Pressing forward, Fisk throws a jab of his own but then catches Davis off guard, shooting in for a single leg takedown, wrapping Cody up quickly and driving him backward into the cage. Defensively, pressed up against the cage, Cody retaliates by trying to fire knees while fighting for position but as he does so he eats two brutal right hands to the body that force him to take on a more defensive strategy.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Well everything we thought about this fight, at least early on, can be thrown out the window. We figured these two men would stand face to face and see who could knock the other out. But instead Fisk has already tried to take the fight to the ground.

MARIA SCALETTA: And really Davis, at least at the get go, was the more aggressive fighter. It will be interesting to see if either of these two revert to their typical styles as the fight progresses.

3:31 Fisk seems content to try to wear Cody down as the round progresses, keeping him pinned against the cage and making him work while continuing to land body shots when an opening presents itself. Finally, Fisk pushes himself away from Cody, giving brief separation before swinging across with a left elbow that connects flush with Cody’s chin, causing his legs to wobble. Daniel is immediately back in the drivers seat, pouncing like a predator going in for the killing blow but Davis manages to avoid him, quickly back peddling away and trying to put as much distance between himself and Daniel Fisk as he recovers. Steadying himself on the opposite side of the cage, Cody steps forward as Fisk applies pressure once more. Perhaps out of desperation Cody fires off another one two combination that misses but leaves Fisk open to another inside leg kick that nearly causes Fisks knee to buckle.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Cody Davis is lucky to still be in this fight. If Fisk would have gotten his hands on him again after that elbow it was game over.

MARIA SCALETTA: I’d like to see Cody continue to use those jabs to open up that inside leg kick. He needs to avoid standing and trading with Fisk and rely on his kickboxing background. Eventually those kicks will slow down the aggression of Daniel Fisk if he manage to hold on that long.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Patting his mitts together, Cody draws Fisk into range and bobs and weaves of way of a left jab, right hook combo from Fisk, snapping off another inside leg kick, the skin on the inside of Fisks thigh starting to show a bit of redness to it. Davis uses the opening to connects with two quick right jabs that backs Fisk up a few steps. Again Fisk throws but Davis deftly dodges, stepping inside Fisks range and tying him up with double underhooks, driving him back against the cage and reversing the earlier positioning. The two jostle for advantage in the clinch with Davis using his knees to his advantage while advancing in his posture. Eventually he manages to get both of his hands around the back of Fisks head, pulling him down violently as his right knee came upward, catching Fisk flush on the bridge of his nose. With nowhere to go, Fisk does his best to cover as Davis unleashes a flurry of rights and lefts. One right hook connects but is countered by a brutal uppercut from Fisk.

GAGE BENJAMIN: NOW THESE TWO ARE JUST ABSOLUTELY THROWING AT EACH OTHER!

MARIA SCALETTA: I don’t know how either of these men are standing after that exchange.

1:29 Across the bridge of Fisks nose is a slight cut, likely from the Muay Thai knee that Davis had nailed him with. In the same like, Davis right eye is showing signs of swelling from where Fisks elbow had connected when he had him pinned against the cage. Both men have smiles on their faces as they meet in the center of the ring. Rights and lefts fly from both men, but neither really landing anything of significance. Davis once more throws a one two combination of a right and left jab that leaves fisk expecting the inside leg kick that he had followed up with, causing Daniel to drop his hands and prepare to avoid that only to catch a high head kick that knocks him down onto his backside, sending him scrambling away.

GAGE BENJAMIN: HOLY SH-... WOW! CODY DAVIS JUST CAUGHT DANIEL FISK WITH A HIGH HEAD KICK!

:30 Davis, sensing the opportunity, dives at Fisk looking to land a hammerfist but missing as Fisk moves his head at the last moment, drawing Davis into his guard. Both men know that they aren’t about to spend much time on the ground in their current positions so Davis stands back up and once more waves his hands at Fisk, telling him to get up as the final seconds of the first round began to tick down.

MARIA SCALETTA: Slow early on but this has been an absolutely scintillating first round. Knock downs, a number of significant strikes. It’s hard to say whose fight this is at the moment.

:10 Fisk stands back up and moves to the middle of the ring. One more exchange in made between the two fighters before time runs out in the first round and both men touch gloves with smiles on their faces before returning to their corners.

As Fisk finds his place on the stool his corner begins to treat the small cut on the bridge of his nose while giving him instructions to be more aggressive in the next round and to be looking for Davis to look to land another head kick like he had in the first round. If he throws it they tell him to shoot in, take him down and then finish the fight then and there. Across the ring Cody Davis and his corner look to stop the swelling in his eye while encouraging him to continue doing what he’s doing. Look to counter Fisks big strikes, continue to use the inside leg kicks to keep him at bay, and take advantage of opportunities when they present themselves. They tell him eventually Fisk will tire out if he just avoids the big punches, and when Fisk tires the fight will be his to put away for good.

5:00 The second round begins entirely differently than the first, with Fisk quickly moving to the center of the octagon, pressuring Davis early on. He throws a left jab, right hook that Cody deals with nicely before trying to retaliate with an inside leg kick. Fisk, expecting it, checks it and catches Davis on the button with a straight right hand that drops him to a knee. Before Fisk can attack he pushes himself back up to his feet and backs up but Daniel leaves him no room to breathe, pressuring him quickly and pushing him against the cage once more.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Far more aggressive Daniel Fisk to start the second.

MARIA SCALETTA: Well you heard his corner in between rounds telling him to be more aggressive and that’s exactly what he’s done. The most successful fighters will always listen and apply the advice given to them in between rounds. And that’s why Cody Davis finds himself in trouble.

4:22 And in trouble did he ever find himself. Not wasting any time struggling for position this time, Fisk pushes away from Davis and then unloads with consecutive right hands to the body, causing Davis to drop his. Immediately the crowd buzzed and it was almost as if Fisks eyes lit up at the sight in front of him. A wide open chin from him to unload a nasty right hook onto, snapping Cody’s head to the side as his legs gave out from over him.

GAGE BENJAMIN: DAVIS IN BIG TROUBLE NOW!

3:55 With Davis on his hands and knees, trying to scramble away, Fisk takes his back and swings hard rights and lefts that connect over and over again. With the referee watching closely Fisk continues to unload over and over again on Davis who seems to be fading. In some disbelief at what was happening, Fisk looked to the referee and held up his right hand as he landed another left, and then another right, as if to ask him if he was ever going to stop the fight. It takes two more strikes before the referee finally jumps in and separates the two men, sending Fisk back to his corner as the fight came to an end.

MARIA SCALETTA: And that right there is why Daniel Fisk is considered to be one of the most dangerous fighters in MLC today.

GAGE BENJAMIN: It was like we saw two entirely different fighters in the second round. That was the Daniel Fisk we expected. And just like we thought might happen, he overwhelmed Cody Davis with his sheer striking ability.

MARIA SCALETTA: There might not be a man or woman in this business who could take the kind of right hook that Cody took near the end of the fight there and not be knocked out cold. You have to give him some credit for being able to absorb that and keep fighting.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Indeed. But you can already begin to guess that there are some who might question the referee’s decision to let the fight continue as long as it did. You saw Fisks face, even he was asking when the referee was going to put an end to it.

MARIA SCALETTA: Undoubtedly, he gave Cody every opportunity to show that he was actively defending himself. But in the end Daniel Fisk and his raw power were just too much for him to withstand.

After Cody was given some time to recover and was checked over by medical personel, his face showing evidence of the strikes he had absorbed at the end, the referee drew both fighters to the center of the Octagon as Louise Simone announced the result of the match.

LOUISE SIMONE: Ladies and gentlemen, the referee has called a stop to this fight with three minutes and fifty five seconds left in the second round. You winner by Technical Knockout… DANNNNNIIIIEEEEELLLLLL….. 44…. FFFFFIIIIIIISSSSSSKKKKKKK!!!!

The crowd explodes as the referee raises Fisks hand in the air as the winner. Daniel smirks and turns to look at Cody, but is hit by a hard sucker punch courtesy of the losing fighter. The crowd boos loudly as the cage erupts in chaos, both teams clashing in a brawl.

Seemingly out of nowhere, Jason Jackson pushes through the crowd, throwing his suit jacket to the ground in a rage. Without warning, he scoops up Davis from behind and slams him viciously with a german suplex.

The crowd gasps out as the chairman lands on top of cody and sinks in a choke hold, holding the aggressor until the police make their way over to take him into custody.

The camera cuts to a view of Gage and Maria who look absolutely shook, before a video package for the next fight begins.

Elena Nguyen versus Bree Geneva
Favorite: Elena NguyenUnderdog: Bree GenevaWeight Limit: 120 lbs or Less

MARIA SCALETTA: No doubt. I hope you're ready for a stand up war because two of the toughest women in the business are aet for war!!

GAGE BENJAMIN: Damn right they are! Don't blink... This one could be over fast!

MARIA SCALETTA: Let's head dowm for the introductions and the tale of the tape

Elena steps out into the middle giving a smile to Vegas.

MARIA SCALETTA: Looking sooo forward to this one.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Lets get it gooing!!

Posted Image

5:00 The respect between the two is obvious as they slowly come to the middle and they give each other the quick dap slap on the gloves. Both are wearing smiles through their mouthpieces looking forward to this fight since the signing day of the contract. They both are hard working fighters on the come up and they both know the MLC and fans alike are in for a treat. The crowd gives them both love with cheers and hoots and whistles as the boxer in Geneva shorts up toward the Tae Kwon Do base of Elena Nguyen. Immediately and catching Bree off guard slightly Elena beings using her reach with a few leg kicks low hitting Bree in the inside of her right leg. Bree comes forward shockingly after the line of kicks not taking away from her progression trying to get inside of Elena’s reach getting a good jab in which snaps Elena’s head back. In reply Elena jabs right back letting Bree quickly know the stand up game is prime and ready.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Mutual respect given right now.

