The F-20 was developed as the next generation of the F-5 family. In fact it was originally designated the F-5G, before being assigned the F-20 moniker.
It was intended as an export aircraft, as, at the time, the US Congress had banned the sale of top level US technology, ie, the F-16.
Several prototypes were made and shown at various airshows, as well as tested in air to air combat and ground attack roles.
Lifting of the sales embargo allowed countries around the world to buy the more desirable and proven F-16, leaving the Tigershark with no potential customers.
Had it gone into service, it is likely a 2 seater version would have been produced.
This kit provides what if builders with that aircraft.

Instructions are typical booklet type. Well laid out.

The F-20A single seater is similar, except for the obvious different nose, more weapons but less decal options

Looks to be a good kit and I can definitely smell a WHIF coming on sometime in the future. Very nice review also, thanks.

I have seen that one. Looks like even more weapons, and of course that desirable refueling probe.....
