Watching the bbc footage this morning and waiting for the fly past (tracking it as well on radar360) I have to admit, to having a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye

I'm proud to have been part of the RAF my only regret now is leaving

Thank you RAF and all who have, are and will serve

Per ardua as astra

Unfortunately I can't watch it live, as I'm at work, but hopefully will see it later.

Proud to have been 3rd generation RAF, my granddad having been a balloonatic during WW2, my dad a chef, and myself an Air Radar/Avionics Techie.
Sad that my son changed his mind about joining, but that's his choice.

100 years of proud tradition, from Sopwith Camel to F-35 Lightning!

Just returned from the roof of my office building, 14 floors up in the north of the City after demanding that I had to inspect my companies air con intakes at about 12.50pm today..... :-)

The fact that I had my camera with me had nothing to do with that flypast........!

Will post pics later.

I think the Typhoons stole the flying side of the show, with their "100" formation.

tiffy

What a shame the BBC Director and commentator/s couldn't get their act together.