MARIA SCALETTA: This has proven to be what everyone expected so far… a stand up showcase. Both of these women are super talented.

4:34 Bree smirks in reply to her head snapping back quickly and chooses to remain close instead of having to work twice as hard to get back into the same space. Geneva dips a bit and comes up with a right uppercut and a left hook making Elena feel her thoroughly. The crowd ohh’s the hard stiff shots as Nguyen eats them and backs up a bit looking to keep the space in her benefit. Doing so helps her to size Bree back up as her long legs feinting a punch forward follows it with another kick inside the leg of Geneva once again. This kick causing Bree to show the first sign of discomfort bringing her leg back with a hiss through her mouth guard. The toughness of the boxer showing through though as shortly after the hiss she’s coming right back toward Nguyen again keeping the pressure knowing the distance only works for Elena’s benefit. Geneva comes forward circling toward Nguyen and Nguyen jumps up looking for the flashiness starting to feel comfortable already. Geneva easily blocks the jumping roundhouse kick and comes back quick this time with a left uppercut causing complete hell for Elena as she lands on her feet but is almost knocked right off of them as the uppercut lands from Bree. Elena is a little wobbly from that as Bree swings a hook toward but hits nothing but air as Elena is working on getting the hell out of dodge not wanting any follow up shots after the uppercut.

MARIA SCALETTA: OOOOH BIG UPPERCUT BY BREE!!

GAGE BENJAMIN: Elena is known for being flashy and entertaining but one has to wonder if it will land her in trouble here against Geneva.

3:59 Bree moves quick pressing forward wanting to continue the wobble show of Elena’s legs but the crafty Hawaiian doesn’t even allow it as she recuperates and gathers her stance again giving a jab here and there to keep Bree honest and distant. Geneva continues walking Nguyen down though the scrappy New Jerseyan still wanting more. She gets it with straight to the midsection from Nguyen, the level change catching Bree off guard but not deterring her as she returns with a overhand right that hits Elena. The contact isn’t flush but it is definitely strong enough for make the Team Penn fighter think twice about the possibility of them trading back and forth. Bree comes forward still following with a left hand that Nguyen weaves out of the way of...BAM...Nguyen with a right hand in return getting into the midsection of Geneva. Bree stalls for a moment and Nguyen takes advantage of that moment to back up a bit looking and going with a spin forward... Geneva backs all the way back quickly saying fuck that completely and Nguyen stops her spinning motion seeing her reach not able to go nearly that far.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Body hunting by the Hawaiian here. She's landing well to the midsection, draining the air from Bree’s lungs.

MARIA SCALETTA: Elena loaded up for another spin attack there. She really has to be careful, but this one seemed to put Bree on her bicycle. She got the hell outta dodge

3:31 Elena smirks at Bree’s backing motion giving her a nod. Bree circles around Elena at that point the camera’s catching her mouth speaking over her mouthpiece in the distance saying something to the effect of “You know it won’t be that easy.” out toward Elena. In response Elena’s smirk grows to a smile as they start shortening the distance toward each other. Nguyen gives a quick reply of “I know” and after the smile and they meet in the middle of the cage.

GAGE BENJAMIN: They're talking to each other here!! Bree is right though Maria. It's going to take a lot more than a luck of the draw spinning back kick. Set that shit up!

MARIA SCALETTA: With another high level striker standing across from you… you've gotta know that the flashy stuff just might not work.

3:20 Bree rounds out looking to get inside again and Elena slightly backs up since she has the space to do so. Both throw at the same time Bree with a hard straight and Elena with a menacing low kick looking to get that inside of the leg again. Bree hits her target as her inside step actually causes Elena to hit more of the outer meat of her leg. Elena’s head responses to the hit and a light blood trickle starts from her nose. Far from drastic but it is noticeable by the ref and crowd alike.

MARIA SCALETTA: that kick had to sting Gage. Nguyen has lighting kicks, and those low kicks will really put a limp in your step.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Yeah, but take note. That straight landed as well and Elena is bleeding a little from the nose. Not enough to make a difference at this point, but she really needs to keep her hands up and move her head.

3:09 Bree’s aggressiveness picks up at the sight of the small trickle of blood as Elena quickly swipes it off from the top of her lip. Bree starts to walk her down again but this time Elena is getting a little more comfortable in keeping the close quarters instead of going to her reach advantage. Nguyen holds her ground and before Bree can get within her range Nguyen throws a combo of hands toward Bree’s head. Bree blocks shots 1, 2, 3 bobbing and weaving in a very good motion while backing up but the kick Nguyen lands strikes her right in the abdomen making Geneva back up even more. The crowd increases their pitch at the sharp kick getting it’s direct hit. The kick causes Bree to take in a lot more air than usual and as she tries to recuperate Elena rushes forward looking to take advantage but…

GAGE BENJAMIN: GENEVA WITH A RARE KICK!!

MARIA SCALETTA: DIRECT HIT!!

2:22 With a rare showing the boxer shows her expanding skillset shocking the hell out of the rushing Nguyen with a high roundhouse kick. The kick surprises many but none more than Elena herself who felt she was on her way to an advantage only to be walking into a well timed kick. The crowd rising again as the back and forth stand up affair is truly worth the ticket.

MARIA SCALETTA: Now it’s Bree looking to capitalize.

GAGE BENJAMIN: She has to be just as careful, Elena can catch her just as well as she caught her.

2:06 Bree is a lot more cautious this time around knowing that Elena’s toughness is one to match right along with her own. Instead of rushing forward Bree circles in the direction Nguyen is going in shortening the time and moments later Bree’s back on the inside of Elena giving her the what for to her midsection with mean shots to the body making Elena wince. By the third direct hit Elena actually pulls Bree in closer in a clinch.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Elena saying forget the reach advantage. Anything to stop those body shots from Geneva.

MARIA SCALETTA: As small a stature as Bree has there is some undeniable power in her hands.

1:49 Inside the clinch both are playing the hands game jockeying for the better position on the inside. They aren’t throwing as many shots at this point but the movement picks up as Elena pushes against Bree looking to take her to the cage wall and having that at her advantage. The momentum turns against her though as they approach the cage Bree whips Elena spinning her back to the cage wall and sticking close in the clinch and on cue Bree gives a couple more shots to the midsection ripping a hand free when she can to hook Nguyen low. Elena’s face tells the story well as she grits her teeth against her mouthpiece and slides out once Bree’s hands aren’t as focused on the clinch and more focused on the shots. The damage is seen by the eye as Elena’s side is bruising. The fast pace between the both of them continues though as Elena comes back from getting out from against the wall and throws her own right hand that Bree blocks and tries to fire back with a uppercut, Elena weaves back from that danger and the flashy and free comes right back to the forefront...throwing her leg up high and Bree backs up thinking she’s safe until Elena keeps her balance and hop forward on her pivot foot bringing that leg back down.

MARIA SCALETTA: What an axe kick!

GAGE BENJAMIN: Wa...was that even considered an axe kick?

1:17 Bree is taken back by the kick. More than that even. Elena showing her skill and balance by keeping her posture and position. The last minute crossing the time clock and with a wipe of her nose Elena presses forward with Bree following suit. Meeting in the middle and going right to it without a care in the world. The Las Vegas crowd start blowing the roof off as Bree throws her two piece combo and winces in response to Elena’s low kick dead to the inside of her leg which has since turned the color it shouldn’t be. The trickle of blood from Elena’s nose becoming more of a runner now as a couple more jabs find their target on Elena’s face. Bree keeps standing in front of her blocking the high kick from Elena and following that with the low hook to Nguyen’s stomach which lands. This last minute is a complete standing war with neither woman standing down worth a damn and each taking as good as they are giving. The ‘clack clack clack’ of the last few seconds of the round hits.

MARIA SCALETTA: This will not be a three round fight at this rate.

GAGE BENJAMIN: t won’t be a second round fight they continue lik...Bree with the right as the bell rings!!

MARIA SCALETTA: Late shot?

Some in the crowd boo the timing of the shot but it’s evident that Bree threw the shot long before the bell hits. Elena nods toward Bree as Bree lightly taps the side of her head with her MLC glove. They walk toward their corners as the replays of the fast paced round show on the screens. Bree getting her talking to from her Slaughterhouse team while Elena is getting her nose taking care of and is focused looking in the eyes of her gym Team Penn. Time passes as Bree comes to a stand first out of her seat shortly followed by Elena and the ref signaling for both of them to get ready for the second round.

Posted Image

5:00 Both walk in getting into their stances quickly and Bree comes out on the aggressive side throwing a 1-3 combo while moving in. Elena is a bit more sharper to Bree’s aggressive nature and slips to the side out of harms way and catches Bree with a leg kick that nearly makes Bree fall due to her momentum forward. Bree catches herself after the kick and nods a challenging “ok” to the moment coming right back for Elena toward the middle. Time passes for a little while as Bree looks to get closer and Elena throws good jabs and straights as Bree tries to approach and moving out. The counter nature of the Hawaiian on display in the beginning of round two.

MARIA SCALETTA: Good LORD another hard leg kick lands from Nguyen. Like I said, her kicks are lethal… now she wants to chop her opponent down

GAGE BENJAMIN: Elena Countering well to begin the round. Her corner must have told her to move her damn head and keep her hands up.

