ooops, yes a typo, I did mean Flint. (Now corrected) I`ve just used the seats out the box so I can only assume Hase got them reasonably close? |

Decals start to go on....,![]() I saw these two pictures within my stack of bumf on 74 Sqn and they highlight the colour I wanted to get very well. (My OCD is also satisfied) ![]() ![]() The first one was taken at Akortiri during an APC with the F-4J being very green. The second one is a close up and a flash looks like it was used, but again the weird green/blue hue shows up pretty well. |

Another dodgy iPhone update shot. The main build is over, just need to get the u/c, pylons and stores in place. As usual for me, this is finished in a `worn/well used` look.

model looks great colour looks way off on the top pic though look at the vulcan in the background (and the sky) the gray looks very blue and the green looks very weak. Theres hardly any red or green in the pic i think its heavily blue weighted |

Don`t you start John.... Completely agree that theres some over exposure on that shot. I based my colour on the word of the ground crew that worked on them. They state quite clearly that it was a kind of duck egg blue and this seems to be confirmed by the second shot close up of the tiger and stripes. I think as Del and I discussed earlier, it simply is a case of light and exposure when a picture is taken that will depend of which hint of grey/green/blue you get. For me, the green/blue tint was what I was after as the FGR.2 in the stash will be the standard RAF greys and I wanted a comparison. |

exposure and white balance are 2 different things fella :) there shouldnt be anything wrong with the exposure in that shot it looks like there wasnt a cloud in the sky. |

You`ve just started talkiing in swahili to me mate Not a camera man so no idea what white balance is? Luckily the model isn`t as `green` as the photo so hopefully I`ve got something `in the middle` thats a pretty good representation.

whatever youve down it looks good exposure is how light/dark it is. too light and you blow the highlights ie the whites and lighter grays all merge into a white mush too dark and you lose alot of detail. camera phones are a bugger for poor low light performance. you get a lot of noise/grain and the colors tend to be over saturated |

A bit like my last pic post then... Cheers for the explanation. Might be a good idea if we had a `how to` thread on photo taking? |
