Seeing as how my wife's favorite color is purple...

This type of model is a common theme in Japan; Taking a real life military subject and giving it the fantasy treatment. At the moment, I am considering whether to give it a more realistic finish. That would consist of adding the roundels for the JASDF, and painting the underbelly and weapons in the JASDF color scheme.
Aside from the specialty decals Hasegawa also included a small fret of photo etch parts, rubber tires and cast metal wheels.

I cannot help but agree with you Del. Prepare yourself until I get some primer on the assemblies.
First up is the cockpit. This should look rather good after painting and detailing.

Del; This should be more to your liking. Next is the forward portion of the fuselage. I am still deciding whether to include the flight crew.