4:28 Elena keeps the momentum going stepping forward this time throwing a right hook and a kick to the body. The hook doesn’t land but the body kick lands well and Bree circles out feeling the kick. Elena feints going with a low kick and then throws a hook of her own Bree slips back from the punch and throws a right uppercut to Elena’s body that hit and follows that up with a left hook to the body making Elena hop a bit after feeling it land. The crowd getting louder at the action as Elena tries to bounce back throwing a kick of her own still trying to reach more real estate space in the cage. The kick doesn’t land as Bree continue pressing forward but Elena follows that with a front kick almost looking like a push kick how it pushes Bree back as gets Nguyen room. She takes the reach once again and throws another snapping leg kick to the outside of Bree’s leg and Bree impressively checks it.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Bree checked that one. Smart strategy. You can't continue to eat those and hope to keep going. Her leg is red and swollen now and you can bet her mobility will start to suffer if it continues to swell.

MARIA SCALETTA: Bree is trying to control the pace and win points for aggression but she is getting lit up here in the second. She needs to counter punch. Don't worry about being first! Make Elena miss and make her pay

3:54 Bree takes advantage once getting inside. She checks the kick and puts more paws on Elena with a straight looking for the hook to follow but Elena sways away from that and comes right back hitting Bree with a jab-jab. Then they are off to the races taking a similar pace as the first round firing and taking shots with the crowd getting loud. Bree gets the better of the close encounter getting a few more strikes up toward the head which makes Elena shoot up with a desperation jumping knee!! LANDS LIKE A DREAM!!

MARIA SCALETTA: ELENA WITH THE KNEE!!

GAGE BENJAMIN: OOOHH BREE FELT THAT ONE!!

3:11 Bree is on a heavy wobble backing away from the knee but Elena doesn’t stop there even though SHE’S looking halfway out on her feet as well. Bree looks up after attempting to get her balance and she meets another high kick from Elena and her continuing attack seeing blood in the water. She lands from the high kick to jump right back up in the air while spinning to land…

GAGE BENJAMIN: Beautiful spinning hook kick!!

MARIA SCALETTA: Sends Bree right to the cage, she won’t go down she’s leaning on it.

2:49 As Elena comes in half sprint half wobble for more the ref comes in after seeing Bree is not down but is leaning against the cage hands completely down not defending at all. It was plain to see it would have went from bad to worse so he ref waves Elena off and she can’t even fully celebrate yet...she was still trying to get her legs under her. Finally, it clicks in as medical personnel assist a now sitting Bree Geneva as Elena starts to lightly celebrate.

Bree is able to come to the middle of the cage as the ref holds both wrists as Louise Simone.

LOUISE SIMONE: Ladies and gentlemen… the referee has called a stop to this contest at 2 minutes 11 seconds of the second round. Your winner by way of TKO!!!.....EELLLEENNNAAAA NGGUYEEEENNN!

Navorro Williams versus BAD ASS
Favorite: Navorro WilliamsUnderdog: BAD ASSWeight Limit: 170 lbs or Less

GAGE BENJAMIN: What a WAR from those two ladies!! They promised a show, and they delivered! Next up are two men who will do doubt do the same!

MARIA SCALETTA: These men never put on a boring fight! We are all set for the Co-Main event of the evening and as you've seen tonight... Anything can happen

GAGE BENJAMIN: Indeed it can... I think we're all even on our predictions too Maria! Let's strap in and watch my boy Badass get it done once again!

MARIA SCALETTA: Strap in indeed! Hurricane Vo warning! Haha. Let's take it down for the tale of the tape!

Posted Image

LOUISE SIMONE: This is your CO-MAIN EVENT OF THE EVENING!! We are scheduled for three rounds of mixed martial arts madness!! Brought to you by the eVolve network and Underground Comics and games!!!

Both fighters pace back and forth, staring down one another while getting loose. Badass throws some shadow knees and elbows while Navorro shows off his So-Vo mouthpiece to the camera.

LOUISE SIMONE: Introducing first!! In the bluuuuuue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, California. This man is a Cordeiro Muay Thai fighter representing Alliance MMA. He stands 6’1” and weighed in for this bout at 175 pounds!!.....He is…..BAAAD AAAAASSSSSSS!!

The crowd comes alive, showing support for Badass being in his first Co-Main event. Badass bows to the crowd and once more for the camera.

LOUISE SIMONE: And his opponent...In the red corner, This fighter is a Wrestler and submission technician, who represents THRONE MMA. He weighed in tonight at 170 pounds and stands 5’10”, fighting out of Las Vegas Nevada… the CGFC IMPERIAL CHAMPION!!! LADIES AND GENTLEMEN... NAAAAAVOOOOROOO "SOOOOVOOO" WIIIIIIILLLLLLLIIIIAMS!

The crowd gives a mixed reaction, as usual and Navorro blows them a kiss before flipping them off.

The referee shakes his head and calls both men to the middle for the instructions.

The stare down is intense as both look to get into each other's head before the bell, however they still touch gloves before stepping back to their corners to start the fight.

Posted Image

5:00 The bell rings and Badass comes flying out of his corner like a bat out of hell. He tries for a flying knee, but Vo steps out of the way and Badass bounces off the chainlink, almost losing his balance. Navorro looks to capitalize, and traps the muay thai fighter against the cage as he uncorks a beautiful 5 punch combo, alternating the shots from body to head. Badass covers up his head well but a few hooks dig into his body, causing a look of discomfort on his face

MARIA SCALETTA: Badass came out of his corner like a rocket to start this fight Gage, but it looks like it's gonna cost him here as his back is now to the wall.. literally.

GAGE BENJAMIN: That knee took out Matt Shields and sent him packing from MMA Maria, I'd throw it too. I'd like to see him pummel for position here and turn the tables… and for godssake SET THAT KNEE UP! You're not gonna get a hail mary on someone like Navorro Williams. That's for sure.

MARIA SCALETTA: Absolutely correct. He is a champion for a reason. Maybe the nerves of Badass will prove to be a problem under the pressure of co-main eventing.

4:36 B.A. weathers the big shots to the body from Williams, and eventually he finds himself in a clinch battle that puts him in momentary control. Turning his body, Badass puts the grappler’s back against the fence and begins paying Vo back for the punches with some vicious clench knees. One of them finds it's way home cleanly, landing on the chin of 'So-Vo’. The crowd erupts as the fighter's legs buckle, but Navorro recovers quickly and shoots hard for a takedown that he secures out of sheer determination.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Oh how the tides have changed! Badass was written off coming into this fight… now he's put Navorro in a baaaad position early on. He's carrying his weight right now.

MARIA SCALETTA: That's true, but now we're going to see if he can survive. One takedown and now this fight is in Navorro's world. He's going to look to set up a submission attempt and end this thing early.

3:45 The two scramble for position on the ground for a few seconds before ending up in Badass’ closed guard. Vo lands a few shots to the body to soften him up, then postures up quick to drop a hard elbow towards his head. B.A. is prepared however, and sways his head to let 'So-Vo’ elbow the canvas instead.

Thud!

3:15 Before Navorro has time to react, Badass loops his arm around and sits up, sweeping Vo onto his back quickly. The crowd hits it's feet with a roar as Badass tees off with ground and pound from half guard, forcing Williams to cover up and look for an escape.

GAGE BENJAMIN: WILLIAMS IN TROUBLE AGAIN HERE!

MARIA SCALETTA: Badass is proving that he belongs here. Win or lose, without a shadow of a doubt… he belongs here. In the top of the card, in the top 10, this kid has heart.

GAGE BENJAMIN: So does Navorro Williams though, and he's showing it as he survives these vicious shots here. The ref just told him he had to show him some action though… so this one might be about over if he…

2:52 Heeding the referee’s warning, Navorro instantly goes to work. Turning himself quickly, he times Badass’ swing and shrimps out, taking his opponent's back in one fluid motion. Badass stands quickly before So-Vo can get his hooks in and tries to flee, but Williams keeps his arms locked around his abdomen and sticks with him. A quick trip takedown brings the fight back to the ground with authority and this time Vo sinks in his hooks.

MARIA SCALETTA: Yet again the tables turn in this fight. Yet again, one of these men are in a prime position to close the show. WHAT A FIGHT.

GAGE BENJAMIN: What a job by Williams to stay with that body clench and secure the trip. He's got his hooks in now, and it's going to be harder for Badass to escape danger.

MARIA SCALETTA: Darth Grippa has nasty chokes, but Badass looks fully aware as he defends well here. For a Muay Thai fighter, he's really holding his own in the grappling fare.

2:07 The fight seems to stall out a bit in this position as Vo fights to get an arm under the chin of B.A. He mixes in punches to the head, and a few hard elbows to the collarbone of the L.A. native but the defense stands as Badass rolls and puts Navorro’s back on the mat. Badass catches a break, as Vo loses one of the hooks in the scramble, and soon he turns and finds himself in Vo’s guard... closing in on the last minute of the round.

MARIA SCALETTA: This crowd is going nuts! These guys are running full throttle! Badass claimed that he would be able to hang no matter where this fight went and he is damn well backing it up.

GAGE BENJAMIN: How much has all this grappling affected his gas tank though? He seems to be stalling in the guard here, sucking air… that's the last thing you want to do right now.

:53 Taking a few more lungs full of air, Badass gets his second wind and pushes himself up off the ground quickly. The crowd nearly blows the roof off when he steps back and motions Vo to stand up. Smirking, Navorro kips up and rushes in quickly, throwing a lead uppercut followed by a right straight power shot. The punch catches Badass at an awkward angle along his cheekbone and opens a cut but he doesn't seem phased at all as he answers back with what seems like an uncharacteristic sloppy left hook. A wince can be seen on badass’ face as he misses big and gets hit with a counter hook from Williams that wobbles him as seconds tick down.

