A lot of these kits have been sent out with short shot tail fins. Not a major issue, as a bit of filler will repair it. I was told mine was ok, but after opening the bags I found it was the same as many others. Like I say, it's not a major issue in my book, but others have been incensed by it... 2018-02-14_10-08-53 by Paul Carter, on FlickrIn my opinion, it looks like a great kit of the Hurricanes great (?) grandson, and last of the great piston engine fighters. Good cockpit detail, options for open or folded wings, and a whole host of stores. Surface detail is what we have come to expect from Airfix, other than a few raised rivets on the tail, which aren't there on the real thing. All in all, I give it a big thumbs up! |

Full marks to Airfix for a really beautiful model. I would rather have a couple of little issues like the ones above than not have the kit because of the rivet counting crowd. Thank goodness we don't do that here as it gets really old on other sites. As far as the gun-sight I can only guess the reaction when someone pointed it out at Airfix (you can almost hear Homer Simpson now). The ONLY nit pick I have is the fact that it's in 48th! Come on Airfix, shrink down the Jav, Vic and Fury to "Man Scale"! Ah, well, some day... Cheers! FTOSOTP |

I had a look at mine last night, and the cowling is short shot, but to such a minor extent, that I wouldn't have noticed. Definitely have to get rid of those rivets though.... |

Looking at those dinks in the kit I can honestly say I usually do that kind of damage while cutting bits off the sprue...... Nice little review Paul, a few whif`s spring to mind as well. |
