I bought this when it first appeared in the shops , started it and then it ended up in dry dock for over a year....time to start it up again.

This is how it looked ....

Been on it for a few days now .....

Bridge just needs a few touch ups to the radars and cranes.

I then gave the top deck a spray of Revell Aqua 331 Purple-red mixed with 83 Rust. Couldnt resist seeing what it looked like with the bridge on it :grin

It's not necessarily every day I see these, but normally at least once per week whilst I'm out with the dogs. I think I've seen nearly the whole class now over the months.

My God, it's a monster!
The Colombo Express Class held the title of the worlds biggest ship ....for two months !
I think the Maerske super container ship took the title.

That's one of the Solent sea forts in the foreground. Around 250 feet across as far as I remember.

Makes a big target for the U-boats! Whatever happened to them anyway? You never hear from them these days...

Here's the Tsingtao Express (as far as I remember it's one of the options on the Revell Decal sheet) leaving the Solent a couple of hours ago. Did my best to take a direct side-on view so maybe with a bit of cut'n'paste you can directly print the container designs off and apply them to the kit parts without worrying about painting.