MARIA SCALETTA: OH he is stunned!! Vo rung his bell with that one Gage.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Yeah, something seems off with the left arm of Badass here. I wonder if those elbows to the shoulder might have really hurt him Maria.

:20 Badass shakes off the cobwebs and ducks under a hard hook from Vo. He answers with a vicious right elbow that sends Williams crashing backwards on his ass. *Clap-Clap-Clap* The ten second warning rings out as badass charges forward and looks to dive on Navorro! A huge up kick connects to the shoulder of Badass at the horn and the Alliance fighter lets out a yell as he heads back toward his corner, holding his arm.

MARIA SCALETTA: WHAT A FIGHT! A lot of hype was put into the main event leading up to this fight, but these men are proving to the world that they belong in the spotlight too. Both are showing versatility and durability as they push each other to the brink.

GAGE BENJAMIN: I think that Badass has a broken collarbone. He's a one armed man in an ass kicking contest. It looks like the doctor is going to come in and check it out.

The camera shows Navorro’s corner as he takes a large gulp of water and the cut man goes to work with an enswell, hoping to manage the growing mouse around Vo’s eye, courtesy of the elbow. His coach assures him that he won the round, and tells him to target the left arm to put the fight away.

Cut to the other corner, as Badass lets out another yelp. The doctor is shaking his head but badass protests.

Let me fight. Don't call it. I'm good.

The doctor shrugs and asks if he's sure and Badass stands up quickly, pushing the stool away

I'm sure.

He's cleared to continue, against the doctor's advice, and a cutman puts a layer of vaseline on the cut to close it up. The teams leave the cage and the ref signals the time keeper for round two.

5:00 The bell sounds and Vo comes out quickly, shooting for a takedown almost instantly. Badass fights it as well as he can, but he is driven back into the cage as Vo grinds him into the fence like a cheese grater. Badass drops some elbows on the side of William's head, forcing the grappler to abandon the takedown and change levels, securing an over-under clench.

GAGE BENJAMIN: It's interesting that they let Badass continue here. Talk about heart though… he refuses to give up.

MARIA SCALETTA: I think Navorro knows that he has him hurt though. He came out instantly looking to take this down… he smells blood in the water.

4:33 Stalling against the cage prompts the ref to separate the two men and restart the action. Badass throws a few weak jabs, but Navorro sways them with ease as he stalks forward. A hard knee lands to the body of Vo as Badass tries to keep his distance, and he follows up with a headkick that is only half blocked. So-vo wobbles a bit, prompting another roar from the crowd and Badass charges forward with another right hand that hits it's mark.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Navorro on bambi legs here… he's taking some punishment. This is a war!!

3:40 Navorro puts his back on the cage to regain balance as he blocks away the barrage of punches, elbows, and knees of the muay Thai magician. Sensing that he needed to pull off a miracle, Badass steps back and looks for the same knee that stopped his former rival… he's met mid air by Vo unfortunately… who capitalizes and catches him in flight. A thunderous slam follows, and the crowd screams at the top of their lungs...but even louder is the scream of pain that comes from Badass as he lands on the injured shoulder. He turtles up almost instantly and the shots are poured on by Williams until the ref steps in and stops the fight.

MARIA SCALETTA: OUCH! IT'S ALL OVER WITH A VICIOUS SLAM! Badass’ shoulder is really jacked here Gage. They've got EMS coming into the cage now to check on him. I really hope he's okay.

GAGE BENJAMIN: A broken collarbone will put him on the shelf for about six weeks… it's not too horrible of an injury but damn does it hurt… I feel his pain. I broke mine when I was skateboarding once. I gotta say though… this is one we are going to have to see again. Tough break for this kid. He was hanging in there with one of the best on the ground. He's got a bright future and I can't wait to see him back here in MLC. Let's go down to Louise for the official decision!

Badass shakes his head and leaves the cage with the medical team as Navorro has his hand raised in victory.

LOUISE SIMONE: The ref has called a stop to this fight at three minutes and twenty seconds of the second round. Your winner by way of TKO!!! NAAAAVOOORROOOO “SOOOO-VOOO” WIIIIIIIILLLLLLIIIIAMMMS!!

Prince Pierre Paul versus James Shark
Favorite: Prince Pierre Paul Underdog: James Shark Weight Limit: 210 lbs or Less

RUH ROH PEE TWEE

Scooby Doo’s voice echoes throughout the arena, followed by Shaggy’s.

ZIONKS!! LIKE P3 IS TOTALLY SHITTING HIS PANTS SCOOB

A faint drumroll could be heard as the camera pans around the arena capturing the fan’s unabided attention as the wait for James Shark to make his entrance. Suddenly Shark’s music kicks in and signs of movement are shown towards the walkway.

WHERE THE HOOD WHERE THE HOOD WHERE THE HOOD AT, HAVE THAT NIGGA IN THE CUT WHERE THE WOOD AT? OH THEM NIGGAS ACTIN UP!?!? WHERE THE WOLVES AT? YOU BETTER BUST THAT IF YOU GON’ PULL THAT

Where the hood at by DMX blasts through the arena speakers as James Shark emerges from the backstage area and makes himself visible to this electric crowd. He is wearing a white cap and a white shirt. The shirt has a big Scooby Doo face on it and he has a small bag of “Scooby Snax” in his hand as he tosses some of the treats into his mouth and eats it.

MARIA SCALETTA: There he is Ladies and Gentlemen, James Shark, coming off an impressive stoppage victory over Ryan LeCavalier, a woman who drew to the man he will meet tonight.

GAGE BENJAMIN: It’s important to note that was a very different P3. Heck, that was also a different James Shark. Both of these men are better versions of themselves every time we see them again and tonight, we’re going to get the best James Shark vs the best P3.

MARIA SCALETTA: And they wouldn’t have it any other way Gage, they want each other at their best so that they can beat the other at their best!

James walks towards the ring grooving to his music. Once the bag of scooby snax is finished with, he tosses it behind himself and screams out loud as if those scooby treats really worked. He could feel the adrenaline rushing through his body and he runs the remainder of the way, over to the referee octagon side. As the ref begins to put vaseline on his face and check his gloves, shark is talking to the cameras.

JAMES SHARK: What’s up baby. James Shark in the fucking building. MLC 10. This is history. Watch me put P3 in my history of opponents I dismantled. Let’s fucking go. Y’all Paul fans ain’t shit. Let’s go.

MARIA SCALETTA: Well a very animated James Shark as always.

GAGE BENJAMIN: For most trash talkers the talking ends once it’s time to fight but for Shark, the talking just gets louder.

James jogs up the steps up towards the octagon then turns around to face the crowd. He dances some and gives the crowd supporting P3 two middle fingers before he turns back towards the cage and heads on over to his corner.

The lights turn black. Suddenly noises play around the arena. Sweet vocalizing begins to play behind a soulful beat. The lights strobe gold and white. Through the music, the words begin to be spoken:

"Don't tell a lie on me...
I won't tell a truth 'bout you...
Don't tell a lie on me...
I won't tell a truth 'bout you...
"

The voice is Kendrick Lamar, singing "The Heart" (Part IV). The jumbo tron shows Prince Pierre-Paul, walking towards the cage. The fans cheer as Prince has a calm look on his face. He pounds his gloves together and bounces in place. He dons a white sleeveless Nike hoodie with the swoosh in black, a black mouthpiece, white and black track pants, and black and white Nike compression shorts. When he makes his way out, the song continues. But the lyrics become aggressive. Prince Pierre-Paul steps out, bouncing in place as fans reach out to touch him. He slaps some hands and heads to get inspected for the fight.

Prince nods his had to the song, as he heads to the referee. Prince takes his pants off, then his hoodie. He hugs his entire fight team, he then gets checked out by the referee patting him down. P3 gets Vaseline placed on his face. Prince Pierre-Paul then stomps his way up the steps. He stops, kneels, crosses his heart, and then kisses his hand. He then leaps up with a THUNDEROUS STOMP and a roar. He jogs around the cage, stops at his side, and wipes his feet. He then squats down and keeps his eyes locked forward, waiting for the introductions and pleasantries to die down.

LOUISE SIMONE: Ladies and gentlemen, this is the MAIN EVENT OF THE EVENING and is scheduled for FIVE rounds. Introducing first, fighting out of the BLUUUE corner. He weighed in at 190 pounds and stands 6'0"!!! This man is a striker... fighting out of Las Vegas, Nevada. REPRESENTING SLAUGHTERHOUSE GYM!!! JAAAAAAAAAAAMES SHAAAAAAAAARK!!!!

The crowd is close to blowing the roof off of the place in amticipatiom for the fight. The Shark die hards pop louder at the metion of his name... But James just jaws at P3 from across the cage

LOUISE SIMONE: aand his opponent!!! Figjting out of the REEEEED corner!!! He weighed in at 210 lbs and stands 6'2, from BOOOOCCCAAAA RRRROOOOTTTOOONNN, FFFLLOOOORRRIIDDAAAAA!!!
PRRRIIIIIIMEEEEEEETIIIIIIIIME!!!! PPRRRRIIIIIINNNNCCEEE PIIIIEEERRREE-PAAAUULLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P3 bows to the crowd, who cheer loudly for him and laughs at Shark telling him that there was nowhere to run anymore. The two meet in the middle for the refs intructions and refuse to touch gloves as they head back to their corner.

