well so i dont hijack a thread again i thought id post up here

firstly a big thanks you to the posts and messages ive received about blaze

heres where we are, well hes now eating and drinking but hes far from his usual wappy self, after a discussion with the vet, weve agreed that hes a old dog and is now going into retirement, so no running with me anymore and now 10k walks and well, even though he seems to be slowly improving we expect that his days are numbered

as for what happened, were still not sure but the facts point to him eating something that poisoned him and has really hit him for 6 - historically hes been a nightmare eating things when we are out walking, hes eating frogs, mice and god knows what else

thanks again

We think he's about 10 which is old for a husky, but we have had him for 6 years and although the rescue home wasn't sure they thought he was 4

Just make his life as happy as you can. That's pretty much all you can do.

I know what you mean about eating everything. We used to have a dog that would eat anything, including the kid's toys. My daughter used to have those hammerbead things, and he gorged himself on the packet when she left it lying around. At least finding his poop in the garden was easy after that, lol

It's now time for him to lie back and put his feet up and enjoy his retirement, after all that running he deserves it.
