Picture image hosting services appear to be trying to make life difficult for all of us. Photobucket charging money now, Flickr being bought by Smugmug (Which is also a pay site), and now Postimage. Postimage does not (Not yet at least) want money from us, but they apparently changed their domain extension from postimg.org to postimg.cc This of course means that any picture link containing the .org domain is now invalid. They obviously didn't feel the need to communicate this change, so everybody, including their registered users, remains oblivious to this. For each and every Postimage user who cares about their past posts, this means that they need to edit all of them and replace their picture links. Depending on how busy someone has been, they will be busy quite some more

Typical of business now, why not change things but not let our 'valued' customers know. I'm with Flickr and also Tinypics so if one charges I'll move over to the other. Fortunately I also have a PC folder with all my photos in and then saved on a thumb drive regularly.

I'm becoming more and more minded to arrange my own hosting, it's apparently not difficult to do and doesn't necessarily cost very much. |

Not particularly! To self-host images you need your own website with suitable storage space and some software to upload images. |

i agreen Peebeep, however having your own website, and storage also costs money depending on your bandwith (ie the amount of views you get) the more the cost can be, i looked at it for me, but as i host the graphics for the forum, every view of any page on here adds to my bandwith and for me it really isnt viable if you host revellations as i think you do you may well face the same problem |

Yes, bandwidth could be an issue. |