Posted Image

5:00 After the referee called for the fight to begin both fighter met in the center of the octagon. It was clear that neither gentlemen was shy about exchanging early in the fight. With how heated things have gotten since the announcement of this fight, can you really blame either of them? P3 held his hands up at the ready to guard himself incase Shark planned to hit a few jabs. Shark threw a couple jabs but with the intent not to actually have any contact with the former MLC Intercontinental Champion. These jabs were thrown to determine the distance between himself and P3. P3 guarded himself and from his jabs not knowing Shark wasn’t actually looking to hit him just yet. P3 then threw a counter leg kick only to miss as Shark got out of the way just in time.

MARIA SCALETTA: James showing off his speed here as he dodged that kick.

GAGE BENJAMIN: If Pierre-Paul would have landed that kick it would have caused some legit damage Maria. Pierre-Paul’s kicks feel like you’re getting hit by a living and breathing oak tree, haha. James had better avoid those as much as he possibly can!

4:30 Even though he missed the counter kick to the body, P3 pressed forward as James sidestepped away. P3 now threw a couple jabs towards James. James dodged these as P3 then threw left hook. James then closes in hitting a rabid flow of punches to the body of P3. P3 quickly went to grab a hold of Shark in hopes of putting him in a clench but no! James slipped away just in time and hits a quick right hook that landed right on the jaw. P3 ate the punch and looked as if it didn’t affect him. He looked to see Shark laughing at him and telling him that he’ll have to be faster than that.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Shark is just toying with P3 early in this fight.

MARIA SCALETTA: Not sure how smart that actually is. I wouldn’t wanna be locked in a cage with an angry P3.

4:00 P3 shook his head ignoring Shark’s words and held up his hands and still pursuing him. Shark continued to keep the distance between himself and P3 for the time being. He closed the distance some hitting a few leg kicks that were checked by P3. Countering the kicks, P3 hit a few jabs that landed getting a pop from the crowd. P3 went to hit a few more jabs but Shark was quick to get the hell out of dodge before he could be hit with anymore of P3’s punches. Of course, James laughed at P3’s attempts to punch him even though he knew if P3 was to land a few of those extra jabs he could do a good bit of damage here early.

MARIA SCALETTA: Shark is acting as if he’s the toreo and P3 is the damn bull!

GAGE BENJAMIN: Haha, that’s a nice analogy Maria. But that’s exactly what it is seeming like right now. Like it or not it’s working. Getting in and out and picking his spots on when and when not to engage.

3:00 P3 was getting annoyed now as if he wasn’t already by the likes of James Shark and everything that came with him. The former champion kept his eyes on him and called out to the former World Champion telling him to stop running. Shark didn’t take this comment too lightly as he nodded his head and began to close that distance between himself and P3. The two began to trade punches. P3 had some power behind his punches but they did not make Shark back down. Shark with the speed in punches picked P3 apart.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Oooohhh, here we go! These two are truly going at it now!

MARIA SCALETTA: These two keep hitting each other like this, this fight might end early!

2:30 The fans were fully behind the exchange here. Either they was cheering for James Shark or P3, it didn’t matter. This arena was very much alive as they cheered hoping to see a knockout. P3 slowed Shark down for a few as he quickly pulled him into a clinch after taking too many punches to the body. Shark was still hitting him in the ribs but not nearly as much as he was before. P3 drove Shark back into the fence and held him there in the clench.

MARIA SCALETTA: Shark had better get outta there! If there’s one place no fighter wants to be is locked in a clinch, pressed up against the cage….BY PRINCE PIERRE-PAUL!

GAGE BENJAMIN: I gotta agree this is a bad spot for the former World Champion.

2:00 P3 began throw a couple knees to Shark’s body only to be blocked. Shark did his best to defend himself here inside P3’s clinch and it was impressive to see no less. The fans were very much behind P3 seeing him having James up against the cage. They knew with this, P3 was bound to inflict some significant damage. Seeing that Shark was successfully defending the knees, this led to P3 going to land with some elbows to the head. Shark was forced to try and protect his head now and then fights for clinch control.

GAGE BENJAMIN: P3 looking for an opening here, but Shark is surprisingly doing a pretty good job against P3 in the clinch.

MARIA SCALETTA: He’s been working hard with this in camp. There’s no surprise he was prepared for it but we didn’t think he’d be doing this well by no means.

1:30 Shark was now throwing his very own knees and utilizing some dirty boxing to help him secure clinch control! Once he had control, he switched places with P3 with the former Intercontinental Champion up against the cage now! P3 tried his best to hold Shark in the clinch but no! Shark was able to pull free and once he did the former World Champion began to pick P3 absolutely apart with his fast punches! The crowd pops as they watched P3 trie his best to hold up his arms to protect himself from the punching flurry.

MARIA SCALETTA: P3 IS IN TROUBLE?!

GAGE BENJAMIN: THE SHARK SMELLS DEFEAT IN P3’S MIDST! AND HE’S GONNA DO HIS DAMNDEST TO SECURE THAT FATE HERE RIGHT NOW!

1:00 P3 begins to get away from the cage after hearing his corner telling him to do so. Shark was still there throwing punches. Not wanting to tire himself out Shark slowed down and stopped as took a step back. Shark began to talk some shit to P3 which got the crowd even more riled up. You think P3 was just gonna let James run his mouth and get away with it? Psh, yeah right. Prince began to go right back at Shark and the crowd roared louder.

GAGE BENJAMIN: P3 IS ON THE OFFENSE! HE’S GETTING HIM SOME PAYBACK NOW!

MARIA SCALETTA: JAMES SHOULD’VE KEPT HIS MOUTH SHUT AND KEPT GOING AFTER HIM! HE’S GONNA REGRET THAT NOW!

:30 The two were going to war there in the edge of the octagon with James backing up trying to shield himself from P3’s assault. The elite kickboxer began to mix up his jabs with kicks by this time and Shark was doing all he could to protect himself. He was doing well but once Prince started to throw kicks Shark starting to take some hits he didn’t want to take. The fans were cheering for the Prince as he had Shark backed up close to the cage. P3 feeling as he had Shark well in his sights leaped up going for a flying knee but no! Shark was quick to get the hell out of the way! Did he go far? No. He went right at P3 when he had his guard down but couldn’t do as much damage as he probably wish he could have with the horn sounded.

MARIA SCALETTA: Wow what a start to this contender main event fight!

GAGE BENJAMIN: Yes indeed, Maria! Yes ind---Wait. What’s going on?

James was seen getting in P3’s face arguing with him. P3 wasn’t backing down here jawing right back at him. All hell broke loose once James slapped Prince right across his face and backed up laughing! P3 tried to go after him but Jason Jackson & Carter Shields were seen flooding the octagon along with security and both fighters’ camps!

GAGE BENJAMIN: The hell was that?! That was uncalled for! Totally uncalled for?!

MARIA SCALETTA: Part of James’ mind games. Tryna get inside P3’s head. Uncalled for yes. Smart? Maybe. There’s two things that can happen. Either P3 will fight will more anger and end up losing because of it or that anger will fuel P3 to a win and rematch with Cassandra Madrigal for the MLC Undisputed Championship!

GAGE BENJAMIN: I don’t agree with that kind of crap, Maria. Sure you want to put on a show for these fans but those kind of antics are the reason Shark even got suspended from MLC! Luckily for him he was able to fight over in CGFC because if not he would have for sure lost to Ryan LeCavalier.

MARIA SCALETTA: Yes, but that didn’t happen now did it. Besides that was with a company President like Dean Machado who dealt MLC like he was Roger Goodell. Judge, Jury and Executioner. We have Jason Jackson at the helm now. He loves this kind of stuff. Shields might be as straight edge as there is but he knows what makes for a good fight so he isn’t gonna say anything about it either.

GAGE BENJAMIN: You have a point. So far in the first round both men shown they certainly have some bad blood between them and it keep boiling between them.

MARIA SCALETTA: The speed of Shark is proving to be a great advantage against P3. If he keeps that up and doesn’t get fatigued we may be looking at a Shark vs. Madrigal at MLC 11.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Yes, but you seen at the tail end of the fight there and in the middle of the fight when Pierre-Paul had Shark on the fence. That possibility might not be the case. Either way both men have the tools to end this fight early only time will tell if both men can secure that victory.

Posted Image

5:00 Once the second round began Shark was seen jawing off at P3 again. P3 paid him no mind as he went right at James not holding back his offense here. He began connecting with a kicking combination that opened up for him to hit a hellacious left hook that makes the former World Champion stumble as he was apparently rocked! Shark quickly recovers and side steps trying to get away from P3 a bit.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Pierre-Paul going right at Shark out of the gate like a raging bull!

MARIA SCALETTA: He’s seeing red, Gage. And I sure as hell don’t blame him with what happened after the first round.

4:30 P3 kept pushing forward and seeing that he had James right where he wanted him. Surprisingly Shark was the one that brought P3 into the clinch. He held on to P3 preventing him from getting kind of advantage but he didn’t have it in him to hold onto the control for long. The more experienced Muay Thai fighter P3 got control of the clinch and pressed James up against the fence.

MARIA SCALETTA: Shark needs to get outta there. This doesn’t look good for him.

GAGE BENJAMIN: After that hard left hook he hasn’t been the same, Maria. He’s trying to regain composure but it’s just not looking good for him right now.

4:00 With Shark’s back on the fence, Pierre-Paul began to hit a few punches softening him up. P3 then began to hold Shark’s head down and he lead it down to his upcoming knee strikes! Shark’s corner can be heard yelling at him telling him to get the hell out of there but there was no where he could go! The knees were definitely taking their toll and blood began all onto the canvas staining the mat.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Oh boy, Shark is cut!

