well while i was putting stuff away in the loft last night after the show, i pulled out the Revell re-pop of the Hassegawa kit from the stash to build next

Having just built the 92 sqn Lightning i was very surprised to see the markings in the box for another 92sqn Aircraft, now the plan was to build this to take it to the V-Bombers show at NAM on 19th May, i know John has built the other scheme in the box (56sqn Red tail) and Paul as the camo one, i thought well another allover grey jet, so ive searched hannants for decals and come down to 3 options - 1- a camo jet, 2 - 74sqn but thats Tony's baby, or the Allcock and Brown special but the decals cost more than the kit

so...

i thought ill just crack on with the overall grey 92sqn jet OOB, never checking the revell 'F' paint code, assuming it was grey.... how wrong could i be!!!!

does anyone know if the Hasse / revell copy need nose weight? as shes all over blue im going to add the nose soon, i dont want to add too much weight unless she needs is as the nose leg looks a little thin - the revell instructions dont mention weight

Good choice.

Generally Phantoms don't need nose weight, I usually add a little when I remember just for peace of mind but don't go overboard.
