Builder of aircraft, any scale from 1:1 to 1:144!

I know I've been kinda quiet since the last GB, but I have been building. And what I've been building is turning out to be quite a beast actually! I got the Revell 1/32 Beaufighter kit in a part-ex with a friend, and decided it was too good to leave festering in the stash. So I cracked on. I had been warned that the cockpit detail is at best spartan, so I've built such things as the gunsight, instrument panel glare shields, engine controls etc. from scratch. Anyway, some pics from along the line. Starting to think 'hmm, this is gonna be big...' ![]() Camo'd up as a Malta based Beau. ![]() Some of the cockpit detail can be seen ![]() Now with rudder and gear doors on, and the massive props temporarily fitted ![]() ![]() Even has the patches over the gunports! ![]() And where we are now. As I type this I'm waiting for the cowlings to dry. Only the lower sections are glued, the top cowls will remain removable to see those big beautiful Bristols! ![]()

I like that. Always promised myself I'd get round to building one of these and in the scheme you've given it. That cockpit interior did put me off however - even the update set in the TF X boxing didn't really give much of an advantage. |

Glad you all seem to like it! I cracked on and got it finished this morning. It just needed the pitot head and radio aerial fitting, a couple of bits of paint touching up and that was that.![]() Best stick some more piccies in the gallery I suppose...