MARIA SCALETTA: Those damn knees. I’m surprised he’s no---

3:30 P3 threw one one more knee at Shark, but Shark pulled out of the clinch and blasted P3 with a right hook that connected right on the chin! Shark immediately went for the take down leading to ground and pound, but P3 blocked him by throwing kicks from his back. Shark backed away and gestured for P3 to stand up, P3 scattering to his feet to do exactly so. With both men on their feet, they began moving toward the center of the octagon, both men watching the hip movement of the other opponent. Out of nowhere, P3 went for a jumping knee strike, but Shark moved out of the way and clocked P3 in the ear with a right hook. P3 seemed unphased by the shot, moving right back toward Shark. Shark threw a slow left jab,but P3 moved out of the way and connected with a roundhouse to the side of Shark’s head!

MARIA SCALETTA: Shark might be in trouble here!

GAGE BENJAMIN: Especially with the blood now going into his eyes! If P3 gets one more shot on Shark this one way maybe over!

3:00 P3 put the pressure on and pushed Shark back against the cage, throwing body shots, but none of them really connected. Shark clinched up P3 for his safety, but began driving his knees to the leg until the referee stepped in and told both men to break the clinch. Separating the two, Shark and P3 put up their hands and looked ready to go at it until Shark dropped P3 with a ferocious knee right to the eye, knocking P3 down and busting him open! Not worried about the ground and pound, Shark dropped to the canvas and attempted to lock in a rear naked choke! He wrapped his arm around P3’s throat, but P3 would not let him lock it in all the way!

GAGE BENJAMIN: If Shark can just get that arm fully around Prince’s neck we could see choking him out!

MARIA SCALETTA: I don't know if he's gonna be able to Gage. Pierre-Paul is defending that pretty good with all he can muster.

2:30 Shark almost had his arm in perfect position until he actually locked in the guillotine choke! P3’s eyes began bulging out of his face, but the former MLC Champion was not giving up that easy. He fought and fought and he flipped his body backwards and began wailing away with blind right and left shots to Shark’s abdomen. Shark was forced to let go of the hold and immediately scattered to his feet. Just as Shark got up, P3 charged forward and got Shark with a hellacious knee strike that sent Shark down to the mat! P3 tried to capitalize and went for kill, pounding away at Shark’s face, but Shark kept his hands up and continued to defend himself!

GAGE BENJAMIN: THIS MIGHT BE IT, MARIA!

MARIA SCALETTA: SHARK TRYING TO FEND OFF P3 ALL HE CAN BUT I DON’T KNOW HOW LONG HE’LL BE ABLE TO WITHSTAND THIS PUNISHMENT!

2:00 Shark reached up and brought him down into his full guard keeping P3 from inflicting any more damage. P3 was trying to pull himself free from Shark’s grasp but either couldn’t or just tried not to after deciding he could use the time to catch his breath. P3 looked up seeing how close they were to the cage. He began to push them towards the cage slowly with the help of the blood on the mat helping them slide a bit. Once the made it over to the cage, he had Shark’s head pressed against the cage. Pierre-Paul pulled away some and began to go right back do the ground and pound.

MARIA SCALETTA: Is this P3 or The Huntington Beach Bad Boy?!

GAGE BENJAMIN: Might be taking something out of Tito Ortiz’s playbook here but it’s sure as hell looking effective!

1:30 Shark was taking some big hits here but instead of defending himself, James was firing back from the bottom. This only made P3 angrier but it was good to see James still had some fight to him as the referee was keeping an close eye to whether or not he was still in this. Shark then moved his left foot onto Prince’s hip. He pushed off some and it worked to get P3 off him with just enough time to scramble up to his feet. P3 pressed Shark back up against the cage as he got up not letting him get anywhere.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Shark back on his feet!

MARIA SCALETTA: James still wants this! He’s still in this fight, Gage!

1:00 Shark began to hit a few elbows to the back before pulling up P3 from around his waist and up into a clinch. P3 tried to get free and take control but with blood and sweat covering their arms it was making things difficult. Shark then turned the two around and had P3 up against the cage. He pulled away clipping P3 with a couple jabs and a missed elbow strike before backing up and getting some distance from him. The fans applauded the fighters as Shark held out his arms telling P3 to bring it.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Bloodied, bruised and batter and still wanting more. James Shark ladies and gentlemen!

MARIA SCALETTA: He’s a champion, Gage. He’s not the type to run away from a fight!

:30 The P3 wiped away some blood from his forehead and away from his eyes. He looked to James and nodded as he pressed forward cautiously. James was heard talking shit to P3 trying to get in his head. P3 didn’t listen to him as he began to throw some jabs toward Shark. Shark blocked them then wrapped his arms around P3 to use some dirty boxing hitting P3 in the gut before going for a take down. Pierre-Paul stuffs the takedown attempt. As he was pulling James back up to his feet making sure he wasn’t down Pierre threw a knee that landed right on James’ head! Shark was stunned and went down! The fans exploded once more as P3 went after Shark trying to put him away but no! The horn sounded saving the former World Champion!

MARIA SCALETTA: So freaking close! Thought we was about to witness the end of Shark and this fight!

GAGE BENJAMIN: Man, oh man! Two explosive rounds! We can only hope we can get three more rounds like it!

MARIA SCALETTA: We’ve seen them both be busted open, both nearly be put away each other way. Goddamn that was a good round.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Yes it was. But with how much damage these men suffered in that round is going to take it’s toll in the latter rounds.

5:00 When the round begins the two were cleaned off pretty well and their wounds treated as much as the medical staff could possibly do. The two circled around the octagon for a moment before P3 began to kick a few kicks to James’ body and legs. Shark blocked a couple of the kicks to the body and checked the leg kicks. He also through a couple counter jabs just to back Pierre off a bit. Pierre done so trying his best to avoid these punches from him. Shark was not on the offense as he was closing the distance between himself and P3. As he got closer to him, Shark three a few leg kicks of his own leading to him land a couple jabs.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Nice little back and forth here. Still waiting to see who will take control of this round.

MARIA SCALETTA: The round just started Gage. Them them some time.

4:30 P3’s corner was heard telling him to avoid mixing up with Shark right now and to not play into his game. P3 did his his best to counter Shark’s strikes and get some distance between them. Shark didn’t let up on him though as he kept pressing forward. This round Shark was really making it his mission to go at P3’s legs. He landed a few more leg kicks and of course through the jabs just to mix up the combinations. P3 tired of playing on the defensive end began to fire back at Shark making him back off. After getting Shark to back off, P3 calmed down some side stepping around the octagon keeping his eye on James but more so sizing him up for the perfect moment to try to land a big kick.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Probably the most calm in this storm we’re probably going to see, Maria.

MARIA SCALETTA: Yeah maybe. But it’s still too early to make that assumption. It’s seeming like neither man wants to take on too much damage before the ‘championship rounds’ commence.

4:00 James was also trying to time for his best chance to pull the trigger also, but that wasn’t for an attempt to knock P3 out. He was softening up the former Intercontinental Champions legs up as much as he could to set up what he had planned for P3. He closes the distance once more and utilizes his boxing background to connect with some punches as well as some hooks to the body. P3 would try to throw some punches of his own and James began to bob and weave around them and counter with a big leg kick that was a bit thunderous to say the least.

MARIA SCALETTA: Ouch, that one had to of hurt.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Yeah, you can see it written all over Pierre-Paul’s face. He definitely felt that one.

3:30 After that kick landed P3 winced a bit but didn’t wanna show Shark he was in that much pain. Shark knew though, he knew he did some damage to P3’d right leg. He continued his punching attack and ending the combination with a hard kick to the leg. P3 tried to get away from Shark but he kept coming. James began to throw more of his punches this time a lot more quicker. P3 was forced to backpedal with his guard up but it was big leg kick that Shark landed during his escape that tripped him up!

GAGE BENJAMIN: Shark just landed a big leg kick there! One strong enough to take P3 down momentarily.

MARIA SCALETTA: The leg is starting to swell up and bruise, Gage. P3 can’t take anymore of this. Kickboxing is a huge part of his fighting style..

3:00 Seeing P3 get tripped up made Shark go in to take him completely down to the ground. P3 fought it at first but at the position he was he couldn’t keep himself up to defend the attempt. As he went down he placed Shark in a full guard immediately so that he didn’t end up in a more beneficial position. James hit a few punches to the body as P3 held him there. He tried to pass P3’s guard but his legs were still strong enough to hold him there in place.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Wonder how P3 is gonna be able to withstand Shark off his back now.

MARIA SCALETTA: I think he’ll do well enough but that leg injury is gonna start to be a problem. We just seen Shark take it out from under him.

2:30 P3 began to score some strikes from off his back reopening Shark’s cut. This didn’t slow down James though as he kept trying to pass his guard. He began to pull away some but P3 was right there to pull him right back down. The fans watched closely as the two were down on the ground near the center of the octagon fighting for position. Blood was starting to get everywhere making it easier for James to move but harder for P3 to hold him in place.

MARIA SCALETTA: Shark busted back open thanks duly to our very own Prince Pierre-Paul and the scar tissue of Shark.

GAGE BENJAMIN: I’m starting to get concerned, Maria. P3 needs to get up and back onto his feet. He doesn’t wanna be here on the ground for longer than he needs to be.

2:00 Shark getting some more movement now reached down and pushed down on P3’d left leg to try and advance to a half guard. Unfortunately for James, that wasn’t the leg that was injured so P3 had full strength in that leg and wouldn’t budge. P3 then went for broke and pulled James in for a Guillotine Choke! The fans popped thinking this could be it!

GAGE BENJAMIN: PRINCE IS TRYING TO PUT THIS FIGHT AWAY!

MARIA SCALETTA: Didn’t see this coming. Wonder how Shark is gonna get outta this.

1:30 Shark didn’t panic while being in the choking submission hold knowing that if he did it’d only make things worse. He calmed down his breathing and then began to reach up to punch P3 in the face some to make him relieve some pressure. P3 just tightened up his arm around Shark’s neck cutting off the air supply.

MARIA SCALETTA: He’s starting to fade, Gage!

GAGE BENJAMIN: No...No he’s still moving but goddamn P3 has that locked in tight!

1:00 James began to elbow down on P3’s right leg and this caused P3 to yelp out in pain! Shark took notice of this and continue to elbow the leg right leg that held him in place. P3 couldn’t keep this hold for long, not wanting to drain out his arm. The pain from the elbow strikes were also starting to get to P3 making him let go of the choke to try and stop James from hitting the leg.

MARIA SCALETTA: James it out! He’s targeting that leg like a madman with those elbows.

GAGE BENJAMIN: And it led to him getting out of that guillotine choke cause man that was in deep.

:30 Feeling P3’s guard getting weak, James pulls away and is now in P3’s half guard. Shark doesn’t plan on staying there for long as he gets free and spins over to the right leg...AND LOCKS IN A KNEEBAR! The fans roar as they watch the former MLC World Champion lock in the submission. P3 yelled out in pain and cringed as the pain ran through his leg. Shark was heard talking shit while applying as much pressure as he possibly could telling P3 to tap the fuck out. Luckily for P3 the horn sounded just in time as he was able to survive the round after all.

MARIA SCALETTA: Save by the fucking bell!

GAGE BENJAMIN: P3 was this close, Maria! This close to tapping.

MARIA SCALETTA: Look at James, still running that mouth of his. He knew he almost had P3 and he’s gonna keep reminding P3 of that there.

GAGE BENJAMIN: I bet P3 is happy as heck that round is over and done with. He can’t go to the ground again, Maria. He just can’t take the risk of Shark submitting him any more. He has to keep this fight standing at all cost.

MARIA SCALETTA: I hate to agree with you but with how bad that leg is looking plus he almost got submitted of the leg injury alone? You might have a point. But I seriously think his kickboxing is severely compromised at this point. It’s going to be interesting to see how he bounces back from this.

5:00 When the first of the two championship rounds began it was clear that P3’s right leg was still bothering him some. Shark smirked as he seen him limp around while sidestepping. With this Shark wasn’t all that worried about standing up with P3. He closed the distance between the two while weaving back and forth as if he was dancing with P3 and dodging punches. P3 kept his eyes on him waiting for him to strike.

MARIA SCALETTA: Shark toying with P3 already.

GAGE BENJAMIN: P3 not falling for it. Hindered or not he’s not stupid.

4:30 Shark throws a couple jabs then shoots for the takedown. No! P3 stuffs the takedown attempt and tosses Shark off to the side. The crowd pops as they see this and takes Shark off guard. He tries to laugh it off as P3 stared over at him showing that he meant business. James got up and proceed toward P3 now a bid more timid.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Time for games are over, Shark sees that now.

MARIA SCALETTA: Things might start to get heated like the first two rounds, Gage. I’m ready for it.

4:00 Shark throw a couple leg kicks that went checked. Even checking the kicks hurt P3 but it was better than not checking them at all. P3 threw a couple jabs here and there but Shark was able to dance around them. The two took turns taking shots at one another but neither could really capitalize on anything. Shark much like the third round was trying to soften P3 up for a take down to the ground which proved to be very beneficial in this fight for him to possibly win. As for P3 he knew he had to keep this fight standing while also trying to protect himself from the stand up of the premiere fighter in James.

MARIA SCALETTA: Look at P3’s leg, Gage. I’ve never seen him take that much damage in a fight ever.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Just one of those things about being in the cage with James Shark, Maria. Expect the unexpected.

3:30 James started to turn up the heat now as he began to throw punching combos. P3 held up his guard trying to protect himself as much as he possibly could. The fans stood on their feet watching Shark the fight to Prince. Prince evaded Shark while hobbling in the process. Shark threw a big leg kick to the right leg trying to take the leg from under him again but no! Prince moved out of the way just in time and countered with a huge elbow! Shark once again was busted open but in a different spot now. He stumbled back and was a bit dazed.

GAGE BENJAMIN: P3 GOT EM! P3 GOT EM!

MARIA SCALETTA: James is rocked!

3:00 P3 went after Shark now raining down some punches that had some brute power behind him! Shark had to get out of there. No, he NEEDED to get the hell out of there. Shark’s other cut reopened painting James’ face like a bloody crimson mask! Shark’s corner could be heard screaming at him telling him to get the hell out of there!

MARIA SCALETTA: PRINCE LOOKING FOR THE FINISH!

GAGE BENJAMIN: How in the hell is James Shark still on his feet?!

2:30 There was no where for James to go. He was pinned against the cage taking on Hurricane P3 and it was starting to looking like a Category 5 storm by the looks of the forecast! James knew he was trouble and had no choice but to fight back with his back up against the cage. This helped some and backed P3 up a little.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Shark trying to make a comeback here. He isn’t going down without a fight!

MARIA SCALETTA: I still think he’s a bit rocked and it just fighting to survive.

2:00 The fans were in an uproar as the two were beginning to bang. Shark seemed to of shaken off the dazed state he was in as he was looking like himself while trading punches with P3. But once P3 began to mix in some kicks Sharks began to flee not wanting in apart of it. He used his speed to get away from P3 then wiped away the blood from his eyes trying to keep them from getting in them.

MARIA SCALETTA: These two are really going at it right now, Gage. I don’t see this fighting going to the judges.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Hell at this point I don’t think so either. One thing I know for sure is that if James is gonna survive this round or fight rather, he had better get P3 down to the damn ground.

1:30 P3 wasn’t gonna let Shark get off easy. He followed him keeping the pressure on him. After wiping away the blood from his eyes and thinking he had got away from Prince, Shark didn’t see it coming. P3 was right there bashing his face in with his fist! Prince had Shark where wanted him and pulled Shark into a clinch! There in the clinch fans knew what was coming next!

GAGE BENJAMIN: Shark is in trouble!

MARIA SCALETTA: Back to where he doesn’t wanna be….Inside of P3’s clinch!

1:00 The fans cheered as they watch P3 go to work in the clinch. He began alternating knees to the head and body while sneaking in some hard elbows to the head keeping Shark distorted it. Shark was doing all he could to block P3’s knee strikes but when he began to switch from knees to elbows it made it harder for him to do so. Blood was leaking from James’ cuts now and there was no stopping it.

MARIA SCALETTA: Jesus, if P3 isn’t able to put Shark away with this then I don’t know what will.

GAGE BENJAMIN: We all know just how James is but you’re right it’s a miracle James is still in this fight taking on this much damage. I don’t know how much longer it can last!

:30 P3 didn’t look like he was backing off at any time. He looked around to the fans as he took a breath. He then pulled back with an elbow hoping it would be enough to put Shark away...It connects! But was Jame out? No! He stumbled and still caught himself to stand back up to his feet. He tried to get away from P3 but there was P3 connecting with Flying Kick! Shark goes down! Shark is down! P3 sees this and runs over going for the ground and pound but no! The horn sounds saving Shark from a TKO loss!

GAGE BENJAMIN: Aaaaahhhhhhh man! Yet again the this fight is saved thanks to the damn horn.

MARIA SCALETTA: For both fighters at that, Gage. Shark got too cocky in this round and underestimated P3.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Big mistake there. P3 proved whether he’s hurt or not, he’s going to fight till the death.

MARIA SCALETTA: Shark too! He’s more bloody than ever right now. Can see the doctors making sure he’s still able to even fight.

GAGE BENJAMIN: And Pierre-Paul’s camp checking on the right leg. Both men are gonna have to either finish one another or amaze the damn judges if they hope to win this fight and move on to the championship bout at MLC 11.

5:00 Finally! It was time for the fifth and final round of the highly anticipated main event match up! Everyone watching there in the arena and watching around the world was ready for this one. The two premiere fighters looked across the octagon at one another knowing that in this round, it was either go big or go home. From how the rounds have gone throughout this fight, it was anybody’s fight to win. The circled around the cage sizing one another up. P3 had momentum in his corner after dominating James last round. James on the other hand wanted pay back fro the beating Prince was able to deal him. When he got closer to Prince he talked some shit to him not caring how mad it would make him if it happen to get under his skin.

MARIA SCALETTA: Here we go, Gage. This is what we have all been waiting for. I’m surprised this fight is still going on but who the hell cares?! This has been an fantastic fight!

GAGE BENJAMIN: Right you are, Maria. This is a main event that has not disappointed by no means.

4:30 Shark began to throw some jabs as well as hooks to the body. P3 took the hits as he counter with a right hook that landed square on Shark’s jaw. James ate the punch and kept throwing punches. P3 kept countering with punches of his own as well as kicks to the body. Shark out of nowhere hits a hellacious left handed uppercut that made P3 go stumbling back as he was not expecting it. He quickly recovered and got his footing but Shark was right there on him. Shark was through fast punches to anywhere it would land. P3 sidestepped away from the fence and began to throw punches along with him.

GAGE BENJAMIN: I’m not sure how wise it is for Shark to go back to trading with Prince. Surely after last round he wouldn’t want to go through that for a second straight time.

MARIA SCALETTA: Despite last round, we both know James can handle himself standing up. He’s fine and he’s doing fine right now.

4:00 P3 out of nowhere throws a Roundhouse Kick but it doesn’t land as James shoots in and takes him down to the ground! The fans cheer as James had P3’s back. He was trying to get his hooks in under his legs to flatten P3 out. Pierre-Paul was proving to be difficult as he was trying desperately to get back up to his feet. To make it harder for Prince, Shark began to pick his shots carefully when he began to punch him from torso to head. The referee stood close making sure James wasn’t hitting him in the back of head.

MARIA SCALETTA: Now this is somewhere Pierre-Paul doesn’t wanna be, Gage. We seen how good Shark was on the ground against him.

GAGE BENJAMIN: Yeah and with having his back like this it’s gonna be difficult for him. If James can get his hooks in he can flatten him out and pick him apart from up top just like if he was in a mount with P3 on his back. James could even try to submit him from this position also. There’s a couple things that could go wrong for P3 here.

3:30 Prince tried to protect himself from getting hit but it only helped Shark get one of his hooks in. Prince started to panic some and James began to hit harder and even reopening the cut on P3’s face. Blood began to stain the mat under P3 and seeing it made Shark even more relentless in trying to put the big man away!

MARIA SCALETTA: This ain’t shaping out too well for P3!

GAGE BENJAMIN: If Shark gets that other hook in, it’s gonna get a lot worse!

3:00 P3 made the mistake of pushing up trying get back up and Shark got the other hook in! With both hooks in he flattened out P3 and began to pick him apart as predicted! The fans roared in cheers. As James picks P3 apart he is heard talking shit to him. The referee stood close making sure P3 was able to defend himself which he was. He was still moving trying to get himself off of his stomach. As he done so Shark immediately sank in a Rear Naked Choke!

GAGE BENJAMIN: Ahh man, here we go! Shark has that Rear Naked Choke locked in pretty damn good.

MARIA SCALETTA: This might be it! If P3 isn’t able to get out of this, we could be looking at our number one contender for the MLC Undisputed Championship!

2:30 P3 turned over onto his side hoping it would help get him out. Shark tightened his hold constricting the air from P3’s lungs. P3 was still starting to survive and wouldn’t give up! Knowing that this wasn’t working as good as he would have hoped, James had to improvise. He began to turn P3’s body as he transitioned his Rear Naked Choke into an Twister. This was probably a bad idea as P3 began to turn along with the submission attempt and was free of James’ hold!

GAGE BENJAMIN: Whoa! Great reversal by P3!

MARIA SCALETTA: Now can he capitalize on it and get back up to his feet?!

2:00 P3 was now inside Shark’s full guard. He began to hit some elbows opening Shark back up. He then pushed his legs down freeing himself and getting back up to his feet. He wiped off the blood from his forehead and called for James to get back up to his feet. The crowd gave P3 a round of applause for his efforts.

MARIA SCALETTA: Good work by Prince! Survived what looked like it could have been the end for him and is now back to his feet!

GAGE BENJAMIN: Now that the ball is in his court, let’s see what he can do with it.

1:30 James now back up to his feet looked across at P3 with a smirk on his face. He waved the former champion over to fight. P3 didn’t back down from the challenge as he began to make his way forward. Shark threw a couple jabs before lands a hard left hook to the body. P3 counters with an elbow strike that made the former World Champion stumble a bit.

GAGE BENJAMIN: With just a minute left these two are gonna duel it out until they can’t no more!

MARIA SCALETTA: And they sure as hell better hope that they are able to put one another out before this fight lands in the hands of the judges!

1:00 P3 goes to follow up the blow but no! Shark got out of the way and hit a few punches and a kick to the body before he could do anything. P3 shook his head and spit out some blood onto the mat. Again he wipes his forehead clearing it some of blood and presses on. Shark bobbed and weaved as much as he could but even with his dodging attempts he wasn’t prepared for the kickboxing onslaught the P3 was now delivering to him before grabbing the back of his head and jumping up to drive his knee into his skull!

MARIA SCALETTA: Oh my God! What a big knee from P3!

GAGE BENJAMIN: Shark is down!

:30 Shark immediately goes down after the sudden knee strike. He didn’t know what hit him and once he went down he was trying to pick himself up before P3 could capitalize on it. He was able to pick himself up but there P3 was pinning him up against the cage. James pulled him into a clinch but P3 was able to get free and the two began to trade strikes on the side of the cage until the horn sounded!

GAGE BENJAMIN: AND IT IS ALL OVER!!!

MARIA SCALETTA: Goddamn, what an absolute war we just witnessed!

GAGE BENJAMIN: One thing is for certain, Maria. I sure as hell can’t tell you who won this fight but you know who did win? Us. The fans who were all able to witness this dream fight finally become a reality!

MARIA SCALETTA: This is one for the ages.. No matter the decision this fight will go down in history as one of the greatest in MMA history. All we have left is the reading of the scorecard. Louise give us a winner…

The camera cuts to the fighters and both look absolutely war-torn. Neither man has his head hung however…

Shark leans back and speaks to Clayton Paris as the scorecard is handed over and Louise raises the microphone…

LOUISE SIMONE: After five rounds of all out war, the judges have reached a decision.

LOUISE SIMONE: Judge one scores this contest 48-47...P3

The crowd cheers and Shark shakes his head, waving it off.

LOUISE SIMONE: Judge number two scores this bout 48-47… Shark!!!

There's a mixed reaction from the crowd and Shark laughs, nodding his head.

LOUISE SIMONE: and judge number three scores this bout 48-47…. your winner by Split decision AND THE NUMBER ONE CONTENDER….

Louise pauses, looking down at the cards in his hands.

LOUISE SIMONE: PRIIIIINCE PIERRE-PAUL!!!

The ref raises P3's hand before he makes his way out of the ring. The crowd showing a mixed reaction to the end result of this amazing fight.

Maria walks over to James and looks a bit hesitant in doing so, dejavuu starting to hit her as she could see the obvious disappointment on his face. The last time she tried to conduct an interview with him after a loss - it resulted in him getting suspended and her getting “assaulted”. She stands by his side and puts a hand on his back.

MARIA SCALETTA: Alright ladies and Gentlemen, I’m here with James Shark. James, what a fight. The split decision goes towards P3 but neither of you have anything to be ashamed of. It was a tremendous showing for both of you two warriors. I’d just like to ask you, what did you think of the fight and was there anything about P3 that surprised you?

James glances up at the replay, looking at some slow-mo highlights in favor of both him and Paul. He shrugs his shoulders and sighs some.

JAMES SHARK: Close fight. Hard fight. Look, I ain’t wanna stand here right now and talk about rematch this or i won that. Shit’s disappointing as fuck man… I didn’t want to be in this position and all training camp I pretty much trained to look for the finish and press for it so that I didn’t have to find myself on the end of a close victory or a close defeat. But hey man look-

James grabs the microphone from Maria and begins to look around for P3 in the crowded octagon, he realizes he had already left so he walks over to the cage door and just speaks to him as he walks back to the dressing room.

JAMES SHARK: P3 congratulations. As a man Ima stand right here in front of these happy ass fans celebrating my defeat and say I was wrong bout you.

James now looks over to the crowd.

JAMES SHARK: No shame either. Cheer for the victory but understand that it was a close victory. I had my moments in that fight too and who knows? Put two other judges on that seat and you may be seein’ me with my hands raised. You celebrating an outcome that could have gone either way. But again. No excuses, just know what it was you jockstraps.

James looks over at Maria and tries to ignore that crowd.

JAMES SHARK: What else you want me to say Maria? The man one helluva competitor and one helluva fighter. World class skill level. I always knew the dude was a dog and wasn’t gonna go away easily, I just thought I’d be able to make it happen and make it happen early. The trash talk was genuine though. I aint liked that man cuz I felt like although he did have the talent, I just felt like he was bein’ fed here and there and maybe getting overpraised…

James shakes his head and looks down at the canvas.

JAMES SHARK: I eat my words tonight. The nigga deserve the praise he get. That’s a true Champion. I’m lookin’ forward to seein’ him and Cass bang it out for the trilogy. But yeah man. Close fight. Two judges didn’t see things my way, it is what it is. That’s why you can’t leave it up to them. It’s just hard to not do that when you fighting this type a dude, a dude that is not gonna give up and just keep the fight goin no matter how bad he hurt or how bad he fatigue. That deserves respect. He earned my respect tonight so hats off to em. I’ll accept this loss with open arms just like I do every single time. You won’t hear me with no excuses like all the opponents I beat be doin.

James gives his head another shake and puts his hands on his waists. Maria grabs the microphone back from him and gives him an encouraging smile.

MARIA SCALETTA: Well James like I said, an amazing fight. But what’s next for you? Leading up to this fight you did say this would be your last one if you los-

James puts his two hands up finally smiling. The crowd had not seen that smile since he was walking out to the fight.

JAMES SHARK: Hold it Maria. Damn. You want me to leave that bad? Listen man. I said a lot of shit comin in here. Lemme go back home and just rewatch the fight, talk to my trainers, talk to my family and we’ll go from there. We’ll look at all the options and I’ll make my decision. All I care about right now is finally goin’ on my honeymoon.

James winks over to someone off camera, presumably his wife. Maria nods her head and pats his back as he walks off.

MARIA SCALETTA: James Shark Ladies and Gentlemen! Thank you for joining us tonight! We'll see you at Fight Night 6 in St. Louis, Missouri. The date for that will be announced when the card is posted. Have a good night!
